It matters not because we would only crucify him for any missed chances!

Loads of Leicester fans on BBC website saying that Ranieri should be sacked.

8 months since he won the League. FFS - try waiting 13 years.

They need to be careful what they wish for

Arsenal have in fact been relegated once in 1913 when they finished bottom of the league. They were called Woolwich Arsenal back then. We were promoted back to the old First division after the First World War when Division One was expanded from 20 to 22 clubs. We had finished only 5th in Division Two, and everyone assumed that the two relegated clubs, Chelsea and Spurs, would earn a reprieve. But our Chairman Henry Norris lobbied every member of the FA Committee, and when the vote was taken Arsenal were promoted at the expense of Spurs!

yes think in 1912/13 near first word war time ..... they changed name from Woolwich Arsenal to just The Arsenal after that never been relegated

Everton are the next longest but no where near the Arsenal Football Club

He may go this summer, he may not. Whenever it is announced you can bet that he will be lauded and feted, and as sure as night follows day there will be calls to name a stand after him or create some other monument to his genius.

Sorry, but he has been richly rewarded for his earlier achievements, and then some. He has trousered over £100million since he last won the Premiership 13 years ago. The one great manager in our history, Herbert Chapman, died in the middle of delivering us the first of three consecutive titles, and turned us from a modest London club to the most famous club side in the world. If only the Champions' League had existed in the 30s!

To afford Wenger an honour equivalent to Chapman's statue (he already has a bust) for clinging on and delivering over a decade of mediocrity would be an insult to the great man's memory. Wenger should just go with our good wishes - no statue, and certainly no question of a stand named after him or a testimonial match awarded to him.

(I've reposted this here as the admin in their wisdom have locked the separate thread I created....)

I am watching Sky and I feel like putting my foot through the TV. Carragher has discussed Wenger and stated there is something wrong at Arsenal, there is something wrong with Wenger...he has introduced a culture that 4th is good enough and it has permeated through the entire club and even the players themselves have bought into it. EXACTLY right. Its the same every season he said..we go to Chelsea go a goal down, the concede another as we push for an equaliser, then after bombing out of everything we go on an incredible run to secure a CL spot. EVERY single year.

And then in wades Gary Neville, sticking by the fact that he called the banner fan an idiot and listening to Arsenal fans outside the stadium slagging off Wenger. He doesn't deserve that says Neville. YES he fucking DOES!!! Neville banging on about how they hate managers getting sacked (must be still smarting) and what happens if Arsene goes and then suddenly Arsenal drop to 7th or 8th?? So FUCKING what!!! WTF is the matter with these people, how much longer must WE, not him, WE put up with this shit??? Neville slags us off the whole game and now defends Wenger with his life...I am so sick of this shit!!

Totally agree mate.

Gary Neville made a great football career out of very limited ability but he's being shown up now for his very limited intelligence. Shit manager & shit pundit as both jobs rely upon someone being intelligent enough to analyse complex situations.

Thick twats tend to get found out - like he did in Spain

Neville didn't have so much to say when Paddy Vieira marched into the United dressing room at Highbury and told him if he wanted to put himself about with the likes of Reyes he would have him to answer to. As I recall he went and hid behind Keane

Not true.

Everton have the most combined seasons in total in top flight football but have been relegate - 1931 and 1951

We have not been relegated since we moved to Highbury In 1913, we have played in the 2nd tier at previous grounds.
