Absolutely agree - my fear is that wenker has such respect amongst opposition managers (including ancellotti), that Bayern wont even put out half of their first team tonight and we will get a moral victory  We all know that Bayern players realise that this tie is done and dusted already, so why would they push themselves and risk injury or suspension ? Sad to say but we wont see our boys get the absolute thrashing that so many of us covet tonight :( :(

This is the least I've cared about the result of an Arsenal game in over 35 yrs. That makes me sad. :(

I have an alternate view of that - I think that wenker will put BFG into the team so that he has a "fall guy". If/When mertesacker gets the run around, the spotlight will be on him as being too old and/or too slow, and the focus will be on his shortcomings instead of wenker and the rest of the team. For me this stinks of wenker sacrificing his captain in a bid to deflect blame away from himself

Remember what hard work we made of beating Sutton (who played extremely well) so don't underestimate Bayern's reserves.

The protest to be a rip roaring success and a fisting to be handed out in front of a half empty stadium :barscarf:

Knowing full well that nobody would dare say to him..."But you were the one who picked him" That doesn't seem to matter over at the Emirates. He finds them, he buys them, he picks them, they fail....Gaelic shrug, nothing to do with him :? :? :?

Hoping for a 5-0 win or a 5-0 bumholing.

Nightmare would be a 3-0 victory. Just enough for Wenger to achieve a moral victory yet leaves the team in the same position as always.

Actual tweet to the Wenger Protest account about tonight's game:

@Wenger_Protest @Arsenal why don't you just enjoy a match against one of Europe's best teams? One we never stood a chance of beating.

Is that what we've come to? Enjoying being in the matches without any sense of ambition? Our Emirates era fanbase is a fucking embarrassment and make us sound like Spuds.

Sad.

Yeah we never stood a chance...but why is that exactly?

Higher wage bill than Bayern? check
More money on transfers? check
World class training facilities? check

Oh yeah, I remember.

Shit manager who over pays mid table talent, requires no effort of his players, content with 4th place? FUCKING CHECK
