That is absolutely hilarious.
Presumably Wenger will piss away another day going to his appeal hearing because he is such a special talent like that other Japanese kid we flogged after about half a decade of being a no-mark.

Re: TAKUMA ASUNA
Embarrassing.
Surely there are rules and guidelines in place for securing a work permit for a player that Arsenal would have been aware of? Especially after what happened with Ryo. It used to be that a player from a non-EU country had to have made a certain percentage of appearances for the national team etc
Another mistake being repeated! Sums the club up at the moment sadly.

The only thing that would make this funnier is if it turned out he had a broken back...

Don't you all know he's 'one for the future'??
AW is sure he'll be as good as Ryo Miyaichi.

Shame really. His song could have been to the tune of "Stick your two points up your arse" (also known as “She’ll be coming round the mountain when she comes.”);
"Twenty thousand, twenty thousand, twenty thousand jerseys sold!"

"Twenty thousand, twenty thousand, twenty thousand jerseys sold!"

Re: TAKUMA ASUNA
Why does TOF keep signing young non-EU players who can't get a fucking work permit because they are usually cap-less?
Then, when they finally get a permit, they are still farmed out on loan and then sold, like Miyaichi (who is now playing in the German Second Division).
Exceptional talent, my arse.

If the stubborn old bastard wants non-EU players, he would be better off signing experienced internationals, like Gilberto and Kanu

TOF should remember this about work permits:
Anyone who plays Football Manager should know this, let alone Mr. £23K-per-dayWhat are the criteria which will be used?
Work permits will only be issued to international football players of the highest calibre who will be able to make a significant contribution to the development of the game of football in the United Kingdom at the highest level.
How is it established that the player is an international player of the highest calibre?
In order to establish on an initial application that the player is an international player of the highest calibre the following criteria must be met:
http://www.inbrief.co.uk/football-law/footballer-work-permits/
- A player must have player for his country in at least 75% of its competitive A team matches of which he was available for selection, during the two years preceding the date of the application
The player’s country must be at or above 70th place in the official FIFA world rankings when averaged over the two years preceding the date of the application
