Not only is he a devious, treacherous cun.t - But he actually believes what he is saying - he needs a whoops upside the head to bring him into the real world.Redarmy wrote:Wenger talking about City and Everton defeats, says he felt desperate after, as usual all about him, the one getting 9MILLION a year to sort it out...what about the travelling fans FFS??
"We lost under very special circumstances as well, you know. It's the first time in 20 years that I lose a game with two offside goals of that stature. On top of that we were 1-0 up in both games, we had the chances to score the second goal and third goal.
Against City second half did not have one attempt on goal...fuck knows how he analyses games...what a wanker
Comments above are totally ridiculous from anyone watching the games....they were a shambles, panic ridden all over the fucking place, absolutely disgraceful performances.
Same issues year after year, and the wanker is still here haunting our club

It's nice to see the return of the "special circumstances" bullshit - I hadn't heard it for a while and kinda missed it
Also nice to see him mentioning (again) about his 20 year reign as if to point out that this is his kingdom

Still nothing on the Ozil and Sanchez front, and now Chamberlain, Wilshere and Ramsey have been added to the transfer speculation. Although the later three are not truly important, its just tiresome reading of players leaving, as it shows a complete lack of control.
Another depressing aspect is when I hear 'sell Ozil and keep Sanchez'. Really? Are we really that glass half empty, that we feel we cant have both? I got an idea...................how about we aim to keep them both?
Wenger signing a contract would be bad enough, but if he dares signs one before Ozil AND Sanchez, then I wonder how does this man look in the mirror?

I gotta be honest I usually agree with about 10% of the stuff you post on hereWilson wrote:Still nothing on the Ozil and Sanchez front, and now Chamberlain, Wilshere and Ramsey have been added to the transfer speculation. I agree too but I wish we would go further and drum it into players that it is a privilege to play for The Arsenal and make them aware that the standards are high.DB10GOONER wrote:I gotta be honest I usually agree with about 10% of the stuff you post on hereWilson wrote:Still nothing on the Ozil and Sanchez front, and now Chamberlain, Wilshere and Ramsey have been added to the transfer speculation. Wenger signing a contract would be bad enough, but if he dares signs one before Ozil AND Sanchez, then I wonder how does this man look in the mirror?but the bit in red says it all for me 100% man. We are The Arsenal. We should be buying in some top players to build a team around two of the best players in the PL. What the fuck happened to ambition? What became of intent, appetite, desire?
However, quite soon after the move to the Emirates it was apparent that those running the club had allowed Arsenal to become a stepping-stone for players. And although this might not be the case quite as much now, it still feels like some players act as if they are doing us a favour by being at our club.
It mainly comes from the manager of course. He is someone who too often has put the interests of individual players ahead of the club ... and he also gives the impression that he believes he is working at a club a level below one he could have been at.
Far too many fans fall for this defeatist mindset and are then too grateful for what they have been tricked into believing is achievement . It makes a great club look weak and it sickens me.

Imagine a few years back if we were like "Lets keep Henry and sell Bergkamp?"DB10GOONER wrote:I gotta be honest I usually agree with about 10% of the stuff you post on hereWilson wrote:Still nothing on the Ozil and Sanchez front, and now Chamberlain, Wilshere and Ramsey have been added to the transfer speculation. Yeah we are ARSENAL ffs,try to keep both Ozil AND Sanchez and add to them 2,then we might get some credibility and actually add more decent players to the squad, both Ozil and Sanchez might think the clubs intentions are good, but then again I support a business model now not a football club.

