THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

That's what the score would be if I played Andy Murray

And 10-2 is like something Ronnie O'Sullivan does to someone in a snooker final.

I know its been debated on here before but i'm far from convinced a top class manager would agree to manage here, especially if the funds aren't available. The rebuilding work required is immense and as we've all discussed the number of players you'd have to replace potentially on a tight budget is staggering.

I'm also not convinced that a new manager could get the best out of the players we have simply because the work ethic is not there for a good number of them, and even selling a number of players might not increase the budget much because i have a feeling that would be factored into the 'available' budget.

Lets be brutally honest a new manager would have to do at least as much rebuilding as 'The Chosen *word censored*' at Man U but i'm willing to bet with a much smaller budget, how many winning managers would be willing to stake their reputations on turning us around in say half a season because that's about all the AKBs would give him :rubchin:
Wenger spent best part of 100m in the summer. Funds are made available.
Nick £100M is nowhere near enough, not by a long shot! How many of our players would you honestly keep to build a title challenging team, never mind a winning one?

His replacement is screwed and has no chance unless by some miracle he is Houdini and God rolled into one, Wenger has done a hatchet job on the club i just don't think we realise how much yet :rubchin:

Take Sanchez's goals and assists out the team and even with a half decent replacement i dread to think where we'd be with this squad

The bloke is deluded, finished, stubborn and out of touch/outdated with the whole club and the supporter base.

The board are old/outdated/haven't got a clue about football and quite frankly the club is shambolic at the moment.

Even when the old senile bastard pisses off, we will still have a clueless board who are running this GREAT club in the ground.

What is really getting on my f***** tits is the media and some of the support base who have low expectations because of the senile f***** old c*** who has lied for 12 years and deflected all blame and used every excuse in the book to try and cover for his failings.

As a football club we were on bar with the best clubs in the world in 2006. We were on Barcelona's level. And you have dickheads on twitter i.e. Oliver Kay (C***) and John Cross (smithers) telling us that we should be more grateful we aren't in f***** ORIENT, BLACKBURN AND CHARLTON's position!!

I FORGOT they pay the highest ticket prices in world football to watch shit football whilst being told we would be on Bayern Munich's level..

I FORGOT that they made a UCL final in 2006...

I FORGOT that they went a whole season undefeated to come to this rabble we are now...

F*** me. Comparing the Arsenal to Blackburn, Orient and Charlton. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Could you see Barcelona being in this predicimant 11 years after 2006? Not challenging for 11 years? Could you?

Nah, but we should be grateful. We have patient enough with this f***** shambles of a club and a senile old deluded disrespectful c*** of a manager.

I've fucking had a enough of the lot of them.

...would Barcelona drop Messi and then jog him on because he was angry about it?
Maybe Barcelona wouldn't drop Messi, but they certainly got rid of Sanchez quickly enough. Just a thought!
Yeah point taken but that was because they had Messi,Neymar and Bucktooth C*nt up front, when Sanchez cannot get in ahead of Giroud,Walcott and Perez somethings wrong.
Something is wrong, that's for sure!

The thing with the Barcelona deal was that Barca were sure that Suarez was coming to them from Liverpool, and had to move one of the players on...or find a way of playing with 4 at the front - which could have been WOW, but anyway, they had Messi and Neymar and Sanchez, and Sanchez was chosen.
Of course I don't know why Sanchez went.
Could he not handle the thought of only being 4th best/whatever, but fact is that he came here and Barca ended up winning the Treble. Also there was the whole Barcelona transfer problem, so there's a number of factors as to why Sanchez went when and where he did, but fact is he is not a happy bunny at the moment.

Is that down to Wenger, or the squad he is playing with, or just one individual player, or the delay with his wage demands. Or maybe Juve aren't willing to pay him enough?

Sorry for rambling on a bit. Nervous about tonight.

So why do I think Sanchez is not happy?

Because he has a complete f.uckw.it of a manager, quite clearly.
Sanchez never fitted in with Barcas style, he is more direct and the short quick passing way often found him out of sync. He was actually 3rd/4th choice rotated with Pedro, with Pedro ahead of him. He would have been 5th choice. Hence they relatively low fee of £30m and only Liverpool the other team in for him.

He was never a success at Barca, but wasn't a total failure. No shame, and he has been a very good player for us on the whole, particularly this season. In fact the way he looks fruststated with his teammates is the sort of looks Messi and co. used to have when Sanchez would take the shot on, or dribble to much when the pass was on. Back then I watched pretty much every Barca game, until they moved some La Liga games to 3.15pm's.

I think he isn't happy with the squad, the other players aren't up to his level and it can be very frustrating at any level, not winning games and knowing your teammates aren't up to it and the coach isn't up to it either. I often noticed Ozil and Sanchez only looking for each other at times end of last season and beginning of this. But yeh you're right, it boils down to the f.uckw.it of a manger we have.
