Early days, but this could be the signing that really makes a difference. His positive confident defending, communicating and winning mentality have already given the team visible lift.

Wenger made expensive mistakes with both Chambers and Gabriel about 34Million pounds worth so I didn't expect us to sign Mustafi.
Considering what has gone on in the last 10 years it's so good to see this correction be made. Yes it's early days but he looks solid and has the quality a team like Arsenal need.
Just wish Koscielney was 25 years old.

Bear in mind the reason Wenger bought Mustafi was because Gabriel & Mertesacker got injured. It wasn't to correct any errors or because he's a good defender.

exactly...same as when Coquelin was brought back he readily claimed that as a masterstroke too....

Mustafi and Kos look solid even at this early stage...be better if Mustafi was a few inches taller...but from what is seen wins a lot of headers
Must have taken the pressure of Kos always having to watch out for some muppet alongside you

Mustafi is the new Vidic. Whilst LK is very similar to Rio.

Hands down the best centre half pairing since Kolo and Campbell. In fact, its the first time in over 10 years we have actually had a rock solid cent half pairing.

Early days yet, but they do look good. Let's see how they do against spurs, remember they have the midfield and attacking force of the England national team, so they are no joke.

Yep, just as soon as one position is sorted, in a year or two we will need to replace Kos, Monreal, and Cech.
