Re: Scum (H) 6th November 12:00
The atmosphere was Ok ish yesterday but u have to remember it was a 12 am kick off so only us alchoholics were wrapped round a pint at 0945 !
But frankly I couldnt take more than 2 pints as the nerves always kick in so was in my seat , I was stunned to see so many walk out as much as the game just dying after 88 mins !
dont like football at this time of day !

Not sure if it was Police or BT that requested that time
Yes agreed we never seem to play well with these early kick offs either
Just have to wait to beat them at the swamp now

Absolutely laughable for the media to bill this as some full-bloodied derby. Just like the hype Liverpool v Man United gets, it never lives up to it anymore.
Walcott squaring up to Vertongen (dont give a fuck how you spell it) was cringe worthy. A bit like when a politician tries to be a man of the people by being seen holding a pint![]()
Modern football has ruined derby days as much as its ruined so much else. Its all very well fans keeping up the hatred on message boards and in the pubs but its not reflected on the pitch or in the stands. The atmosphere sounded like it could have been any game.
Too many foreign players in all teams and in every league doesnt help derby days either. Thats not being xenophobic it just stands to reason that without some local lads in a derby game, it will not have that extra edge.
Why do we have 2 Spanish full backs FFS? Or that prancing ponce Giroud up front?
Asking the youth system to produce a Bergkamp or Ozil ... or another Liam Brady ... is asking too much. But Its a bad reflection on the way football is run that a club like Arsenal plus Spurs, Chelsea and West Ham, all big clubs in a big city like London, do not have a core of Londoners in their teams for the more basic positions.
Surely clubs can produce their own players to play in positions like full back or as a defensive midfielder? If they did .. and if this was reflected in other cities around the world ... then derby days and football in general would be much better than this sanitised, watered down crap we are served up on a regular basis.
Why do they fucking go seriously???? just to phone Justin and Tarquin they are at a Footie match ??? to eat the pies and Cola???
Those empty seats so embarrassing....10 mins to go and theres thousands leaving???
Thought that myself. What the fuck is that all about. A night game/work next day to beat the crowds I can understand but a Sunday afternoon, 1-1, NLD and they are walking out.
If you're gonna do that then what's the point in paying 70 odd quid in the first place.
Don't understand it at all but are we surprised
it is bizarre.
The match finished before 2pm!!!
do you see people leaving before the end of a film? NO before the end of a play? NO
Its one reason why I find it hard to stomach going to the Emirates anymore.
last time i went i spent the first FIFTEEN minutes of the match arguing with people who were still arriving.![]()
there is NO EXCUSE for anyone to be late for a game unless there is exceptional travel problems (and it that case the game would usually be delayed anyway) It wont happen but I think if people cant make it for kick off they shouldnt be allowed in until half time.
All those Emirates virgins and bladdy foreigners had to get to the club shop and take more selfies outside the ground before the final whistle. Saddo's

The thing that I noticed about us yesterday was in the second half when we lost our tempo and stopped pressing the scum, we had no leader on the pitch no one to bollock the team and push us forward. We have a captain but no leader.

Spuds are not a good team, i'm not even convinced Pochittino is that good a manager but he does flumox AW just about every game. It comes down to having players who listen and can implement what their manager says.
It's not just Spuds either how many times do we see teams who are no where near as good at us in individual technique and quality still manage to smother us and stop us playing, they might not beat us but they do manage to shut us down for most of these games.
Wenger has no plan B ever, i'm not even sure he starts out with a plan A

Wilson wrote:Well, I tried to warn you all about Spurs being a resilient team. They have conceded only 6 goals, and havent lost in the league this year. Although most of you reacted irrationally and assumed I was some sort of closet Spurs lover. When no, Im simply a realist who recognizes a good team when I see one.
Don't agree with either of you. That scum team is bang average. The difference (and the problem) was us, not them. We were lazy, uninspired, poor technically and had too many players off the boil. If we had a manager that could do man-management and in-game tactical management we could have and would have won. If we had played as we did against the chav we would have put that scum team to bed 5-0 no problem at all. As others have said they have drawn 6 of their 11 league games and have scored just 15 goals. It wasn't their "resilience", it was our ineptitude that cost us the win.markyp wrote:you lot really need to calm your tits, really cant believe the over reaction and the slating of every player, this is an unbeaten spurs team, not a steaming pile of shit like weve seen most years, you can see from yesterday why they are unbeaten,as for iwobi yes he was shocking, the OX was awful but hes had a good start to the season, one bad half hour and everybody wants to string him up,i thought the subs yesterday made us look very disjointed and stopped what little flow we had had to that point,i hate wenger but credit him for trying to win the match at least.gutted to have dropped 2 points but we are in the mix, lets hope we can right this against man ure

Also, they had a bit of luck too. On another day some key decisions might have gone against them. In the build up to the penno there was a clear foul on our player. We also should have had a penno for shirt pulling - a penno that would have been given in the first 3 weeks of the league. And how was Wanyama still on the pitch when he should have been off with two yellows with the amount of fouls and elbows he was throwing around. Just to clarify too, our goal was onside, given the rules as they currently stand - Webb cleared that up on BTsport.
Only slight positive for me was to see our players stand up for each other when Theo had his handbags at dawn moment with the scum players. A few years ago we'd have seen the likes of LegoHead Denilson and Alex Mong standing around smiling whilst a team mate was surrounded by oppo players...

Totally agree - TA6 was and always will be the best captain we have ever had, but PV4 was also an exceptional captain and it is he that we have never replaced

yeah me too.
The scumflith were there for the taking had we bothered turning up - But hey, don't let the prospect of widening the points gap between us and our bitterest rivals get in the way of all those 5-a-side tippy tappy sessions at Clney.
Wenger is now the prems version of Trump.