If clueless had had his way that's what would have happened, it is well known he tried to get shot of Bergkamp by sneaky means.robbo10 wrote:Imagine a few years back if we were like "Lets keep Henry and sell Bergkamp?"DB10GOONER wrote:I gotta be honest I usually agree with about 10% of the stuff you post on hereWilson wrote:Still nothing on the Ozil and Sanchez front, and now Chamberlain, Wilshere and Ramsey have been added to the transfer speculation. Re: THE WENGER THREAD
And since Iwobi had a good game, some defeatists are putting on the bravest face of all, saying Ozil leaving wouldnt be the worst hing in the world, because we have a good replacement, you know, because Iwobi had a good game at home to Palace, and scored a headed goal.
I like Iwobi, and he belongs at Arsenal. But the idea of him replacing Ozil is parallel with replacing Henry with Adebayor, Cesc with Arteta, RVP with Podolski, Denilson with Gilberto.
What is it about the defeatist attitude that so many of our fans posses? They try to rationalize everything, now matter how dim. It reminds of the quote, where Wenger said losing players isnt all bad, because it creates 'opportunity' to play a young player. Why cant they at least admit, that losing players is a blow and sets us back years?
There is a fine line between optimism and delusion, and Wenger, and his lap dog fans are on the very wrong side of that line.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
The pundits say things like Arsenal will survive losing Henry, Cesc, Sanchez, Ozil, Vieira, you name it.......that old cliche in saying 'no one is bigger than the club'.
Yet the moment you suggest Wenger leave, they have a collective shit fit and talk about the forthcoming apocalypse.
'Be careful what you wish for'
'Look at Man United and David Moyes'
'The grass isnt always greener'
'Who else could do a better job than Wenger' (ive always wondered, is this supposed to be rhetorical, because If someone asked me this, I could really go on and on)
'Champions league group stages 15 years in a row'
Has anyone seen the scene in the 'Truman Show' with Jim Carrey? He wants to get out of his bubble life, but those who want to keep him in it, try to scare him from leaving. Such as when he goes to the travel agent, they try to scare him with posters of plane crashes, and diseases in foreign countries. Well its the same concept with us fans - the moment we try to break out of this repetitive failure with Wenger, the pundits rush to scare us into line. They talk about finishing mid table, and how no other managers could get us in the top 4 on ' Arsenal's budget'. They scream David Moyes, and tell us to 'look at Man United'.
Sometimes I think there is something sinister going on. We know the press is treated well at Arsenal. I believe we are the only club to puts on a buffet outside the press room. I also wonder if these very friendly journalist are given stuff...such as access, and perhaps tangible goods like match day tickets ect. As I dont understand their reasoning for being so aggressive to defend Wenger against obvious failure. Its like they are protecting Wenger and the regime, to ensure they continue to get their royal treatment.

Yes. Absolutely. Why is he the only manager that gets treated like this? It's about access to the club and what he does for the press. He gives them an easy time and they love that. They know that another manager would probably stop all that and make the club and training ground a more closed shop with a colder atmosphere. Actually probably like every other decent club. On top of that, the press all love Manure and the Bin-dippers and fawn over this cult of Pep. They know that a better manager would probably make us more successful and better than those other clubs. All the time Wanker remains at Arsenal, it's a win-win for the media.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
The media essentially views things from the perspective that we aren't a big club, or at least in comparison to our rivals. It was noticeable how the media freaked out at the idea that we should protest against Wenger last season. There was talk of fans being spoiled, or ungrateful. Contrast that with the protests against Moyes at Man United. This was one season into a new manager, when the previous manager had provided untold success, yet those fans weren't seen as ungrateful, or spoiled. If city don't look like winning the league next season, then the media will want Pep gone. Yet Wenger can go 13 years without a title, and provide numerous embarrasments over the last decade, yet the media are ok with hjm having a job for life.Wilson wrote:The pundits say things like Arsenal will survive losing Henry, Cesc, Sanchez, Ozil, Vieira, you name it.......that old cliche in saying 'no one is bigger than the club'.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Its sickening mate.In my opinion there are only 2clubs that I would consider as big or bigger than us in the country. But because we have a wanky owner and a dildo as manager we are expected as you say to put up with shite.Citeh and chavs are nowhere near as big as us but because they have owners who splash the cash their smaller fanbases should, according to the cocks in the media have higher expectations than ours.BFG4 wrote:The media essentially views things from the perspective that we aren't a big club, or at least in comparison to our rivals.
