THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Arselickerblog this morning it seems.....its all Stans fault. He also seems to suggest that Wenger is protecting us from the mediocrity that's stans waiting to bestow on us and that any new manager at all would be worse.

I could be taking him up incorrectly though!

Well he's not doing a very good job then as we are mediocre.
Been said countless times and by Wenger himself, money is not an issue.

Wenger is at fault for not spending the money and being totally out of touch with modern football. The board are at fault for letting him get away with it.

As for a new manager being worse, I rather take my chances as it is better than the current purgatory. Even if we get it wrong, it is a hell of a lot easier to sack a manager after one year than after twenty.

Doesn't surprise me one bit - when I read his piece yesterday I could see that he was already beginning to drift back into his standard defend wenker mode, so it isn't surprising to see a full on defer blame policy is now the way he is going   :censored:

I think what's he's saying is the only thing that Arsenal fc have a surplus of, apart from money obviously, is massive massive wa**ers

It's not yours and it comes from us fans. We want you spend, the club say they want you to spend, so do your job improve the team and FUCKING SPEND IT!!!
If the club don't want you to spend it, then we the supporters need to know the reasons why? (Profit and bonuses obviously).
If not, move aside and let someone else do the job.

As bad as things are now, the next few seasons will be a real shit show. The arrival of Pep, Conte and Mourinho(coming back) has meant that any top player with a slight bit of ambition will be looking at the two Manchester clubs, and Chelsea as preferable destinations to Arsene F.C. As those 3 club all improve, we will stand still. The only question is, whether Klopp is good enough to bring L'pool into that final VT spot. For all the talk of Wenger always getting us the VT spot, I think that will change pretty soon. Whenever Wenger does fuck off, we will be closer to mid-table than the title.

Couldn't agree more - having a debate with a half reasonable akb (one who defends the c.unt whilst also acknowledging some faults) is fine by me, but those two crunts either are on the wind up or they really haven't got a Scooby doo  Anyone know if these people are schoolkids or maybe newbee's ? I refuse to believe that any long term/older Gooners could blindly 100% take that position

The latest article on Untold...

I started chuckling at the headline of 'THE CASE OF THE EWOB'... (Apparently they don't know that ALL CAPS on the internet is SHOUTING, and they imply all people who criticise Wenger are stupid)

By the time I had finished reading this long, bloated garbage I was in hysterics! The writer was clearly attacking people who believe Wenger's time is up with pseudo intellectualism based on human psychology and.....ageism?!? We cannot possibly support the club if we want Wenger to leave, a view so incredibly narrow minded that shows up how unintelligent the writer actually is.

I sincerely hope these type of supporters disappear with Wenger when he finally goes, they are as big a burden as he is.

I personally don't think Klopp is a top manager - he's good, but not top quality. But I'd imagine if he doesn't deliver what Liverpool want (the PL) within 2-3 seasons he'll be sacked. THAT is one of the components we are missing - a board/owner with the balls to sack an underperforming manager. So whilst the two manc clubs and the chav will certainly pull away from us, I wouldn't right off the mousers also getting ahead of, and pulling away from, us. :|

When Klopp does fail (to deliver the prem title) the scouserscum will sack him and bring in Eddie Howe...by then he will have much prem experience and they will then be a force in the prem - sad but possible...

We had the opportunity to bring in (possibly) pep or Koeman...and yet the wanker is still in charge...Doomed we are f'ing DOOMED. to an almighty smelly shitshow for at least 2 - 3 seasons more - Cos wenker is going nowhere....even with cwossy & co having a (slight/temporary) change of opinion.

Christ I just read the comments section under that utter shite "article". Fuck me swinging. So many of our supposed fans are absolute window licking arseholes. They seem to think accepting whatever shit is thrown at them by Wenger and the club and never criticising anything ever about Arsenal somehow makes them "real" fans. Fucking gobshites.
