Sutton United (A) | FA Cup R5 | Mon 20 Feb 19:55 | BBC1

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If we scrape past Sutton, let Lincoln have 12,000 tickets because that way, at least someone with turn up.

Why did the draw happen today? All the other rounds its been on Monday before the game. This'll test the mental strength of our players :D :D

I have supported Arsenal for 51 years and the idea that I would admit ever to wanting them to lose any game of football should be unthinkable. But I am prepared to "come out" and say I hope that either Sutton or Lincoln beat us, because it would kill off any lingering hope he has of putting the club through another two years of purgatory. Once we do get past those two giants of the game we would be facing Spurs, Chelsea, United or City at Wembley in any further rounds, and I could not admit to ever wanting those teams to beat us whatever the bigger picture: besides even if we did lose to those teams there would be less guarantee that it would be the decisive blow.

So come on Sutton, for the greater good. Miracles can happen!

The biggest threat would be complacency and seeing as we take premier league sides for granted most weeks you'd have to consider it a possibility.

Having said that I full expect a comprehensive 4 or 5 nil victory and fantastic mental strength to prevail after the fisting taken in Munich.

If Arsenal win 8-0 it is irrelevant, equally if Arsenal win 2-0 it is also irrelevant.. There should be no redeeming factors in an Arsenal win tonight..
Whatever happens winning tonight is like winning the Champions League group, somewhere down the line humiliation awaits..

Think we'll win this 3-1 or 4-1 . We don't have it in us to keep a clean sheet. We'll then struggle to break down Lincoln, and they'll snatch a late winner for one of the all time FA Cup shocks, and Wenger will be gone a week later. We generally play better and with far less complacency away from home (ðecent sides excepted) so I can't see an upset tonight, but sooner or later there'll be a result that breaks the camels back and I wouldn't be shocked if it was at home in the quarter finals.

this match is going to be like no other Arsenal have ever faced.
think of the smallest ground that Arsenal have ever played and then think it will be about half the size of that :D

Sutton United have actually had to bring in temporary floodnights tonight because their current ones are so poor it would have meant the match was too dark for TV. Also look out for the Arsenal fans in a new temporary stand that seats only 90

this will be a comfortable win for Arsenal in the end, but it could well be a very nervy start.

I am going and I'm looking forward to it.

I don't think the pitch size will make a difference. The pitch will be more of a worry injury wise. But the fans are right on top of the players. The atmosphere will be unreal.

We should win if we go out with the right attitude.

For any Gooners going the pub next to the ground( The Plough) makes the 12pins look like the Ritz. It is a poop hole.

You're better off getting off at Sutton stn and drinking in the Cock and Bull then walking to the ground from there. It takes about 20mins. I'd get to the ground early. Sutton fans in the ticket queue were talking about getting there from half 6 onwards.

I'm in the home terraces. Tin hat on if we're tonking them. Thick skin at the ready if we're embarrassing ourselves.

Enjoy.

I'm in the home end too - yeah you are right about the Plough!
I would also recommend the Old Bank pub right next to Sutton station for the Arsenal supporters heading down.

Should be fun down there when the Arsenal coach rocks up
