As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Anyway, lets relive some of Wenger's shittest signings. I'll see your Cohen Bramall and I'll raise you an Amaury Bischoff.
I was trying to think of the he young guy we snapped up from Gillingham for £500,000 after he became their youngest ever scorer at 15 ? 16 ? But without googling it, I can't remember, that's how much of an impact he had here.
Could also throw in Harvaad Nordtveit, who cost us £2m and has scored an o.g for City tonight v the not so happy hammers.
That was Luke Freeman
Can't remember a single thing about his career though. Another visionary purchase by Wenger. He's probably working on the bins now and playing part time for Maidstone United.
I'll see your Luke Freeman and raise you a Mark Randall.

Freeman now playing at Bristol City........Good old Google.
You are disqualified as Randall was a scholar, not signed from another club .
What happened to Eisfeld? Ryo? Toral? And my personal favorite Park Chu Young!
TBH I don't have a problem with these kind of signings, as long as the club/Wenger keep them quiet. There's no need to make a big song and dance about it when 95% of them aren't going to make the first team and are just useful for making some petty cash in three years time.

If this fella turns out to be good, there will be a lot of shit on these Moaning Minnie faces, honestly a forum of bitches on heat is all I can say!.....

Ooooooooh - I seem to remember Randall being snaffled from the academy of a lower league club with Wenger banging on about how he was going to feature in our midfield for years to come. Typical Wenger bullshit !! And a quick check (good old Google again) says that we did indeed snaffle young Master Randall from Northampton Town.
So I'll raise Mark Randall with a cheeky Jermaine Pennant.
A club will always trawl for home grown talent and yes their have been a lot of prospects that have moved on, but if you do not invest you will never know.
My biggest gripe is on the shit that has passed through our doors as big money transfers and have failed to live up to expectations, and as for the money grabbing post Henry BIG SIGNINGS...
Hleb
Gallas
Silvestre
To name a few
Add a few Judas'
Adebayor
Fabregas
Cliche
Sagna
Flamini
I am sure you can add a few more, but this reflects the clubs bad decisions, but as for home grown, I would give them the benefit of the doubt and I personally wish them well in their dream to represent Arsenal FC, and should they fail they will always have the experience of a top professional club behind them.

Not having that - those 3 players served us well and moved on when it became crystal clear that we were no longer being run like a big club. People can complain (with some justification) about the manner of their departures or the rival clubs that they have since joined, but that is not the same as what you are complaining about

Just heard the interview with the non league Manager that discovered him. Sounds like a talent with real potential. Wish him well. It's sad people are writing him off before he's even played. Can you imagine the grief Wrighty would have got on this forum when we signed him because of his non league background?
Think we should welcome the lad and hope he is a great success . Coming from where he is he might just have the work ethic that some of our other players lack in spades. Let's just hope beyond hope that's he's the next Ashley Cole and not the next Kieran Gibbs who typifies our slow sideways undynamic style of play.

What the Ian Wright who had scored 2 goals in the F.A cup final, that one ?
