Ok, ok I apologise for my poor french joke, but the only other one I know is why do the French only have 1 egg for breakfast ?

It's not a major problem, mate. But the thing with forums is the written word has no inflection like the spoken word and it can be hard to tell if someone is joking or not. Best bet is if you are joking use a "winky" (Ed Hunter The Gooner wrote:Ok, I sincerely apologize my comments which were meant to be more just joking about stereotypes but ended up being insulting. Not sure what part of Paris you were in, but it's a beautiful city. Also, I've found 90% of the Parisians that I've met to be fine. Once you make an effort at speaking French, most will happily speak English to you if they can.the playing mantis wrote:Ed Hunter The Gooner wrote:the playing mantis wrote:paris is a shithole, facking horrible city and it smells of shit![]()

db my language piece was tongue in cheek. however the shithole part stands.
I've had the dubious pleasure quite a few times, and the city is disgustingly dirty on the whole event the supposedly nice tourists bits let alone the parts around the state de France and certain arrondisements.
lille as an example on the other hand is lovely. Paris is overrated overhyped and people need to get out and visit the true parts of France.
same with those who come to UK and just visit London. Yes London is fine in small doses but if you have to work there everyday it soon gets tiresome especially the native bell ends who live here. be it the oh so better than you types aka nfg(alias Highbury jd) or the other end of the spectrum chavvy underclass who are stuck in a vicious circle of lack of education, motivation, benefits as the world has passed them by.

Um, I'm assuming that last paragraph has a few typos in it, mate. I'm well educated, I've worked every day of my adult life and never claimed benefits.the playing mantis wrote:DB10GOONER wrote:Not sure what part of Paris you were in, but it's a beautiful city. I found Paris to be similar to a lot of European capital cities; nice areas and slums. I liked it. Dated a French girl and spent alot of weekends getting to see the "real" Paris. Steeped in atmosphere and history, I loved it. And the people were fine, some ignorant, most friendly.

But no, I only shagged the French girlfriend. I found the French women in general were not as enamored of the Dublin accent as your English ladies are.

I love Paris and I like the Parisian "I fart in your vague direction attitude "
Be very very careful going into the area around the ground ,we had a humdinger of a battle with those fuckers which lasted for an age, they kept coming out of everywhere to have a pop !
Over 1 hour of a constant battle isnt fun and I can tell you they wont have forgotten as gthey didnt get their own way .
There are some picks on the web of that day taken by them ,quite revealing !
Aftetrwards you can pick up a transgender prostiture in the bois de boulogne !
Was also the last last time I saw Osama Bin laden at and Arsenal match !
