THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I absolutely hate Arsene Wenger more than any other person in any single sport. If you would have told me 7 years ago that I would hate Wenger more than Mourinho I would have thought you insane...but here we are.

The season has not yet even begun and already Arsenal are ensconced in their first injury crisis. In the past, the Gunners have been struck badly by ill-fortune, robbing them of key players in a spookily systematic manner. However, this time Arsene Wenger must accept a big portion of the blame. This mess is largely of Arsenal’s own making.

For someone on over £8 MILLION a year this is beyond a JOKE

Wenger will go into the first couple of games with a makeshift, patched together defence. If we lose he'll point to the unfortunate pre season injuries we have suffered. So the excuse is already on standby. That we have no cover will not be mentioned, nor will any "journalist" be brave enough to bring it up.

How bad could our start to the season be, its not like we will lose 8-2 or anything, even Wenger couldn't survive that.

Sky Sports News has also obviously decided that our "challenge" for the title has virtually zero credibility as they don't even include Wenger in the backdrop which features the main contenders. :banghead:
I heard that cringey bastard Robbie, from Arsenal fan TV, was going to be on there.
On Sportsbar it was Jason Cun.ty and the Manure presenter, on the morning show that I heard part of, it was a woman whose surname was Nichol, she made some good points about how we were being made a laughing stock by Wenger,Kronke, and Gazidis

I have to agree with Yankie and Xgtdec on this one DB10, Moanhino is a crunt but he is exactly what he seems to be, a despicable crunt, Wenger on the other hand is an crunt but tries to pretend he is some sort of ultimate football manager and savant on everything else, i can deal with crunts like moaninho but ones like Wenger just make me feel like picking up a cricket bat or some sort of other swinging stick :box:

José Mourinho is the only person that puts pressure on Wenger or draws attention to his failings.

well done, Jose, keep it up. :barscarf:

I have now finally decided I want Arsene Kroenke PLC 1996 to lose as many matches as it takes to get rid of Wenger & Kroenke, if it's relegation so fucking be it! I'll make an exception for the **** & Chavs & Spammers & that's it! :barscarf:

I can no longer support the same club as the Wenger moonie cultists, I despise everything the cúnts & their messiah stands for , they are not proper Arsenal so why should I support their corrupt franchise Arsene FC 1996.

They haven't got any of my cash since '09 & now I hope they get beaten every week!

Before any Wenger moonie cúnts start saying I'm not proper Arsenal come back when you've followed The Arsenal for 47 years, home & away Europe & beyond. :box:

Respect to proper old school Gooners everywhere. Not including Wenger cultists! :box:

I think what you're saying is echoed around the Arsenal supporting community. You're right, the Wenger cultists might as well support a different team to me. They're like fucking Scientologists, brainwashed into following some ridiculous leader who has constructed his own cult of personality. They attack anyone who dares question them and won't listen to any other points of view. The club is dead now. This isn't The Arsenal. This is some shit, souless pyramid-scheme. A fucking con-job preying on those who are too fucking stupid or brainwashed to to see it. I can not support this at the moment, I just can't support something so disrespectful and dismissive of its real followers.

Cheers Perry, At least others can understand my anger & feelings. :barscarf:

Few posters on the Herd website with similar views expressed before I had my rant, this is what it has come to civil war between factions of cultists & Arsenal supporters. :cussing:

After last season, everyone thought Wenger would act and address the short comings, given we blew what should have been an easy league title. The thinking was, no way could Wenger not react with extraordinary measure as a response to the failed title bid, and the fact this years league will be extremely competitive.

Yet here we are, Giroud still number 1 striker, and Rob Holding who spent last season playing in League One, is likely to start at centre half against Liverpool. Initially the thinking was we would sign a centre half. Although it then became a necessity when it was revealed Mertesacker would be out for months, yet now Gabriel is supposed to be out for 2 months, and with LK still not match fit, Callum Chambers is the senior centre half, and Rob Holding his starting partner. This is Wenger not doing his job. If you are a structural engineer, and did nothing when one of the pillars showed obvious signs of decay - you get sacked. Why isnt Wenger getting sacked for sitting on his ass whilst the problems build up?

This is why I have no time for the pundits, because they never learn - they dont get it through their thick heads. Wenger is not going to address the short comings. Wenger has his own way, and he will be fucked before he ever changes. So when the likes of Seaman, Henry, Souness, Dixon, Redknapp, and all the other Wenger lovers say things like 'oh I support Arsene, but he just needs to sign three players'. Will they just shut the F up because for a decade now, Wenger has done it his own way. You cant support Wenger on the condition he do the bare necessities - because history has shown it wont happen. Simply put, if you support Wenger, you endorse Giroud as striker. If you support Wenger, you are quite happy to see Arsenal go into the season under-prepared and undermanned.

Every year, its always the same - 'I support Wenger, but he just needs to sign 3 players'. And they fuking say the same thing every year, and every year the players dont come and we falter. Last year people couldnt believe Wenger didnt sign an outfield player. Refusal to do so had dire consequences. And here are again.......

What has been learned?

Two things;

A. I would struggle to find anyone I hate more than Moron-hio. :x

B. No matter how bad this season could possibly get, it will not lead to the dismissal of Wenger. The shit owners will just say "Wenger has earned the right to try and turn it round, here's a 3 year contract extension". :x

If any of you genuinely believe anything that happens this season will have any negative effect on Wenger's tenure then you are simply deluding yourself. And that's the bit that some of the obsessive Wenger-haters don't get. They think he is the only problem. He ain't. He is certainly a huge problem, but so are the useless cúnts that employ him and will never sack him. Ever. They give him the freedom to fail and he laps it up.

If you own something, the responsibility for its well being rests with YOU, not a paid employee. That employee does a job. If that employee fails then YOU have to take action. The be-wigged cúnt will never sack Wenger, never bring him to task. There are no repercussions for Wenger if he fails. I've said it before and I'll say it again; we need Wenger gone, Mediocrity Stan gone, Gazidis gone. Just replacing Wenger is not enough - to think so is incredibly shortsighted and narrow-minded. This culture of profitable football failure, acceptance of the "runner-up ethos" and failed technical approach are thick throughout the club, from the guys that coach the kids right up to the board room. The club needs to be scoured clean.
