Lets be honest the country is still fucked and if trump is going to be looking to send "illegal immigrants" home i worry that we could see an influx of people returning to the island. We all know what that is going to mean for taxes and the likes

The Democrats would surely have swept home if they had put forward a straight guy who isn't perceived as an establishment figure. Somebody who would come across as a fresh beacon of sense against Trump.
They couldn't have found anybody with less personal popularity who is perceived more as part of the Washington elite if they tried. Not to mention that what she does have in her favour - a long career of high-ranking political office and global diplomacy - has been obliterated by her inexplicable behaviour regarding her personal email server.
If she wins it will be fairly marginally and solely on the basis that she is not Donald Trump.

I would not be surprised that if Trump wins he will be swiftly be replaced by another Republican within a few months before he can do some serious damage, probably Jeb Bush. Trump has insulted both George Bush Snr and Bill Clinton. Two very, very powerful and influential former Presidents. They won't let Trump get away with it for long.

I don't like Moore tbh. I used to find him entertaining and informative but then I discovered he has lied and bent the truth to suit his agenda throughout his career. Yeah. Not the only time either apparently. Of course we have to take some of the stuff written about him with a pinch of salt as he is a huge target for the right wing and the NRA in the States, but there are a lot of proven intentional half truths and skewed stats in his work...

I think Moore is well/intentioned, but his journalistic standards are lacking. It shouldn't be difficult to make Charlton Heston look like a crunt without massaging the facts.

He may well be, but his lack of journalistic integrity does not benefit the causes he tries to help. I'm a licensed firearms owner, I love shooting, I believe in the right to own a licensed firearm. However I don't believe every fucker should have that right and I firmly believe in strict gun control laws like we have here in Oireland. Moore's hatchet job of a "documentary" Bowling for Columbine should have helped the gun control cause because on first viewing it was astonishing, depressing and eye-opening, but instead it has only given the NRA a boost, because he basically lied through much of it, and then got found out.
As you say it shouldn't be difficult to make a fucktard like Heston look like a crunt, or indeed to make America's gun laws look ludicrously loose and dangerous, certainly no need to massage the facts, but this fucking idiot did it anyway!
In a related aside, Heston was the biggest flip-flopper in world history...

If Trump became President and was somehow removed then Mike Pence (at that stage Vice President) would become president.
