And the Queue begins

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Jack takes his usual place in the queue with Welbeck, so we now only need to wait to hear about Wally's latest six month setback and another long termer for Gibbs and the queue to the physio's waiting room will have its usual look about it

It's farcical, but not a surprise

It seems that when TOF doesn't have them doing passing drills, he's flogging them to death in the gym. They are so brittle.

Not too disheartened about BFG's injury, and I'm sure most gooners feel the same way. I can't see him forcing his way back into the team now after this lay off. Arsene has no choice but to go out and purchase a CB now.

Is that what was your favourite 170 mins of the 170 games he has played for arsenal?
Mine was in 13/14 when he equalised at west brom
Then scored that goal after the intricate move with giroud v norwich where he later made the pass for ramsey in the 4-1 win.

I'd love it if Wilshere had an injury free season and got up to top form with a run of games. The sad fact is this is very unlikely to happen.

Also, with those two examples, you've just listed a third of Jack's league goals for us-not good enough for an attacking midfielder!

And with Jack being Jack I'm sure we will see game number 171 and his next goal sometime around Xmas or January. Maybe.

He can be brilliant on his day, but I'm done with him now - he's a crock. Fuck it. If he cannot put in a full season what's the point of paying him approx £100K a week? Look at his PL appearances (not full games, just appearances, including sub appearances) since he came back from the Bolton loan (supposedly the now-completed article at that point);

2010/2011 - 35 (yippee!) :barscarf:
2012 - 0
2013 - 25
2014 - 24
2015 - 14
2016 - 3

He's 24, in his absolute prime, and he is an injury prone crock. We haven't gotten even near a full season out of him since 2011. Skilful player, sometime genius on the ball, but how often do we see that?? 2 or 3 times a season and not at all in 2012 and 2016! :|

Sadly, it's time to write him off, I think... :( :|

Thing that always irks me about situations like this (it happened all the time with diaby too), is that these players are frequently given new 3 or 4 year contracts, with a pay rise, before they ever prove that they can remain fit for an acceptable amount of time  Wilshere should be told that we will extend his contract by a year, on the same wages, and if he can remain fit for most of that season we will then discuss a new longer term contract. To do that though, would require the club to take back the power from the players, and run this part of the club as it should be run  No doubt wilshere will then throw his dummy out of the pram and publicly push for a move away, but if that is what happens then so be it because it is better than us paying him a fortune and him contributing sweet f.uck all  I remember for years fans argued that wenker was right to keep diaby as long as he did cos they didn't want him to go elsewhere and prove to us what a good player he is - it is now 12 months since diaby has left us and yet again he spent most of his season on the treatment table but now that it is no longer our problem, I really don't give a fcuk 8)
