So where is the £350m (£18.2bn pa) a week for the NHS? Eustice was lying by the way.A11M11 wrote:In 2015, UK farmers received almost €3.1bn (£2.4bn) in direct payments, according to the NFU.
Farmers have access to the €5.2bn (£4bn) pot of funding that has been allocated to the UK for rural development projects over the period 2014-2020, including €2.3bn that has been transferred from the BPS to the UK rural development programmes.
At worse even if both payments were made together that would be £ 6.4 billion.
Farming minister Mr Eustice told the NFU conference that leaving would create an £18bn a year “Brexit dividend”. This could be used to continue payments to farmers through an improved scheme.
So 18 minus 6.4 = 11.6 . billion to be divvied up and spent elsewhere.

Yeah right ,his figures wrong ? , surely if he was going to lie he would over egg the pudding to try and get more money for his members not less . And if he did over exaggerate that means there's even more cash to divvy out.

Brexit isn't going to happen mate. The politicians with their snouts in the trough, the establishment, and all the others with a vested interest in the E.U. didn't get the result that they wanted/expected in the referendum, so democracy can go fuck itself.Rosie_titters wrote:Have we left yet![]()

It really isn't a debate just to say someone you disagree with is lying without even one word to back your assertion up. Come on; you're better than that.

Honestly I didn't think I had to debunk the £350m per week as I thought even the brexiteers had admitted it was a complete lie but any way,
https://fullfact.org/europe/our-eu-memb ... 5-million/
Eustice is a minister of the government and is under an obligation not to lie. ROFL. He is not an NFU representative. The above quoting is shit, but it is clear that there is no £350m, Brexit lied and what there is is going to farmers not the NHS. Brexit lied.

So the moral of the story is, DON'T BOTHER VOTING!, it's just bullshit.Chippy wrote:We haven't had a democratically elected government in this country since 1955.Rugby Gooner wrote:Brexit isn't going to happen mate. Re: EU referendum - What will you vote?
We have PR here in Oireland and it is not the flawless system some would try and have you believe. It can lead to extremist parties and idiot crackpot parties getting a foothold on power. It also often leads to useless, weak and indecisive coalition governments getting elected - something Oireland has a long history of. The knock on effect of PR putting coalition governments into power so often is things like improvements to public services are often almost impossible to implement under such weak coalition governments.northbank123 wrote:Despite the fact that people voted massively against PR?Chippy wrote:We haven't had a democratically elected government in this country since 1955.Rugby Gooner wrote:Brexit isn't going to happen mate. I read somewhere that If the last UK general election had been held under a PR system, UKIP would have been the third-largest party in your parliament, with 83 seats instead of 1.

Re: EU referendum - What will you vote?
If you mean that since the 50's more voters have cast their vote against the party with the majority of seats then you are right. However that is not the way our democracy works . Effectively since the second world war we have only had 2 votes that have had clear majorities . The first was the join the EEC trading agreement and the second leave the E.U political block. If you took the political rule from Brussels and Strasbourg out of the equation and went back to pure trade the vote would probably have been the other way. The silent majority of Brexit voters did not want the European super state or army that is on the cards ,it's the more vocal that get drawn into the immigration debate often by those that wish to make political capital from them.
Re: EU referendum - What will you vote?
Strange isn't it? Almost like people have no clue what they are voting for. And yes I do know the shit that is coming my way.northbank123 wrote:Despite the fact that people voted massively against PR?Chippy wrote:We haven't had a democratically elected government in this country since 1955.Rugby Gooner wrote:Brexit isn't going to happen mate. Re: EU referendum - What will you vote?
Not sure I agree with that - it's a fairy basic and fundamental distinction. The reality is that at General Elections 65+% of people vote Labour or Conservative. FPTP benefits those parties.
Would be interesting to see how PR would work for UK but I think in the short to medium term it would be very difficult. Our political system is used to a majority government and the adversarial nature is probably far more of a barrier to effective coalition governing than countries that have traditionally operated by coalition government.

Re: EU referendum - What will you vote?
So let's continue with a system that isn't fair and doesn't work just because the alternative might be slightly difficult. Believe the "complexity" of going to a PR system is as nothing compared to Brexit.northbank123 wrote:Not sure I agree with that - it's a fairy basic and fundamental distinction. but people dont know what their voting for, right?!
those who haven't got what they want should really just accept it rather than constantly whine about it.
when boundary changes occur we will never have another Labour government ever!
woohoo. like it or not england is right to moderatley right wing, and the majority are not left leaning or centrist and never has been and never will be, as much as hand wringing, toynbeesque, guardinistas think it is/are.
these people live in a sneering, 'my farts don't smell' bubble, where they think they know best and everyone who disagrees with them is thick and or racist and or bigoted.
