THE WENGER THREAD
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
'Wenger keeps Arsenal guessing' is the headline on the BBC.
Why do we subject ourselves to this? Why do we allow Wenger to prance around as if he is wanted, and would be going us a favour by signing on.
Klopp, Pep, Ancelotti, Conte have all moved in recent years. Whilst we watched on because 'we have Wenger'. You mean to tell me if their is a chance to sign Simeone we dont take it up because we are 'waiting' on Arsene?
Sanchez and Ozil dont want to sign up for this sh.. So why would the club sign on for it?
Wenger is turning into a villain like Adebayor and Cole.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Here's a great idea, would never be implemented, but this is the route the club should take.
When Wenger says he will see where we are in April, instead of saying OK, ask him where he wants to be, what his goal is, his target. If he says CL qualification the fans can rise up as one right now and tell him now that that is unacceptable. Don't allow him this "we'll see where we are" crap.... DEMAND to know now what his target is and if it is only CL qualification tell him NOW that is not good enough. MAKE him set a higher target, then HOLD him to it. If he fails he's out.
Of course the club would never give him that kind of ultimatum and even if they did, Wenger would take offense and refuse to commit.
What a wonderful life huh? It's absolutely sickening.....I can see us fighting tooth & nail for 4th, just squeezing it and Wenger announcing he's "satisfied". The fans, caught up in the excitement of the qualification battle will be overjoyed, the reset button will be pushed and focus will turn to the transfer market

"You do not go in the season and have no disappointment. We have just lost two games.
"It doesn't mean they are not ready to change their mind if we win the next game."
Firstly it is NOT just losing 2 games...lets get it straight they where dominated and panic ridden and a complete shambles...proving that they have no chance of a title, all the old issues are still there nothing resolved, nothing learnt!!
As for his second statement that is exactly what he is relying on, the fickleness of the football supporter

"Excessive reactions".... as in "I am immune to excessive reactions" ...What is this man on about now? Are football fans suppose to sit and silently accept whatever he decides to throw at them..? Well I suppose many in the Bowl with no Soul do...

Just saw the clown claim that we put in two good performances at Everton and Man City.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Yeah I think that's exactly how he sees the role of the fans. That we leave the job to the experts and don't do unhelpful things like spreading negativity.Bradywasking wrote:"Excessive reactions".... as in "I am immune to excessive reactions" ...What is this man on about now? Remember him telling the fan he saw in the toilets at Chelsea that he ''wasn't a real fan'' because he didnt believe Arsenal were good enough to win the title. That fan was right of course but Wenger just ignores reality and appears to expect unquestioning loyalty.
And thats why things never improve. They can't when the standards are that low and the delusion that high.northbank123 wrote:Just saw the clown claim that we put in two good performances at Everton and Man City.

But sadly the average football supporter, and in particular celebrity fans like Piers Morgan, lets us down by behaving exactly like that. I'll never forgive that odious turdbag after he'd slammed TO1AW for years, changing his mind when we were top in early 2014 before the thrashings by Liverpool and Chavski. He actually tweeted that Wenger had proved him wrong. He only needs to make 1 top grade signing every 5 years and briefly flirt with the top of the table to gain forgiveness in the eyes of many a fickle c.untRedarmy wrote:"You do not go in the season and have no disappointment. I've consigned myself to waiting out TOF's exit whenever he chooses or mortality reins him in. There are just too many shit teams in the league to toss him that proverbial get out of jail card. Immediately after, all again becomes rosy in wenker garden, and his legions of krunt following pipe up.
It's long grown quite tedious and too taxing a task actively calling for the charlatan to go. Only natural for one to tire swimming against the tide for however long. Apathy is the best way forward till he fucks off.

Piers Morgan what a shit he is......how did he become some sort of spokesman for Arsenal fans FFSSteveO 35 wrote:But sadly the average football supporter, and in particular celebrity fans like Piers Morgan, lets us down by behaving exactly like that. Le Ringpiece out

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Pulis just said we have a strong squad than Chelsea, and he is right. We have more depth, and a better centre half pairing. No fing way is Cahill and Luiz a better pairing than LK and Mustafi, yet under Conte, Chelsea are organized.
All the rumours in the papers, is about Ozil, Sanchez and now even Wilshere leaving. Wenger is just alight weight who cannot control a thing.

Most teams who win the league lose at most 5 or so games. Leicester only lost two and the season before, Chelsea lost three. So losing 2 games back to back is a big deal.Redarmy wrote:"You do not go in the season and have no disappointment. We have just lost two games.

He just doesnt understand what it takes to win the league. He seems to think set backs like this can be overcome - losing back to back games and losing sight of Chelsea to the tune of 9 points is apparently no big deal.
Arsene needs to realise other managers are not as weak willed as he, and they will not allow standards to slip to give other teams a chance. Just because we fuk up and allow other teams to pass us, doesn't mean thy will return the favour later down the road.
He likes to portray himself as calm, whilst the rest of us panic and lose our shit. However, the reality is, Arsene is the guy on the titanic who never thought it was going to sink. He laughs at everyone around him for hurrying to a lifeboat, no doubt thinking they are overreacting, whilst he sits and reads the paper drinking a latte.
We fans are not in a panic, we simply realise the urgency and dim situation two back to back defeat has on our season. its actually Arsene who is the naive one, for failing to recognize the boat is filling with water.

No, we look at it differently to him. He doesn't start the season intending an all out assault on the trophies on offer, he just muddles along never really believing we'll win it. Falling down to 4th is really not a big deal to him....falling below 4th is a HUGE deal. He has completely different priorities to us, he just doesn't come right out & say it. Cl qualification to him is justification to sign a new deal. He honestly believes if we don't appreciate that, we are ingrates, not worthy of his time.Wilson wrote:Most teams who win the league lose at most 5 or so games.
