Up next. No doubt we'll play the pubbers and go out with a limp-dick defeat to snub this trophy yet again and cap off yet another crap November

Happy St Andrew's Day! :barscarf:

They will play a much stronger team than us but will also make a few changes. Our team will be interesting as we have plenty of squad players injured.

Mind you we have the home advantage and 2 hours extra rest over the Saints

This season's final will be the 30th anniversary of Charlie's double and taking out Rushie's record for the Mickeys. My first ever trip to Wembley to watch the Gooners, and still one of the standout days in my Gooner memory

Of course, magical nights in Udine and knocking out the likes of Besiktas in the Be All and End All play off match mean I no longer need to wish for a return to those trophy winning days in the late 80s as we all know "top players do not ask did you win the League Cup....they ask do you play in the Champions League" and thankfully we kept all our top players through those mighty qualifying years otherwise where would we be now eh?

I'm breaking my long not going run and paid out the princely sum of £10 which feels a bit dirty but it'll be the only game I give a shit about until either the semi-final or the 3rd round of the FA Cup and gives me the chance to take my lad along without the guilt of sticking £100 in the direction of Wiggy.

For the name of Rocky (and Ian Allinson :D ), get this fucking thing won Wenger

Finally a game to look forward to. Also breaking my duck for this. Wenker will probably treat it with contempt as usual but for now fuck it I'm going to dream.

COYG let's take another step towards a Wembley final.

well they have fast and confident full-backs, two strong target men up front in long & austin, and oriel romeu who is what ramsey should be...

but we have sanchez, and i fucking hope wenger picks him and give this competition some respect for once instead of chasing the impossible champions league dream.

if we get to the semi i will be fucking chuffed, would love us to win this cup :barscarf:

No way Wegner picks any of Kos,Mustafi,Ozil or Sanchez for this one.Ramsey will skipper the side probably or Gibbs

Have to say just watched Soton and looks like they have another good young talent on their books Josh Sims.....they have saved and made a fortune producing first team players from their academy.Great scouting system praise where due.

Nothing matches our 24/7 scouting system...The one that gave us Gervinho, Denilson etc...

I'm expecting a lot of changes and a line-up similar to the following:

Ospina

Jenkinson Holding Gabriel Gibbs

Elneny Coquelin

Ox Ramsey Iwobi

Giroud

With that defence, what could possibly go wrong?

They have a young and talented squad and their manager does that thing called 'Tactics'.....so as someone said What could possibly go wrong???

It would be good to change the groundhog pattern so early in the season and actually win this.... :? Or am I asking too much?.

Ah yes, was forgetting Martinez is our league cup keeper.

Having been born in September, my daughter is too young to take to games but we've not lost a game her whole life! Yet.

Late congratulations to you! My girls are way older, but my self imposed ban meant we didnt go for a good few years,it was only after they kept asking I finally relented, they love the club and I dont want that to change.....so my ban is lifted!
