It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.
I imagine what will happen is that PM Mayhem will invoke Article 50 sometime in the spring, cause utter chaos to the money markets, massive inflation, rising unemployment and within 2 years she will have to make sure that the UK does not leave the EU to give herself a chance of being re elected in 2020.
My view is this: in the long run the backlash against the government will be far greater if we do leave the EU than if we don't. yes there will be a few old whingers who will vote for UKIP but these will steadily die out over the next few years anyway.
That last sentence is one of the shittiest things ive read on this forum for a while You and Nut Ageist Gooner are doing nothing for your side of the arguement
Going by your pathetic David Attenborough analogy ..... I Wonder what Bruce Forsyth's opinion is?
I do feel the need to pull you up again Flash. I can't speak for anyone else but you say I have done nothing for the debate but when I specifically get into a dialogue with you, there is nothing that you can back your words up with. I am not going to waste my time trawling through what is becoming an epic thread to highlight my point but let's just start on a clean slate ehh, and see if you carry on in that vein.
It's ridiculous to bring the Queen into the Brexit debate, the monarchy has had no influence on policy decisions for decades even centuries. She may be head of state, but she does not decide our Brexit strategy, perhaps we should be focusing on that and how we don't make a pigs ear out of it.
I am sorry, but what in the name of Christ's left testicle are you on about?
Flash didn't mention the Queen in relation to Brexit. I lightheartedly countered olgit's point about unelected officials controlling the EU with my point about your democracy entertaining an unelected woman with the power to dissolve your democratically elected government.

OK fair enough, I can't speak for christ but my left testicle has always been bigger than my right! That's what happens when you lie low for a few days.

Poor old Spuddy has that issue - with his middle testicle.
So the die is cast :_
Three senior judges ruled the Prime Minister does not have power to use the prerogative to trigger Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty to start the UK’s exit from the European Union – without the prior authority of Parliament.
If she wants to trigger it the chances are that the vote will go against and the only alternatives will be civil unrest or another referendum in the guise of an election.
Risky business !
Whilst the remain camp will vote for a split on whichever mainstream party they support we might well find that the leavers will vote purely on one issue and UKIP and the extreme parties might well hold the balance of power.
George Osbourne and the remain camp underestimated the populous once and the chances are they will again.
Prepare for this thread to descend into mud slinging akin to the American election.
Putin must be laughing his socks off.
Theresa May will have known how this decision was going to go all along.
She could therefore stand there for the past few months saying Brexit means Brexit and article 50 will be triggered by the end of March knowing that the decision would be taken out of her hands.

Which goes to prove that the financial sector money making market has been manipulating all along.
Money Markets react positively to good news shocker
I just checked the pound is $1.24, when the vote results where published it was $1.33. This time last year it was around $1.50. All relative really.
The good thing about today's judgement is the decision making as to how we exit the EU is now in the hands of the people we elected to serve on our behalf. I salute Gina Miller for what she has achieved.
This is a legal judgement made in a British Court by a British Judge. Just saying.

For the first time in a long while you might be right.

If what you say is correct, that makes TM a very good poker player. Amazing bluff.

Not really. She would have had "her people" look into every nook and cranny of the legislation and laws etc and been advised early on this was going to happen. All politicians are lying corrupt self-promoting nest-feathering scum - the more successful ones are the the ones that are cunning and devious enough to always make sure the shit never lands fully on their desk.
