The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Hmmm ... who among us can identify anybody better than this group of sharpshooting hitmen?

Giroud - 2nd rate striker

Sanchez - quality but not a striker

Walcott - 5th rate, not even a player - just a runner.

Welbeck - 2nd rate, not a striker, injured

Sanogo - nowhere close to a 2nd rate postman even.

A few slight amendments there Clash.

You lot think we need a CB and a striker but you're influenced by the media you dumb fucks. You haven't a fucking scooby. Fucking peasants with an opinion on everything. The great one has worked 32 years in the game and made 400 transfers. What have you done? Had a ***** in your sister's knicker drawer that's what.

our one signing Xhaka was a very shrewd move by wenger,he is a sending off waiting to happen,so when we are down to 10 against the chavs, city, utd within 10 minutes after a Xhaka sending off it gives wenger a ready made excuse, the guy is a genius :barscarf:

On a positive note I hope Rob Holding becomes a very good CB for us. I don't get the huge amount of money spent on Stones.
Mind you does this mean the end for 17 Million Chambers? Holding preferred yesterday so it's not looking good for him. Also we all know 17 Million was wasted on Gabriel so all this talk about being extra careful about bringing in top top quality players is rubbish. We just wasted 34 Million.

And that is just two examples among many others.

Absolutely right - signing players from the 10-15m bracket is often a false economy because we end up getting zero value out of them. Two years ago we spent nearly 30m on two right-backs and they have both been a complete disaster here.

We would be far better off financially (not to mention football-wise) had we signed Higuain rather than Welbeck and shipped out either Giroud or Walcott.

There is at least one more panic signing left for us this window and it will probably mean being lumbered with a £10-20m striker who just isn't good enough and probably has a dodgy injury record to boot.

Chambers will be just like Matthew Upson. Brought in as a youngster, put in as an occasional desperate measure and then sold to another club where he will become a good player when given proper coaching and advice.

You ungrateful fucks want us to sign a striker? Well go tell the tea lady she's sacked then.

A new CB?? Well that's the programme seller and the guy flipping burgers losing their jobs unfortunately. What a load of fucking horse shit, he truly is the scum of the earth.

One days match revenue pays the wages of 99% of those workers for the entire fucking year. Shame the cretinous piece of shit wasn't so concerned about his employees well being when the club told them to go fuck themselves last year when approached about implementing the living wage.

FUCK OFF YOU DICKHEAD

I'm now at the point where I hope we sign nobody and TO1AW has to deal with the fall out which I now actually have the confidence will be higher than ever given the high profile managerial appointments elsewhere

I hope every home and away match becomes a fucking living hell for him because he's destroyed my feelings for the club to the level I've never had before i.e. where I don't actually want to watch any of our matches

I don't understand how any anti-Wenger fan could want to see new signings come in, before the window closes. Everyone knows wanker is a busted flush, and regardless of who he signs, he has fuck all chance of finishing ahead of Mourinho, or Pep, and winning the title. Any signing brought in, is to help in the race for a VT spot.

I see in the press this morning there seems to be widespread reporting of us actually being close to a major signing

I do hope its Draxler - another attacking midfielder is so obviously the priority

To put Wellbeck in the same category as Giroud is laughable. In the few games Wellbeck has played for Arsenal, he has shown himself not only to be a good finisher but a good team player too. If Wellbeck could keep himself fit, I would put the priority on sorting out the defence rather than getting another striker. Sadly like too many other players, his fitness is a big issue.
