That fucking line-up was a piss-take, especially at the stage we are at. The Old Fraud's hate for this competition knows no bounds. It's clear he only started to take it seriously when the trophy drought was on. Now it's back to reserves and pubbers. I think a lot of us on here realize that and don't bother with these games as a result, seeing as the manager and the club fail to bother with it either. It's such a shame.

Nice to finally see Perez again; although I believe the 'Curse of the Number Nine' continues, seeing as he is only been taken out of cold storage for games that TOF clearly doesn't give a fuck about.

I bet TOF celebrated their goal. Out defence is shit, no matter what the level of player involved. Once the half settled down we started to dominate the play, but it consisted of our typical useless passing drills with no penetration, never troubling Forster who is an excellent keeper as it is.

It was so tiresome seeing us fuck up attack after attack, shitting ourselves on the edge of their box, as we have done for years. We occasionally played a few desperate though balls that were crap, as we never play that way. I'd rather watch route one shit than this turgid, fucking awful sideways shit. I curse the day that TOF decided to impose this shit on us.

Their second goal killed it. Unlike us, they know how to defend and how to attack. They also have a vastly superior academy, unlike our pubber academy of poached players which some people toss off over. It was damning that their lot were singing about going to Wembley before half-time. Unthinkable when we were a good side. I'm glad the team got the boos at half-time. Fucking gutless.

Second half started with a bit of zip. We briefly started to know where their goal was, which was a nice change, but we looked at risk of conceding yet again, with a deflection stopping us going three down. Nice to see Xhaka. It also went to show how lightly TOF takes this game, seeing as he brought on all his subs before 70 minutes. Shocking!

It wouldn't be Arsenal without our defenders being caught on the break, two on two. Only dumb luck saved us from being further humiliated. They got so many chances in the end, we were lucky to not be six or seven down. Fucking scandalous.

Weak boos at full-time said it all.

It's so galling to think there's a 95% chance of TOF signing another extension in 182 days and continuing this soul-destroying holding pattern of failure he has our club stuck in. That miserable old bastard will never walk away.

you're spot on mate, this is, for some people the only matches they can afford to attend. and he takes the piss with that line-up.

NOT that that is the reason we lost, but it's a serious arrogance and lack of motivation in general and it is his fault. when you give the message that this trophy is not important then that is what you get. fair play to soton, they gave it the respect it deserved and win no doubt give it their all in the semi while we "fight like beavers" for fourth and other lovely bonus for daddy arsene
