For me Shearer's a bigger crunt than jug ears, i'd love to know exactly why Sanchez has to win the league with Arsenal to be considered world class :?

yes absolutely ridiculous statement from Shearer....think he's just desperately trying to defend his earlier comments...

Wilson wrote:Xhaka next to Couqelin is a good partnership. Wenger needs to realise, a tackle in midfield can lead to a goal, just as much as a great pass. Coquelin's tackle led to the opening goal. You step out and win the ball in midfield, and feed it to Ozil or Sanchez, and stuff will happen. The whole point of a deep lying play maker it to bypass the midfield and get the attackers goal side of their opposite midfielder and running at the defenders. Same thing happens with Coquelin or Xhaka disposes their opposite number - they just tap it forward and Ozil and Sanchez are running at the opposition defence. Plus you get the added benefits of defensive stability.

Cazorla's injury is a blow, but he Xhaka-Coquelin partnership can be very productive.

The risk is however, that Wenger might play Ramsey, who has no defensive ability, nor Cazorla's passing range, thus his role in midfield is anyone guess.

Wenger seems to have avoided rushing Giroud back into the team and shifting Sanchez outwide. Is he learning?? Now all he needs to do is stop playing Ramsey outwide or in midfield and results like this can be more common. As for Ramsey's role in the team, I honestly think he doesn't have one. I would use him as a second striker, but when chasing a game, or looking to add variety, Its Giroud who comes on. I just dont see Ramsey as anything other than an sqaud player.

Id bring Wilshere back from loan, and sell Ramsey. See if City will offer us 40m for him.

Agree with above....the quick passing forward movement, was a pleasure to watch
How many times have we seen Ramsey calling for the ball only to pass it back to sender....allowing opposition defence to form in lines
No real evidence of the Tippy Tappy play that has haunted us for years

As for Coquelin and Xaha yes agreed they were winning tackles in the middle to start of the attacking play, something we have also been missing

Recent games we have been dominated in the middle of the park

Never really took much notice of Shearer...
Took a good penalty but very overrated, still that's the best the North East had to offer...
Did this know all know fuck all manage his beloved Newcie ?
Did he not fail ?did they not get relegated ?
Can't remember, tbh like I said...
Never really took much notice of Shearer...
And I'm fucked if I am going to start taking notice on what he defines as World Class...
In my very humble opinion, you have to be World Class to recognise World Class, and you have to be humble, not an arrogant twat who got his arse kicked out of football, keep pulling them pints at your social club ME SON....

We were playing with 10 men up until he came on. I don't count Feo as a player. Don't keep playing him. Use a kid who will have a go for two bob.
Nice 3 points though. Sanchez magic !!. :barscarf: :barscarf:

For a long time yesterday it was hard to know there was an actual game on ,BT commentators spent most of their time talking about Andy Carroll sitting on the bench/warming up/not warming up /coming on ,it was nauseating.

At one point I thought I'd accidentally activated Andy Carroll cam.

Another plus Xaha brings is his range of passing.....he has vision and can weight a pass perfectly....something Elneny has not as yet shown

what a mental day yesterday. have to say that the stadium is a fucking shambles! the atmosphere does not travel well at all, i was on the end of the away end near the segregation with the west ham fans on the right side of the tv screen and honestly everything sounds so far away. didn't help that the mouthier segments of the wham support are over the other side and you can only hear a distant echo. the uppier tier feels so far away as well, i felt sorry for the travelling gooners up there because you're miles away from everything. the huge gap between the concourse and the lower tier seating area is so weird, honestly you have to walk a good 70 yards and get past this huge covered area to the seats. i can't think of any good metaphor to further explain this, it's like being inside an indoor cycling velodrome or something- not that i've ever been to one :?

the stadium is like being at a music concert or something, there's this hollow echo and you never stop noticing it, the acoustics are shite and i have to say it doesn't feel like a football ground at all. funny thing is the stewarding their has gone from minimal to over-zealous, a couple of lads near me were told off for giving a bit of stick the whammers after the fourth goal and lads stood on seats you getting told to get down when in most premier league grounds no-one would even notice or batter an eyelid.

as for the facilities outside, a ten minute walk to westfield, twenty minute walk to stratford high street (that's with no pedestrian traffic, otherwise add another twenty minutes) and you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere a bit, which is a surreal feeling when you've got this superb view of canary wharf and the shard down the road. anyone travelling here in future should probably plan their day ahead instead of doing what i did and walk about for ages without knowing where to go :)

what a match though, everything else has been covered so all i have to say is UTA :barscarf:

Yes, he's made the wrong decisions at times but, credit where it's due, him and Sanchez are ripping West Ham apart. At least Ox is getting involved and making things happen... Theo on the other hand is invisible

Really should be more than 1-0 up though. Should be out of sight :o
Delighted with that win and performance.

Sanchez was sublime but the Ox played the best I've seen him in ages and Coquelin had a stormer! 8)

Agree 100% with that - clearly sanchez was different gravy last night, but in any other game ox would have been motm with his performance in this game 8) He brings a directness and pace to our game that fcuk all players do, and he should be given a decent run in the starting 11 now to allow him to build on it :barscarf:
