Re: Elneny / Denilson
He runs further than any other player, is usually available to receive a pass and can pass forward well. He'd be in ahead of Ramsey and Coquelin in my team but AW does seems to be coaching his early good form out of him.
Re: Elneny / Denilson
With Lord Wenger in charge Ronaldo,Messi,Muller and Iniesta would be behind Ramsey.Nos89 wrote:I think he's okay but simply not used enough. Don't forget he was bought in at a time we had 5 midfielders out injured and was always gonna 6th in line for the midfield two position. I'm not sure if Xhaka is ahead of Elneny. He's a good player better than denilson but remains behind Coquelin, ramsey and santi.

Re: Elneny / Denilson
I was particularly watching Elneny v Bournemouth.
His first three contributions were this......
1. short pass to nearest player
2. give away a needless foul
3. get robbed in possession
Other than this, he played the short pass to the nearest player (within two seconds) apart from two long balls. One of which was good. He also had two shots on goal. One of these was a decent effort which went over the bar. The other one would have gone straight to the goalie if a defender hadn't blocked it from a distance of three feet.
The bloke is like the proverbial headless chicken. Fucking useless.
Wenger will, doubtless, keep playing him. Same as he did with Eboue

Elneny puts a shift in and tracks back . Ive yet to see him skipping after players 15 yards or more behind. Hes a fetch n carry sort of body not a creative player. theres room in the squad for him .

The AFC version of deschamps - cuntona labelled deschamps as a mule (water carrier) back when they were players, and he didn't say it in a complimentary way either

Re: Elneny / Denilson
Yea how shit he was winning only a world cup and a euro nations .......as captain...........without Eric ..............who caused problems and was dropped !The AFC version of deschamps - cuntona labelled deschamps as a mule (water carrier) back when they were players, and he didn't say it in a complimentary way either
All winning teams need such players Denmark had Faxe Jensen when their day in the sun came !
PS I spent New Years eve in the Dover st Wine Bar once and Deschamps / Desaii/ Grimaldi were there 2 tables away . They mixed easily with other guests and even had a chat with them ,very nice people !

Re: Elneny / Denilson
Denilson, was certainly one of the worse players in my 40+ years of watching Arsenal. That said we had some pretty poor ones in the 80's as well...............DB10GOONER wrote:As for Elneny, I too am starting to see a definite Legohead Denilson similarity.... Like Legohead he looked sharp and intelligent with the ball at the beginning, but then just "progressed" onto 5 yard nothing passes and not taking responsibility for anything.
I might have mentioned this on here one or two hundred times in the pastbut my overiding memory of LegoHead is that stupid fucking grin on his face as he slowly jogged back after being overtaken by fat Rooney (who had started 20 yards behind him), and then to add insult to injury, the the fucking ref went flying past him too!

Herd I'm not disagreeing with you re deschamps (although I do prefer a more physically commanding DM), but I don't think that elneny is good enough tbh

I think he is a good squad player and could be part of a succsessful team, where everyone knew their place and what was expected of them .
This is one of our problems ,we have a design for life that is applied without regard to whom we face.
We dont want to talk love we only want to get drunk !
And he is not allowed to spend as we get told that this is the end !
A design for a life ~!
