As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Was kinda hoping we might get someone from the AKB side that was lucid, intelligent and able to debate... obviously we didn't get that. It gets boring after a while just reading "Wenger is shit" in every thread, even if it's true!
The internet is full of these type of no-mark, no-mates mongs. They go on a forum with delusions of their own self importance, and when the forum doesn't hail them as the genius they think they are whilst sitting in their lonely grief bunker in mom's basement, they then resort to personal insults aimed at other posters and, in particular, moderators. Then, when asked to cut that shit out, they have a meltdown, usually aimed at a mod, and get banned. Then they either crawl like a child to the forum owners looking to get re-instated, or re-register under a new identity and it begins all over again. Wash, rinse, repeat.
The internet has basically given a platform to the type of morons that used to hide in bushes outside schools, or send offensive letters to local D-List celebrities...
Again you are making the assumption that he is a genuine Gooner, whilst I (wrongly or rightly) believe that he was a fan of some shit club that came on here with nothing on his mind but to wind up already extremely frustrated and angry Gooners Maybe I am wrong (rarely happens ) and he is a genuine Gooner, but if so he is mentally challenged because he made the kind of ridiculous comments that even the most blinded akb's on here in the past, would be utterly ashamed to say or think
I agree with your suggestion that this place needs some balance with fans who are willing to express their ongoing support of wenker in an articulate way - I know that there are many wob (including myself) who sometimes go off in a rant against the senile old c.unt, but at least we joined here as rookies prepared to debate our beliefs in a somewhat calm manner. Members who contribute positively to this forum are not exclusively anti-wenker members (as some would have you believe), but people have to accept that they have to conform to a decent level of debate BEFORE they start abusing long standing members here. I have had some right run in's with pro-wenker supporters on here (one with a fellow Irishman who actually threatened me via pm ), but at least the guy was by and large willing to debate on a fairly reasonable level most of the time
im dead chuffed with myself I managed to convert an AKB on Instagram today, hes heading over here to join the Wenger slating hopefully, only another million to go
That's the fucking spirit. Remember the storming of the Parliament in Belgrade in 2000 and the bloke in the Arsenal jacket leading the charge through the door?
The AKBs are out in force when teams managed by Pep, Simeone or Klopp etc are beaten..Well both Pep and Simeone got wins tonight less than.a week after Wenger's humiliation in Munich..Wonder what the sheep think now? Actually I know and it won't change their view.

Peps in his first season, could well finish above Mr 20 years, still very much in the Champions league and FA Cup.
Klopp is in his 2nd season, has already got to a European final, and could well finish above Mr 20 years.
Who else is there ?
Anyone who will get rid of Bould, Gerry Peyton , Boro Primoric, and the same old, same old training routine and match day tactics is fine by me.
It's like having the same thing for breakfast every day, week in week out, for 20 years, I'm just so bored of it.
There are always going to be fresh cabs off the rank when we get round to looking for a manager, and the more "he" declines the easier it is to argue that many of them could only make us stronger over time - even the likes of Eddie Howe! The "who could we get who would be better" argument that so many AKBs trotted out 5 or 6 years ago has become increasingly ridiculous.
It is however frustrating that we have wasted time indulging one man's divine right to choose his own departure, and in doing so missed out on the chance of hailing some of the best cabs which have had their yellow lights on over the past few years, and which other premiership passengers are now enjoying the ride in. Pep, Conte, Klopp and (whisper it gently) Mourinho are all starting to make their presence felt. Pochettino was clearly a talented manager at Southampton with a particular gift for building a great defence. I'm not so sure that, other than Simeone, any of the cabs who might still be available for hire are in that league. Allegri perhaps, but none of the others so far as I can tell.
So better late than never, but our choice is more limited because we have procrastinated.

I honestly think a lot of top managers and upcoming ones would love the Arsenal job.The media laughingly would try and compare a new manager coming into Arsenal as the same scenario as Moyes following Ferguson, wrong and way wide of the mark.
That is comical Ferguson went out a winner and there is no way Wenger is going to do the same even if he could pull off another FA Cup win which I highly doubt and we all know for sure he wouldn't walk, even if he did the right thing and called it a day, most fans would know the winning of the FA Cup would be papering over the cracks. The goodwill has run out.
Arsenal would pay any new manager top dollar,be given a good budget and a free reign to work without interference at a club with a massive fan base worldwide and a top 10 turnover while living in London.Highly attractive to many, many coaches.
The challenge to put Arsenal back among the elite would be tempting to many. The chance also to build a club that challenges not just domestically but in Europe as well, very attractive.

yeah Pep would have jumped at the chance to manage at Arsenal.
it will be sickening if he leads them to the Champions League final this season.

Another trick of the media, (in a pathetic defence of Wenger) is to claim that no top manager would take the job, as they wouldn't work with Kroenke. I never understood why people act as though Kroenke has been some sort of barrier to success. He has provided Wenger with plenty of transfer funds, and doesn't interfere with how the team is picked. The only reason I despise him, is that he has fuck all ambition, and has been happy to give Wenger a job for life. Under a new manager with the same ownership, the club could easily be a success.
The Moyes comparisons are silly. Man United collapsed after Ferguson left because they hired a limited manager whose glass ceiling was Everton. Man united got it wrong and they sacked him after only 8 months to correct the initial decision. We would only 'do a Man United' if we hired Eddie Howe or Roberto Martinez or gave Thierry Henry the job. However, if we hired Jorge Sampaoli or Allegri, why would anyone expect these managers to deliver results comparable to Moyes?
Sampoali has Sevilla 3 points of the top of the league in Spain. Sevilla are 2 points behind Barcelona and are ahead of Atletico Madrid. Sampaoli can get Sevilla fighting for the Spanish title when they have no right to, whilst Wenger dithers like a fish out of water with a team that should be competing for the title. Then there is Allegri who does everything right and makes sure the best team in Italy cross the line first. Allegri manages to guide Juventus to top spot, easier than Wenger manages to guide us above Spurs.
I agree we 'could do a Man United', if we hire a someone who shouldnt be anywhere near the job, such as Eddie Howe or Roberto Martinez. It says a lot about Wenger, that he is compared to a failed managerial appointment as rationale to keep him. They dont say, keep Wenger because he is building toward something. No, its keep Wenger or end up like Man United under Moyes. The bar is set really high for Arsene, that his hypothetical counterpart is Davis Moyes.
J Although Wenger could 'do a Man United' at current rate. Lose at Anfield and Man United beat Southampton............hello 6th place.
