Guess what club topped that list

however....the cult followers over on Untold Arsenal think that this is a positive
I had a look on there a couple of weeks back and they were saying because we would have more of our team absent this meant that we had the better players (because so many did well in Euro 2016)
rob did you see the article about why the media views us in a negative way ?

Those "Untold Arsenal" mugs should be sectioned, they are ALL that is wrong with Arsenal FC

Well I feel much better after reading your insightful input here. Thanks.
Anytime. As welcoming as ever I see.
We welcome anyone that doesn't just come on here to have a childish pop at people just because they don't worship your God Wenger.
What utter nonsense. Your last paragraph is the epitome of the childishness to which you allude and, I believe, you know it. I have never saud Wenger is a god but I believe I appreciate what he has done. People who dont like my view, manage to put words in my mouth that have and never will be there.

Whatever hapoens I know i will be a gooner this season, next season snd every other until thr day I die. Who is manager will not change that, which cannot be said for some of his critics... by their own words. Until such tine that such as ypurself become the welcoming mods you would like to believe yoy are, then this negative pit of gloom will remsin as it is... sadly thats it.

Anyway, gooner that I am, i will return and, as promised before, bump a comment i made a few years ago, just to see what responses/excuses I get.

Oh put your knickers back on, superfan.  "Utter nonsense"? How so? We welcome any pro-Wenger posters here, once they actually turn up and debate the issues. But you don't do that, do you? No. You turn up and either tell us what a great and loyal fan you are, or you basically just have a childish pop at other users.

In fairness to Stevie I, he USED to come on and debate quite eloquently the merits of Wenger and AFC and stood his ground in the face of, by and large, the majority of forum members on here. He was able to give what he perceived as valid arguments that no other AKB was able or willing to put forward. At the time I remembered thinking 'fair fucks, at least he can go further than the usual, careful what you wish for, who else blah blah ' crap and at least added an intelligent dissenting voice to what is probably the most vocal anti Wenger forum.

That said, he was still talking bollocks ;) :).............but reasoned bollocks, and had the bollocks to do so as opposed to the others who came out with the usual rhetoric and disappeared over the Online Gooner horizon once called out on it,and who at this stage are probably major contributors to the likes of 'Untold Arsenal '

Suppose every forum needs healthy debate and he to me, was one of the few if any that had a shot of it. With each passing year, this forum becomes more one sided, whether it's because more and more give into the realisation that the problem lies with Wenger or can no longer stomach losing a debating fight that is harder to justify. Think the 'I'm a real fan ' response is a poor reflection of what he has wrote previously and possibly reflects the latter.

Not sure what Steve I expected though with a flying visit to this place though :) course we're all gloomy fuckers in here, three days into the 'Good News for Arsenal supporters ' thread, there's not one positive post in there :)

Back on topic and moving away from Highbury JD's superfan raft that Steve I seems to have boarded........we're going to lose this fucking game aren't we, and endure the Klopp wankathon.

Still, even if we're 8th at Christmas we'll still manage to scrape our way to 4th won't we?

When's the draw for the CL? I need to plan for December in Pireus......

Just to re-establish the point at the start of the new season

Singing "Will Grigg (or anyone else) is on fire" or copying the Iceland clap and chant, doesn't make you slightest bit amusing or original. You will look and sound like a copycat cock, so please don't

Just saying......

Ship has already sailed. They've lapped that shit up over here.

And then the shock of finding out that it was wigan who started the song and a couple of hundred other clubs have been doing similar claps and chants for years. You mean other football goes on all round the year??

"There's only One" and "by far the greatest team" are the only two songs I want to hear in the new season..

Yeah no point in Arsenal fans singing that, might create a bit of atmosphere at the Emirates.

However, I cannot remember Arsenal fans coming up with original chants since the 90s when we pioneered "1-0 to the Arsenal" and that must have taken a few milliseconds to think up.

So going along with the said song is it not no different any different to adopting songs like "we've got Ozil, Mesut Ozil I just dooooon't fink you understand", and it's a chance to get rid of probably the campest song in the premiership ala "alexis sanchez baby!!"

1-0 to the Arsenal was born away at PSG at half-time in the cup winners cup semi final when the dj played Go West and we sung along with it

Think " Vieira oooooooaaah" to volare was original, and Samir Nasri' s na- na-na-na-na-na is the campest song.

And the PSG fans were already singing a version along to the tune.

The guy who used to sit behind me at Highbury claimed him and his dad started that one-nil song in the away leg. It was in response to the PSG fans singing ''Allez Paris St-Germain'' to the same tune and they started it when we scored. He could have been lying that it was him obviously but that's often how the best chants get started.

Sadly I heard a Chelsea fan singing the Vieira song about Vialli before we adopted it ... but ours was better :)
