As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Yeah this has been a real banana skin in recent times, haven't beaten them at the bowl since 2011 and even that was a lucky goal. If we've really turned a corner this should be relatively simple.
Is this stat true? that's fucking appalling for a so called big club....

yep, was the game after the 8-2. vorm rolled it out to arshavin for the tap in and he happily obliged.
funny thing is we can beat them up there place more times than not, down here and it's another kettle of fish. but they don't have ashley williams any more so lets have it
But! They DO have a new manager - and all that tends to go with what happens when a team get's a new manager - and wenger being the kind soul (read: Clueless dubfuck) he is - always sets his team up to help those teams struggling in the prem
gone are the days of us putting teams like Leeds to the sword 5- 0 and helping them to relegation...
Assuming Ramsey is back fit after the internationals as been reported.
Defence and goalie pick themselves.
3-0 to the home team.
What the actual fuck? RAMSEY???!!! Jaysus, mate. That would be a disaster. The last thing we need is a return to full time static, stagnant tippy tappy with Rambo pissing away possession with flicks and backheels and over elaborating on every single ball.
Yep you've got me sussed, I've been coming on here since May 2008, in the hope of finding out who our next opponents are and what time it kicks of.f
That's naturally The impression I got from your match thread header rage. Unless you're just petty for the sake of it
Pretty sure Stuart is having a laugh here and not genuinely annoyed ...
He's not. "Wish some people would curb their desire to create the next match thread and leave it to the professionals" he's obviously having a dig at my Basel thread cos the info I put in the header wasn't in an "easy to comprehend format" like Sean. Pathetic
Erm, tbh I thought he was having a lighthearted pop at REB whose last match thread header attempt was ubershit!
Also, let's not get oversensitive, ladies. To me you are all useless cúnts.
It was intended for Reb, who didn't bite ( it probably went over his head)
Sorry, for being pathetic cloaked gooner I didn't realise a post regarding someone else's thread would upset you so much.
Have a great day
I can understand why one might want Xhaka in the team, but other than that, its hard to make a case for Ramsey, Chamberlain and especially Giroud.
As for Swansea, I watched them against Liverpool, and Liverpool could have and should have won by more. Swansea are not a good team, they should be beaten comfortably. They have a new American manager, who has been appointed by Swansea's American owner, so perhaps some national nepotism is going on their. Either way, this is 3 points that needs to be banked.

Xhaka and Elneny ahead of Coq and Santi every day. Santi's best performance this season has been average, at his worst he's been awful. And Coq doesn't have the footballing intelligence of either Xhaka or Elneny.
But whether we like it or not the minute Ramsey is match fit (or even nearly match fit) Wenger will shoe-horn him into the side.

Nearly banned you then Stuart but you pulled it back with the last sentence

I like this new Flash. No fucking about - if in doubt, straight to the Banhammer.

I agree Xhaka has to start but im not convinced about Elneny. Id have Santi in the side too he's got something about him that could turn a game in an instant

When Santi is on form I'd agree deffo. But he hasn't looked great this season. Bits of quality here and there but mostly quite wasteful with the ball and he was terrible against the Whippet molesters of Burnleh... I like Elneny's steady approach. Takes the ball, gives it quickly and cleanly and moves into position to offer an option for the next pass. I'd like to see how Xhaka and Elneny would work given a good run of games together.
