The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I know it's a YouTube compiliation thing but Arseblog posted this morning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLtNFYo ... r_embedded

Looks like a lefty, looks mobile, certainly quicker than Giroud, at 27 approaching his peak years (you would hope). The price at 17 mil is the going rate, And he wouldn't need a work permit

Perez + Draxler + Evans + another mystery ligue 2 player = Arsene's £100 million trolley dash! :barscarf: :barscarf:

Looks amazing on Youtube tbf, if he's better than Giroud he will do.
Yeah - the Youtube clips look very good. Plays off the last man and has good pace. Can play on the wing or up front and has an eye for a pass. Not the earth-shattering signing that we wanted, but it's a signing that we desperately need. The thing is, we should have bought him a couple of months back rather than drop points.

If he buys the Mussachio guy, it would be a decent signing as well. We would have a defender who used to partner Gabriel, so language wouldn't be an issue any longer ;-) I suspect that is why Chambers is being sent to play elsewhere. We must be close to buying a defender.

Perez - Evidently Arsenals 5th or 6th preferred striker target this summer, Probably means he'll be shite. All the others have pied us off, or required us spending the going rate.

Still would like to see Lacazette playing for us. ..scoring for fun at the moment.....but not going to happen.

Not hoping on this one. If I wanted to hope, I would hope that he won't buy anyone and hope that he gets sacked today ;-)

For starters Gabriel himself isn't good enough and secondly, if after watching villareal we felt that Gabriel was the better player, then to me it suggests that this other guy is absolutely shite

"We" though is Wenger, and I wouldn't trust him to blow his beans up a rap-ho's burger in fairness. :banghead:

Okay, I would trust him to blow his beans up a rap-ho's burger. But nothing else. :x

Can't help feeling we are seriously scraping the bowl here. What is this Wenger said about signing quality. The guy has no pedigree and indeed was released by Athletico as a teenager. If he joins I will welcome the signing and hope he succeeds, but this is in no way a statement of intent imo.

Not arguing the scraping the bowl point, but does it really mean anything if he was a late bloomer? There are loads of examples of players who didn't make the grade as a teenager who did the business later on.

If we sign him, I will hope that he does well, but not well enough for Wenger to keep his job (unless we are actually challenging for the big pots - which we all know won't happen with Wenger).

My question would be why we are suddenly looking at a lot of La Liga talent? It makes me think that Simeone is in the pipeline (a man can dream)... :D
