As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It also needs to be visible and noteworthy. I say commence the march on kick off time against Bayern - miss the first 10 minutes and fill the ground late. It would be captured by the tv camera's, and the media and Wenger would have no choice but to acknowledge the protest. Imagine an empty stadium, filling up with the match already in progress.
Why cant this be achieved? For a club with the most influential social media presence, why cant an organized effort be arranged?
A couple hundred people (even a thousand - if that many turn up) walking in late would not even be noticed. Have you been to the Conglomerates stadium? There are thousands of empty seats everywhere during that first 10 minutes while the late arrivers/early leavers arrive and then a couple thousand seats stay empty throughout the game...
And no it won't "work". A single protest won't do anything "of note", but it might start the ball rolling... might....
Lets just stick to what's been arranged... chopping & changing all the time is going to lead to a diluted fiasco. We get our banners, we get together and we march...this is ALL over social media, the press will pick it up. The only way it will work in the ground is if all of us are sitting together and you are protesting en masse in a concentrated block...but that isn't going to happen is it.....Plus once you get to the entrance your banner will be taken from you, especially if they know about us...and they do. Stay outside, they cannot attack us in the street in front of the press.
And let me just add I have no interest in spending money at the club, or watching us play or getting home at 3 in the morning
No idea why you are addressing that to me - I'm not suggesting changing anything... quite the opposite in fact...
Sorry DB, that was in no way addressed to you, I just copied the thread...I think most people just wanna go with what is planned. It's early for a lot of people, myself included, but hey this was never gonna be easy, a bit of hardship is a minute price to pay...gonna need a crowbar to get this limpet out
No probs man - I was kinda wondering though what I'd said!
it is fine for the march/protest to start at 6pm but it does need to keep going until kick off time at least otherwise I am afraid that it will be completely dismissed by the media.
what I still dont understand is the lack of interest in such a protest from supporters groups - without that backing then any protest is likely to ultimately fail. for example Red Action gather in the Rocket pre game. will they be there still and if so why? these are the groups that need to be out marching.
The lovely ms fahey was a bit of a girl in her day as most of the boys who went to Studio 21 will tell you .Long before they hung their arses out for fun boy 3 these girls were rocking the punk/new romantic scene !

Unlikely banners will get taken away. We had them inside at least 3 or 4 home games last year. Just need a bit of ingenuity to get them in...
I agree about there being no abuse in this protest .... but would also hope there is no sentiment or show of gratitude either.
So lets drop the ''thanks for the memories'' thing for this. He's had enough praise for the good years and besides, I have a few too many memories I do not wish to thank him for.
The ''thanks for the memories'' banner was fine when it came out in 2011 but a lot has happened since then. Lets just try and get this man out of our club and make sure he knows we want him out this summer. Thank him for the memories after he's out if necessary.

agree
this protest is not about looking back - it is about looking forward and showing an interest in what happens next at the club.
it is about suggesting that Wenger is no longer the manager to take the club forward.
Even if he does sign - which I regret to say is on the cards...the anti-wenger protest need to continue week in week out - even so that he gets asked at every opportunity by some journo about it - just to see the cun.t squirm....he has brought enough misery into our lives these past 8 years for certain and some might argue the last 12 years...
Anyone know if the E I E T-shirts are still available???

You mean carrying them internally, don't you...?
I wonder if the stewards could get away with a cavity search under the guise of elf 'n safety??

We should be looking to get as many fans as possible together at the East Stand between 6 and half past. Set off then so we get to Armoury/Bear Rdbt for 7 as most fans are arriving, then camp out there with the banners etc.
As to the fan groups, it would be suicide for any of them to be behind a protest against solely the manager, even BSM who have no connection with the club & are 100% persona non grata would find it hard to just do Wenger Out. BSM are the only one's that could possibly do it, AST and RA wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.

Obviously there is a line that shouldn't be crossed, but at the same time I don't agree with this total "non abusive" protest - football is a game where passions run high frequently, and this newer sanitized stadiums are a lot of what is wrong with football nowadays, so having another "vanilla protest" only serves to portray us as latte drinking nice boys Our frustrations run deep, so why shouldn't the protest be as intensive as can be ? As you rightly said, the day has gone for nice protests, so maybe cranking it up a few notches would be a better way to go ?
