As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Singing "Will Grigg (or anyone else) is on fire" or copying the Iceland clap and chant, doesn't make you slightest bit amusing or original. You will look and sound like a copycat cock, so please don't
Just saying......
Yeah no point in Arsenal fans singing that, might create a bit of atmosphere at the Emirates.
However, I cannot remember Arsenal fans coming up with original chants since the 90s when we pioneered "1-0 to the Arsenal" and that must have taken a few milliseconds to think up.
So going along with the said song is it not no different any different to adopting songs like "we've got Ozil, Mesut Ozil I just dooooon't fink you understand", and it's a chance to get rid of probably the campest song in the premiership ala "alexis sanchez baby!!"
1-0 to the Arsenal was born away at PSG at half-time in the cup winners cup semi final when the dj played Go West and we sung along with it
Think " Vieira oooooooaaah" to volare was original, and Samir Nasri' s na- na-na-na-na-na is the campest song.
And the PSG fans were already singing a version along to the tune.

You beat me to it
I remember singing that song for pretty much all the second leg vs PSG on that rainy night at Highbury, then all through the final in Copenhagen. Amazing resilience from a team that was lacking in pure skill but had an abundance of guts, fast forward 22 years and its the other way round .
Arsene Wenger hinted that he may not buy a defender during the summer transfer window, despite to apparent defensive crisis at the club.
Speaking ahead of the Liverpool game next week, he said:
“I already have an idea [as to who will play]. It [the City game] will contribute but on Sunday we will play against top-class strikers who will want to do well against us.
“Our defenders will be tested so I might use a few combinations during the game. I believe that Bielik, Chambers and Holding will be fighting for the place between the three of them.”

I fancy the scousers to have a good season. What Klopp did in getting to 2 finals more than us last year with that squad, was what a tactically astute, top manager can do.
As we have a tactically inept man in charge of our team, I think they will come and do a job on us, which is not difficult for any manager worth his salt and turn us over and once again, the good start he tells us we need will be blown away.

Sunday could go either way. Two inconsistent teams on the first day back. Could go 3-0 either way.
But I don't think the mousers will have a better season than last. I wouldn't go so far as to call Klopp a "tactically astute, top manager". Klopp is a decent manager, not a top manager. He says all the right things and oh wow he's passionate and all that good shit - but in the end he failed to win either of two very winnable trophies last season. There is something of the bluffer about Klopp and I reckon this could be the season he really gets found out. You can only play the eccentric lovable mad bastard for so long before people start to look a little deeper to see if there is anything more than just that persona in play.
Also, tbh any team that builds its midfield around Jordan Henderson won't be finishing top 4 or winning trophies anytime soon.
I have got a ticket for this one, but I am seriously considering cutting my losses,(£65 approx.), and not going. This little cartel,(Wenger,Kronke, and Gazidis), are totally muuging us of. They justified the move from Highbury as a way of increasing revenue to allow us to compete in the transfer market, so for years we swallowed the sale of players and lack of proper investment in the squad. Now however the stadium is paid for, but has just become a cash cow for Kronke to finance his real love,( his baseball team), and a revenue stream to keep the manager and the board in the lifestyles that they feel WE should provide them.
Therefore, I may save myself the trainfare, beer money etc, and just write the ticket price off and boycott Sundays game, my empty seat being my protest, all be it a futile one.
I think that we will win this. Wenger ain't buying any defenders nor strikers and this will vindicate his decision (in his mind). After the window slams shut, the wheels will start to fall off.
