Anyways, as soon as Ramsey is healthy we all know he goes straight back into the starting 11 and the team will suffer because of it.
Glad Laurent Kosicleny got a high place on the list. I hand on heart believe he is the best centre half in the premier league by a country mile. He might even be the top centre half in Europe.
Easily worthy of being mentioned in the same breath as Adams & Campbell in terms of ability and importance.

For what it's worth I still don't believe that the guy is suitable to play the lone striker role and I believe that time will prove that to be the case, but when that happens can we please not have the fans in question coming on here and slating wenger for picking sanchez at centre forward ?
absolutely agree augie, the fact we mullered Chelsea with that line up was a one off,i think the way the chavs played the arsenal ladies would have beaten them, sanchez up front does not work,we got lucky Saturday,i bet Wednesday game against basel is more of what weve seen so far this season with sanchez huffing and puffing up front with little to show.the starting line up against the chavs was wrong,we got lucky, wenger isn't a genius and I expect more disappointment from this starting 11 than elation in the coming weeks, yes to smash the chavs was great and an awesome display but a lot of people here have short memorys
Augie - who's flip flopping? Some people do genuinely believe Sanchez would be a good striker. Some don't. All I've seen is the same people saying what they've always said. For what it's worth I don't think Sanchez is a natural lone striker but he can certainly do a job to some extent in there. Would he hit 20+ in the PL over a whole season in that role? I doubt it tbh as he isn't consistent at all.
markyp - what the fuck man? People being happy we finally smashed the chav is pissing you off? Get over it, mate. The win had nothing to do with the line up or luck. It had everything to do with the attitude. Every one of our players gave 100% for 90 minutes and showed how good this team could be if they could maintain that level of commitment and attitude. But of course they won't as Wenger's man-management skills are non-existent. We pull off a result like this every season. Last season it was Manure we blitzed.
No one is saying we are now a great team. But we were brilliant against the chav.
No offence lads, but I don't get you pair. If we'd lost you'd be on here (rightly) moaning. We won and you're still on here moaning.

I agree and I would add that he is the best centre half in the premier league WHEN he has another top defender alongside him. What makes a great centre half in my opinion is his pair. Kos didn't look that good always when he had bambi vagina hoofing around.

Don't get us ?? What's to get ? This was probably the first post I have ever made on here defending wenger, and I'm getting criticized for it All I was saying is that those that have praised wenker for playing sanchez through the middle, shouldn't come on here criticizing him in a few weeks over that same decision just cos others are saying it at the time. I never suggested that it was a lucky win and tbh I don't care if it was a lucky win cos I will take a win over the chavs any day regardless of how it comes
Methinks that this is another case of looking at the poster and assuming that it is a negative post

And Methinks that this is another case of you not reading my post. I never said you said anything about a lucky win - I clearly addressed that to markyp.
My point was that instead of just enjoying the fact we destroyed the chav, you were moaning about "flip floppers".
As my learned colleague postmanPat91 said; miserable cant.

Honestly , Kos is one of Wenger's best ever purchases. One of the rare times he went cheap and it worked out.

I was tempted to just put in numerous - But NO! No! No! No! That is just So Wrong In every Imaginable Way...Just..Just ..I Mean
- Sometimes not even an Emoticon can do it justice....Kos is a very Good CB - But Not Nor EVER will be in the same Echelons as MR Arsenal or Sol Campbell.....

Wenger deserves criticism - tactics, stubbornness, being too loyal, but his transfer dealings are right up there with the best.
He's had his duds, but every manager has.

I've always said my problem is not with his duds because as you say every manager has them but also you simply never know how a player will turn out until you play him. My problem is his persistence with some of those duds for years with pay rises and contract extensions and THAT was because of his ego.

Can't argue with that, he's been far too loyal on occasions.
But I'd argue what he's got rid of a lot of the dead wood now. Not many of the first team players don't deserve a place in our squad.
