Those guys who write untold are truly weird, sort of bed wetting do gooding liberals with an Arsenal twist...if thats possibleKvltman wrote:I have just read the most deluded article yet on Untold Arsenal.
Apparently we don't need to buy another striker as:
Cause and Effect
Philosophy
No direct correlation between spending big and winning titles.
Apparently expensive signings only deliver a high standard of performance 25% of the time. Not sure what Ozil and Sanchez did wrong in their first seasons!
The best reason not to buy a top striker is just in case he doesn't perform and poor Arsene gets grief for replacing him with another option from the press, or even ridicule for subbing him for someone like Akpom.
Honestly, when reading the sanctimonious tripe on there I go in seconds from laughing my head off to how proposterous it all is, to fuming with anger at how these type of fans are contributing to the limbo we find ourselves in.
I try not to read but its proving too addictive, like watching Jeremy Kyle

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I think you miss the point. Wenger is doing exactly what Kronke wants him too. As a business Arsenal has already made the Kronke a fortune. As a buisness we are now worth 1.1 Billion. It's a hell of a lot a money well worth 10 Million in wages a year. I'm not joking either. On the pitch we suffer but for example we only paid 2.5 Million for Holding. If he played for Southampton he would have cost 15 Million but we ripped off Bolton who might not even survive as a football club due to dept. We are ruthless money making machine.armchair wrote:Wenger apologists really have no arguments left. They just make shit up. Like we have/had no money.
Their argument of choice these days is.......
"Look how loyal he is. Look what hes done for us. Wenger deserves to stay, well, just because, he does......."
No money my arse. Theres plenty for Wenger though. With minimal return

Selfish egotistical narcissist acts like the club's money is his own - it's the fans who pump tens of millions in whilst he takes a whacking great salary out.
We've got no hope of winning the title or doing anything other than completely humiliating ourselves in the CL as ever - so the one thing I care about this season is seeing Wenger off.
That is the only barometer of whether this has been a successful season.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
We've now had what - 4 pre season games (I think?), that's 360 minutes of football, of which I have watched the sum total of zero seconds. And you know what? the world hasn't stopped spinning and I haven't felt the loss of it.
Now obviously pre season football isn't where it's at and when the real stuff kicks off I'll probably feel a whole lot different, but maybe tuning out of Arsehole Wanka's Arsenal is the best thing all round for me.
It will mean a lot less anger and hatred in my life for one which is no bad thing obviously. No stressing out, no feeling of helplessness, no despair.....nothing.
I think ultimately that will be Wanka's legacy to me - complete indifference to something which was once my life.
Thank you very fucking much indeed.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
The money is never a problem for me if we have to pay what is requested.
“The price of a player is down to four ingredients – talent, age, how much you expect him to improve your team and his re-sale value.
“If he ticks all four boxes the price is not important.
“But you have to find the players. All the Premier League clubs have a lot of money, they look everywhere and there is not a lot happening.

So in the last 12 months, Wenger has literally found only THREE players who were worth it for the first team (Cech - who was an obvious signing - Elneny, Xhaxa). What do those scouts get paid for?

Absolutely how I feel. Especially after the unparalleled rollercoaster as a Wales fan during the Euros instead of the usual summer slumber, I give absolutely zero fucks about the season starting and don't even know who we are playing or who half of the other big sides' new signings are because I've not wasted my time this summer.rodders999 wrote:We've now had what - 4 pre season games (I think?), that's 360 minutes of football, of which I have watched the sum total of zero seconds. Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Sounds like Wenger is truly getting his excuses in now. He says not a lot is happening. I thought it was his (highly paid) job to make things happen? Not wait for an 'opportunity'.
We will sign nobody because there is nobody!

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Wenger including re-sale value as one of the key ingredients for signing a player yet again shows the emphasis is still about profit.
Why does re-sale value matter if a player immediately improves the team? Does everything really have to be about money at this club FFS !
This idea that buying a player it is only worthwhile if you can sell him for a profit a few years later is ludicrous ... especially when you have upwards of £200m sitting in the bank. But it is what Wenger and the club are all about. A despicable bunch of frauds and hypocrites.

Most manager's are only concerned with improving the team, and the chances of winning.
What resale value was Bendtner ? Almunia ? Denilson ? Rosicky ?
Complete Arse !

As a Gooner that is the part that worries me most - it is basically announcing to the world that we view ourselves as a selling club and it will probably deter and quality player from joining us too

I love the way that they say "wengers specially concocted formula".............that c.unt wouldn't be able to concoct a cup of tea

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Why are people getting so wound up (and abusive?!!) about the re-sale value part of wengers equation?
Its completely logical that re-sale value comes into the equation when valuing a player.
Its all about risk management. You can rarely guarantee success so having the fallback of a decent re-sale value is clearly advantageous.
Is he wrong? Really??

I'm not saying it's not a factor but
"It's all about risk management" basically sums up our approach over the last decade.

I get where you're coming from G88ner but resale value should never be a real/priority consideration.g88ner wrote:Why are people getting so wound up (and abusive?!!) about the re-sale value part of wengers equation?

Any player no matter how expensive can suffer a drop in form when moving club, get a serious injury or other form of problem which causes a large drop in resale value.
I think the disgust is less about the resale value being included as a part of a reason to buy a player but more the fact that everything to do with this club revolves around protecting our already massive and greatly increasing money reserves.
Lets be honest a large part of the financial success at the club is based around how much money the club can glean from the fans, but the problem is many of us fans feel there should be a certain amount of reciprocation as their is at other clubs, we pay for tickets, merchandise, strips etc and expect a good proportion of that money to be in turn spent on improving the playing staff at the club and lets be honest in recent seasons that hasn't really happened.
AW and Gazidis' constant bullshit with respect to the transfer market is really beginning to wear a bit thin, especially as it seems to be well documented that the club has significant financial reserves (anywhere between £100-200M depending on where you look), the outlay so far this season is more than covered by the increase in TV money, the increase by the way not including the money that was already there from the previous seasons deal.

Something you'll never hear from a supporter of any other team anywhere, ever.
Only at Arsenal.
Only during Wengers reign
And only repeated by his apologists or those who are stupid enough to be duped by Wengers absolute bullshit, excuses and lies

Just yet another despicable lie from a complete charlatan to cover up his total, utter incomoetence and negligence.
