The only consolation from these ties is seeing Wenger and his legion of worshippers slapped back to reality as our 'sports entertainment franchise' is swatted aside by a serious football club

It's really sad seeing the club humiliated at this stage year after fucking year. For me these are wasted years that we'll never get back - unbelievable resources, the basis of a great squad (with a few class additions needed obviously) and world-class stadium... if only we had a decent manager and an owner who gave a fuck...

We seem to pick the same team and formation every week regardless of who we're playing or player form but if we are to be anyway competitive in this game some serious tinkering is needed with the side.

From the "regular" starting 11 I'd drop out Walcott, Iwobi and Ozil and start Perez, Welbeck and El Neny instead. Pack the centre of midfield with El Neny, Xhaka and Ox have the pace and power of Lucas and Welbz on the flanks to feed ball to Alexis up top.

Ospina will start in goal which will be an improvement on helmet head, the only question with the rest of the defence is who plays left back, I'd rather see Monreal over Gibbs but you'd be worried about either as their form has tanked this season.

Anyway he'll probably start the same old boring team in the same old tiresome formation and end up with the same result we usually get away to the big boys - a brown holing

Agree about Perez. How he isnt getting more games is a mystery. As for the starting line up, well its obvious Welbeck and Perez upfront with Sanchez to offer some stability on the flanks. There were a couple of times Walcott was caught out against Hull leaving Bellerin exposed - nothing has been said or learnt about his non-effort on Alonso for Chelsea's opener. When you see Sanchez putting in maximum effort, and contrast to Walcott who feels he is too good to be defensive duties, it makes you wonder what self-delusions he has regarding his own ability.

Because I'm not keeping as close a watch on European football as I used to, I have no idea how Bayern are performing (I know they are top league of course), so I cant predict with any confidence how this match will go. I see and hear people saying that all is not well in the Bayern camp, so wouldn't it be typical if the gods set it up for wenker to knock Bayern out ? Personally I would have preferred to home game first cos they would have travelled to us with less pressure knowing that the second leg is in their place - instead they will now have the pressure of getting a good result in the first leg at home, along with the pressure of dealing with a dressing room that is supposedly fractured between the german's and the "foreigners"

This could be the season where he finally knocks out one of the big guns lads
