THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

No other club faced with our financial restraints had performed as well as AW. Always in the top four, sometimes even challenging for honours. So Arsene should be judged not from 2005 but from 2013
Anyone read the fucking drivel on the main site from that bore Graham Perry on his latest Arsenal Circular ? :banghead:
And here's a link to the correct article!  The link above is to someone having a pop at Arsenal in 2005.

It is indeed absolute drivel - full of "What Ifs" and twisting of the facts.

I've written an article for the main website and sent it to Gooner Ed yesterday, should be on the site tomorrow. I've tried to put forward as many reasons as possible why I want Wenger gone and I've tried to dismantle the rubbish written by Graham Perry.

What cracks me up is that AKBs go out of their way to defend Wenger at all costs. They always refer to the fact that "He built this Club" but then offer excuse after excuse as to why we couldn't win a bloody raffle. They are blissfully ignorant to the fact that - if he built modern Arsenal and he is the genius they say he is, why does he keep on fucking up?? He's either very unlucky or shit . . . . . .

:D Thanks for correcting the link mate, I have no idea how that happened!

Completely agree with your subsequent comment. The stadium move and this severe division in the fanbase are the saddest things of all for me.

Good points, I'll look out for your article.

Can we keep this thread after Wenger leaves at the end of the season? I'm sure it'll make a cracking read for the next manager.

What is equally depressing and downright worrying/frightening is that there are humans(ish) that cannot differentiate between the two.
Mind you after the scenes from 2014/15's pre-season tour of the far east - the adulation of Wenger (with self penned portraits etc held aloft) I would imagine the majority of them see Wenker as being Arsenel.

Sad fuckin' sad and bloody annoying

Dark days indeed for project Wanka - a 16 million pound player bombed out on loan today and now we will spend the last 24 hours of the window trying to hawk a guy on 100 grand a week to half the clubs in Europe.

Where did it all go wrong?

Write it down. Gnabry to be our Pogba. Of course, we will never break the bank to bring him back. Hell end up at Bayern and replace Ribery and Robben when they retire, and Gnabry and Muller will destroy the flanks in Germany for years to come.

This is a major F up by Wenger. Even worse than loaning Campbell despite giving Wally another chance.

Fuk wit wants to keep him. But of course, why would Serge stay when despite his performances, its impossible to get a game ahead of Feo Wally?

Campbell and now Gnabry, simply because Wenger wont admit the decade long project has been a waste.

Forget spending money. He cant even make the best of what he already has.

The thing is Gnabry won't progress at Arsenal.

If le fuckwit played him then it would probably be out of position. Good luck to the guy at Bayern Munich. He is one of the lucky escapees.

Meanwhile we are stuck with Walcott entering his second decade at the club :banghead:
