Arsenal turn their attentions to Robinho
Arsenal Football Club are willing to let Jose Antonio Reyes move to Real Madrid on a permanent basis – yet they want Robinho in exchange.
The Bernabeu club were initially reluctant to sign Reyes on a permanent deal following a disappointing loan spell, yet his two goals won Los Merengues La Liga title on the final day.
This has led to Real wanting to sign the Spaniard for around £8million, yet Arsene Wenger will sanction this only if he can loan Robinho for next season with the option of a £10million transfer next summer.
The Brazilian striker has been in fine form in the current Copa America tournament in Venezuela, where he has scored four time in three games to fire his nation to the last eight.

Have I forgotten the who?
Well at least this brazilian can offer width, I didn't think Baptista's game plan would suit us from the beginning. He like to play more physical football, whereas Robinho will slot into our technical style of passing play better than the beast.
The beast would be better off at Bolton come to think of it.

I say yes.
Reyes doesn't want to come back and if we can get him on the same basis we got Baptista great. Gives us chance to see what he can do in our team and how well he will settle.
Think people are automatically think ing this deal is a failure because of the way Baptista performed. Think it's wrong to do that. If we hadn't taken the loan we could have spent a fortune and been lumbered with Baptista now so it worked in a perverse way.
Robinho for Arsenal? Most definitely, then lets see if we still feel the same at the end of the season.

Agree with Chopper and most of the others on here. Have liked Robinho since seeing him about three years ago and thought he would be a good signing. Then we got linked with him last season, and I was all excited, but he chose those Real 'Wankers In' Madrid, instead.
He can play anywhere in the front three positions or even as a withdrawn striker ala Bergkamp (although obviously not as good as DB10 yet) - which means we would have width on both sides and cover down the middle.
If we could get him on the aforementioned loan basis, or even in a swap plus a little cash deal involving Reyes, I would be very content. To be honest though, I'm not optimistic the deal will get done.
