Ya-Ya Toure

Post by Rob Admin »

Ya-Ya Toure has said he has received interest from Premiership clubs that he would love to play alongside his brother.

Thought he was outstanding vs. United in the CL - very much of the Patrick Vieira mould.

Yes please!

Rob.

I know we had him on trial a few years ago. Any definite answer why we didn't sign him then?

We couldn't sign him before because he wasn't granted a work permit. ...no such problem now though...come on arsene, reel him in!

Sorry didn't realise that this had already been posted.

Didn't Toure Snr say that we should sign Ya-ya as he was far better than himself.

Would be an excellent addition to the squad.

I think he requested the move actually, he was too impatient to sit playing crap football for two years, can see his point though.

He'd be perfect alongside Cesc

Get him!! He is strong and such a big presence, that we might actually win a few balls in the air next season.

However, i'm not sure how long his brother will be there for. We need a centre back who is not troubled by teams just hoofing the ball up the pitch and willy and kolo are not that type of centre back. They are both class players, but together i don't think they are a title winning partnership.

I agree, so sell or demote Gallas. Kolo plus a tall centre back like Lucio or Cuellar would be a great centre back pairing.

Get rid of Gallas then!

I actually think that kolo has been off form since the african nations and although willy should not be captain, i think he is stronger and more commanding at the back.

I heard from a mate within the club at the time that the reason we didn't sign him when he was younger was that although he was the more talented of the two, he lacked the attitude and hunger of kolo, lazy was the description.

He has obviously improved in that area however not sure why he isn't wanted by the bloke at barca.
