Re: Wenger Out protest, Saturday 11th March 4pm
One word of advice: in designing a message from a plane, the fewer words the better: seriously, just two or three in order to create maximum impact and visibility.
I think it has to be either (but not both) "No New Contract" or "Wenger Out" (not both).
For me, it's just the latter.

Not sure if City did get fined, the Memorandum of Understanding for avoiding clashes with Champions League is done: http://www.espnfc.us/uefa-champions-lea ... ague-datesRugby Gooner wrote:
The re-arranged Leicester game may be the last home game of this season unless the Premier League take a fine on the chin like they did for Citeh, and play it on a Champions League night.
Those MNF matches mean we won't be playing a rearranged match before April 25/26 unless it's on a Thursday. We should find out when all the rearranged matches are next week

I heard that the Premier League took the bullet for Citeh,to the tune of £42,000 because it helped ease fixture congestionZiegler1988 wrote:Not sure if City did get fined, the Memorandum of Understanding for avoiding clashes with Champions League is done: http://www.espnfc.us/uefa-champions-lea ... ague-datesRugby Gooner wrote:

Just 'No New Contract' would be a bit vague. How about 'No New Contract for Wenger' ?Bob Bayliss wrote:One word of advice: in designing a message from a plane, the fewer words the better: seriously, just two or three in order to create maximum impact and visibility.

We should pay the pilot to litter the ground with anti-Wenger propaganda

I am so fucking proud of you, lads
Lot's of brilliant ideas here, keep them coming.
To my shame, I cannot afford to chip in any money, but rest assured I will be attending every home game demo this season
I totally agree that the protests should keep going for the rest of this season, but we should also think up other ideas. Planes for away games sounds great, whilst we keep up the pressure at home games with demonstrations and billboards. Unlike TOF, we do tactics and can change them according to the circumstances
I posted some songs on Page 47 that might have been missed. Please give feedback and fresh suggestions. Having a megaphone is a decent idea, but I also think the marchers should have some room to freestyle it a bit. The songs should be short and snappy, as longer songs will burn us out. I had a coughing fit by the time we got to Drayton Park and my throat is still a little rough at lower volumes. It's very important that we sing loud and proud, as it was very effective last time. There also seemed to be a conscious effort among us marchers not to leave too many pauses between songs, as people were starting new ones when others died down.
I agree we need to keep the focus on TOF, although some may want to slip in anti-Kroenke/Gazidis chants, at that point we need to start another Wenger chant. Once we get to Cashburton, or near any significant media scrum, we need to keep the songs 'clean' to ensure airtime. They won't bother bleeping us out. Yes, it's frustrating pulling our punches, but it's the price we pay for publicity.
We also have to think of the state of play if the worst happens and The Old Fraud signs the contract. Do we pause the marches until around February 2019, but keep the billboards and leaflets going? Make the marches more occasional?
Anyway, I am looking forward to meeting a few more of the OG faithful tomorrow

Re: Wenger Out protest, Saturday 11th March 4pm
A group of us who were doing banners last season looked into the Ad Van idea. A digital one with changing images. We were gonna get it to drive round by the Emirates on a matchday and by the Arsenal pubs. Came in at 500 for the day IIRC. Probably +vat.
We were gonna put up the Gazidis quote, various pics of banners etc. All on a digital loop. I was gonna get speakers and do Wenger Out! stuff.
As there were only a few of us cost was prohibitive.
Another fantastic idea we had was...,.......
Hire an open-top bus. Last day of season drive it round with a mock"top four trophy". Banners hanging off the sides Singing WengerOut songs. Now that'd be mint!

"Time For Change. Wenger Out!"

Sean, if you are able to attend tomorrow's protest you will be doing your bit mate - being there in person makes a huge, significant contributionSean wrote:I am so fucking proud of you, ladsLot's of brilliant ideas here, keep them coming.

Re: Wenger Out protest, Saturday 11th March 4pm
By the way......
After years and fucking years of frustration, anger and disappointment, I can honestly say I'm proud to be a member of this forum.
I only joined it back in 2011 to get involved with designing and paying for the original "memories" banner.
I've been showing banners at grounds myself since 2012, getting abused, slapped and even spat on. Sometimes I wondered was it worth the hassle. Now I know it was!
Tonight I'm so happy that we have galvanised and are starting to take direct action. I know its a bit of a cliche but lets reclaim ownership of our club. Lets TAKE our Arsenal back. Lets not sit on our hands anymore. I can honestly say that typing this I'm getting a little emotional. (Yes I've had two beers)
I will put it this way........
If we dont do something NOW, Us. You! We face the prospect of another 2 - 3 years of Wenger and his failed ways. If we dont get rid of him now with the momentum we have at the moment, I fear we never will.
Great stuff lads.

That moment just after 6.30 on Tuesday as we marched off and the first chant of 'We want Wenger out' boomed out on Avenell Rd bought a happiness over me greater than that I've felt over any Arsenal win in recent years.
Your right about the momentum as well, I think we are going to have a very big turnout tomorrow.

Re: Wenger Out protest, Saturday 11th March 4pm
I think the away day plane idea is now my favorite. Would get huge publicity and media coverage. Also quicker turnaround I would presume. The stationary billboard is out because that would take too long. Not sure how effective a mobile billboard will be. Of course we can try all methods, we need to be creative. balloon idea also sounds good.
Once again all we need is a fundraiser and we can decide what we do with the money after. ready to keep contributing into this cause.
We need to get rid of the dictator, there will never be a better time than right now.
