As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Protests? Be honest with yourselves here. Does anyone in their heart of hearts really think any of the above give a flying shit what us supporters think?
Christ, it will never end.
I'm not sure about the players loving him anymore if I'm honest - I'm not judging that solely on what I read in the meeja, but more on what I see on the pitch, and I see a lot of frustration amongst the players which I have never seen before All it takes is for it to start with one of your best players (sanchez) grumbling about how things are within the club, and you will then see several players following him - by and large players are not stupid in that they see sanchez as a winner and our best performer, and the ambitious one's will be more inclined to take his lead cos they want what he wants.
What I do believe in the meeja is the reports that players are pissed off with the special treatment that ozil is getting - rate him or not, it was clear to everybody that the ox was our best player in the cup game against Southampton and the game against the chavs. How do you think that he (and others) feel when they keep getting dropped and ozil remains a constant in the starting 11 ? I am a long standing fan of the ox, but I know that he isn't (and probably never will be) in ozil's class, but the reality is that (Wednesday night not included) he has been performing better than ozil in recent games, but is quickly sacrificed when it comes to team selection. My gripe is that I still believe that there is the makings of a good player in the ox, but he needs to get a long run of games in the team to allow him to perform well without constantly looking over his shoulder - being frequently dropped, and being moved around positionally, is not giving the guy a chance to show if he is good enough or not. Ozil seem's to be untouchable in the squad, and nobody can say that disgruntled players don't pick up on that
I kinda agree on a lot of that augie. The Ozil situation is ludicrous, no matter how bad he plays he gets picked and that is not right - and as you know I rate him as Bergkamp class. But it is typical Wenger, he did it with Giroud and Ramsey - and still does when they are fit.
Where we differ is that I don't think there are many (if any) genuinely ambitious players in our current squad. They never look sick after losing, they have the odd hissy fit (Ox the other night) but they don't "sort out" each other on the pitch when it's needed. I honestly believe the majority of our current squad might not respect Wenger but are cute enough to know he and he alone is the reason they are getting paid ridiculous money for fuck all effort or return. They know if Wenger goes the golden fucking goose goes with him. Who else would pay Walcott or Giroud north of £140K a week? The majority of these modern players (particularly the young ones) view success as being rich, not the haul of trophies and medals at careers end. The game is fucked, mate. Fucked.

This is getting ridiculous.....will this plague never leave us?????

The press conference changes nothing for me - I did allow myself to get slightly excited when he was almost 30 minutes late for the conference, but deep down I really didn't expect him to say anything different than what he usually says.
Imo he is done unless he wins the league or champions league - in other words he is done
I must say about 25% of me (otherwise known as my cock ) felt he might announce he was leaving at the end of the season today. Failing that I thought he'd just stonewall any questions about his future.
That comment about him managing next season has me really worried, he wants to stay, the board want him to stay - that's terrifying.
So much for him "knowing his time was up" eh Martin?
Today's presser was just like loads of others as someone said before, protest on a large scale would probably get to him but unfortunately a huge chunk of our fanbase wont be up for it.They have been programmed these last few years to accept mediocrity as success and le fartpipe as their leader no matter what .I still think us wobs should protest though absofuckinglutely i do any bad light shone on le bumhole can only be good imo

Be interesting to hear what those Bayern players are getting...Fuck me way in front of our shite.....Honestly only think Sanchez is worth keeping the rest can fuck off and start again....
I take it his comment about managing "here or somewhere else" was his passive aggressive way of saying, "If you don't appreciate me more I'll fuck off you ungrateful pricks".
What depressingly predictable shite. The Old Fraud always comes out fighting when his back's against the wall, no matter how deluded. Why was he even late? He spends all hours at the training ground or in board meetings.
Nice to see him disparaging the clubs European Cup history again, even though the Be All and End All wasn't around in it's current format. Since 1979-80 we have failed to win the VT just eight times in all those years and we have been solidly top half since we almost got relegated in the mid 70s, not to mention all the cups we have won - Including two European trophies - before this tosser turned up at the club.
It's fucking insane of him to shit on our European history, seeing as this fucking fraud has NEVER won a European trophy in 'over thirty years in football'. He only won a single league title with Monaco and a single domestic cup in seven years. He failed there in the Cup Winners Cup, just as he has failed at The Arsenal in the UEFA Cup and the Be All and End All. Just one CL final appearance in 19 seasons. It's a fucking awful record.
This cúnt cannot realize that to win in European competition requires a defence as tight as a duck's arse, not this 2-8-0 shite he has us playing, with no defensive nous and endless sideways passing around the opposition box. You cannot get away with never training the players and studying the opposition in Europe. It's been pointed out very effectively by our own Rodders, that our best run in the CL was thanks to the defensive training by cocksucker-in-chief Martin Keown, who irrationally loves TOF in spite of being fobbed off and not given a continuing job at the club.
As has been said, the gauntlet has been thrown down. There must be protests. He must be hounded out, no matter how hopeless or pointless that protests seem. It's quite correct that he cannot take the pressure, when the scattered protests have forced the media to question him. His God complex cannot take it. It's just a fucking shame that it seems we cannot mobilize enough WOB support and that Cashburton is enemy territory.
It's amusing to see him claim he may manage elsewhere next season. It's obvious he's staying here until he is forced out. No other club would employ this chancer on his £23K per day salary. To still call him an Arsenal man, or an Arsenal legend is an insult the the club, considering how he throws our history and supporters under the bus whenever it suits him. Fuck him. Fuck him all the way to hell.
With due respect to those who have previously argued that fan protests are futile, he has thrown down the gauntlet with his statement this morning and anyone who cares enough about the club has to accept it. I think he is testing the water by saying he will be managing somewhere come what may: we have to make sure the water in his familiar pond is now much hotter than he ever realised.
Unless he makes an unequivocal announcement that he will not be managing the club next season by the next premiership home match against Leicester on 11 March, we simply have to prepare to take the message to him loud and clear outside and inside the stadium then, and if necessary in every other home game.
There can be no more appropriate game, in my opinion: a match against last season's champions, without a fraction of Wenger's resources, against whom we fell short in the season while most of our key rivals were regrouping, changing managers and doing exactly what we should have done. This match is also on Sky, so let's hope Brother Neville is on duty.

I’ve said before that to me, everything Wenger says is basically: “go fuck yourself”.
Today was no different.
His “I’ll be managing somewhere” is enough to make my blood boil; The fucker’s playing poker with a piss-weak hand but knows his opponents (board, Gazzzzidis, Krankee) don’t have the bollocks for it, despite holding all the aces.
I took it as a "fuck you" to the journalists for having the temerity to write negative things about him during the week.
You know what thats probably spot on. Now you've said it like that i'd bet my house on it.
Well said Sean - i've just spent a fair few hours explaining to my colleagues why he isn't this man of principle they all think he is.
As for the "I will manage next season" There is no way on gods green earth he would have the stomach to go anywhere else and start a job from scratch again. As always with him that was probably a calculated "warning" to the board who would literally fall out of their arses with panic if he didn't renew.

CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANT
Been at the photoshop again, Rodders?
Wenger's not in the picture, so we surely can't have won that trophy.

Great Post mate.
Wenger should be asked to explain that hideous 19-3 scoreline against him in the 6 1st leg KO CL games since 2012.
There is no way that would have happened under any other past Arsenal managers. Wenger's lack of respect for Arsenal traditions has resulted in a horrendous amount of thrashings over the last 10 years. Any normal manager would be ashamed of that record but as we all know too well, Wenger is far from normal.
