There won't be a new striker joining any time soon. TO1AW will kid us all that we have a burgeoning squad of six strikers with the Lamppost, Wally, Hakuna Matata, Akpom, Sanogoals, and Welwide

ONE ARSENE WENGER.......THERE'S ONLY ONE ARSENE WENGER

Oh, what a surprise, transfer fees have risen again and we're not going after the best players because we won't pay the asking prices. So what's the fucking point of all that money sitting in the bank accounts? How many goals or assists or last-ditch tackles does it manage each season? What is the fucking plan? Why are we so far behind the game again?

When will the sheep wake up and realise that it's Wanker's fault that we are in this position again because if he's got his finger out and got the right players in a few years ago, we wouldn't need such a massive overhaul or outlay? Why are we never competitive? Why are we never going after the biggest names? Why are we always so fucking disorganised? Why are the bids we make for third-rate players so embarrassingly derisory? We're back to where we were six or seven years ago, with a couple of bored world-class players who are fed up of carrying the dross around them, a few average players and a lot of utter shit that wouldn't get anywhere near a decent team or would get sold in a day by a decent manager. How has this shit been allowed to happen again?

This ^^

He moans like fuck about international duty and its impact on players and gives those involved a prolonged rest......and yet despite the fact it comes round every other year, he allows us to sleepwalk into the start of the season with half a squad through injuries and resting and gets off to a shite start. I remember watching a desperately unfit Alexis being called from the bench to try and salvage something against the Shammers on the opening day, whilst the Villa debacle from a couple of years back defied belief

Klopp will have the Mickeys up for it and fit and firing with the likes of Coutinho returning. Meanwhile Clueless will enter the season with the BFG out, Kos rested after playing up to and including the final and minus Mister Twirly, Sanchez, the Lamppost and Ozil all rested. It wouldn't be so bad if we'd signed the 3 to 4 players needed but just like when we had imposters like Frimpong and Traore starting in the season of the mad trolley dash window closing signings, this year we'll have Akpom, Wally, Gabriel, Chambers and Sanogoals in that opening day squad

Predicting a 0-2 opening day defeat with the excuse being how many players we had involved up until the latter stages of the Euros

We shouldn't be surprised at this shit. It's been going on for 8+ years. TOF will not change. We know this.

Two more years and Kranky could have got ALL of his money back from buying the club and can sell it for over a billion £ profit. Don't expect Wonga to splash any more money except maybe a paltry 5m or so on yet another piece of garbage to fill a squad spot. Wonga will be on a MASSIVE bonus for not spending any of this years money (considering he still hasn't spent last years AND we got £80m from Sky last year and another guaranteed £55m this season without being on TV at all)!!

Lying money grabbing bastards, all of them. RIP Arsenal FC 1886 - 2011
Spot on. Although I think the club died when we left Highbury and TOF got a God complex :(

this is what gazidis meant when he cited leics picking up players that had been overlooked from french crappy teams.

we have been there done that, failed. it used to work ehen it was untapped.

leics got lucky. for every kante there are 50 sanogos. likewise leics had to shop in that area.

kos eventually devleoped into a good defender (not outstanding) most of the time (in these times of a dearth of good CB's)

wenger is just being cheap. sickens me
The standard of player our cash rich club looks for is nothing short of embarrassing.

Fucking embarrassing low-balling shite. Dick Law is a joke.

The fact that we put the screws on a bankrupt Bolton to haggle the price down to sign a kid is sickening.

Deathly quiet on potential signings - actually preferable to the usual nonsense about us being poised to spend £250m.

The Higuain non-signing has made Wenger look the twat he was for penny-pinching and not signing a proven goalscorer and deadly striker at the highest level for what was a bargain price for a 26-year old. The bloke was as cast-iron guarantee as you can get to bag goals and Wenger turned his nose up and decided to continue his vanity project by chucking money at Danny Welbeck whilst deciding to pay the bungling Walcott and Giroud a combined quarter of a million a week.

Higuain has scored bags of goals last two years and is now pissing off for double his cost. Yet this will do nothing to change the perceptions of his brainwashed disciples.

And on that note, putting Wenger's shortcomings to one side we have absolutely zero chance of winning the title unless we are going to sign a striker who will score around 25+ PL goals next year.

Has height ever been a good indicator whether a striker will be good or not? Ben Yedder is superior to Lacazette which isn't difficult, but most importantly better than Giroud. That is the metric we should all go by. If he's better than Giroud, he will do.

So. Wengerwanker has tried to sign Vardy - Got knocked back - Wengerwanker tries to sign Lacazette (sp?0 and gets turned down...So he MUST know that the lampost ain't good enough or why else would he try and sign a striker....? So having admitted the lampost ain't gonna do it for us - Who will he try and sign next...???

If he ends up signing no striker that is an admittance of utter failure.

Clearly he was too expensive, Wenger wouldn't spend £30m 3 years ago so this was never ever getting off the ground.

With Higuain going to Juventus, how about Arsenal look at Dybala? He was on our wanted list a couple of seasons back.

Juventus are a bigger club than us. 4 consecutive league titles CL finalists and semi finalists. Don't think Higuain was ever gonna leave Italy at this point in his career.

Not in our system

and "will do"

well sorry but that's not good enough slightly better than giroud. What's the point. it's not difficult to be slightly better. we need a top class forward not some Joe average like yedder, we have plenty of those already. if yedder is all he will spend on then I'd rather he spends nothing as this is a waste, throwing money at avergaes player who we will be lumbered with first years. if he doesn't spend it will hasten his departure if he wastes it on crap like yedder he will hide behind the 'well I spent money what more do you want' excuse and say it's proof spending isn't the solution

At this point what difference does it make? Wenger will do what Wenger wants. All any of us can do is hope he has a few coherent brain cells working together to decide on a good upgrade to Giroud. He won't spend money on Griezmann, Higuain, Auba etc etc. I don't care who comes in as long as Giroud isn't our main striker next season and the replacement can do basic things like dribble with a bit of pace without falling over like a donkey.
