I put the below text on my
Facebook page to try and widen support amongst gooner's who are friends but have not joined us yet ( with a rider for my non football friends or those that don't support us to scroll through)

Sharing it here if anyone wants to copy and paste it ( and adjust? ) to their own Facebook pages if the have them

--------------

Arsenal fans who back the campaign to get Wenger to leave at end of season. A fighting fund has been set up to finance our efforts.

https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/chris-butler

It's been an amazing week, starting from online discussion 3 weeks ago, we managed to get 350 odd out for the Bayern game last Tuesday and around 450 yesterday and growing (don't believe the media figures). Most importantly the protests have kept the situation and story in the media all week, clearly irritated Wenger, who hates criticism, and forced the club onto the back foot ( even the statement didn't really convince the public).

We have a lot planned for the next few games, next up a fly by banner plane has already been booked and paid for to fly over the hawthorns for the West Brom vs Arsenal game next Saturday with an appropriate (non abusive) message on, and other things are planned in the weeks ahead if need be, to keep variety and get the message out to wenger and the club. But obviously all this requires funding

So if you support this aim, it's no good just moaning, even if you can't bring yourself to hold a banner at a protest. Please donate what you can, help us keep this pressure up, includes gooners overseas

The alternative is he signs for two more years, no point moaning then

Far left holding 4th place trophy banner with Mr Paulon. That's Stevers in the white top far right with the Arsenal FC not Arsene FC banner. As I mentioned yesterday he did a great job controlling the pace and crowd, stopping regularly so we didn't get too spread out like Tuesday. All active on Twitter.

Food for thought. Spurs fan taking one

Fair play to all involved yesterday, and at the very least, Wenger's latest comments should show everyone how right you are for wanting change. I have reached the stage that I not only want us to lose games, but I want humiliations. It amazes me that people can be Wenger out, yet care about our league games, when they are nothing more than VT games, with the league well out of sight. I have also reached the stage that if he signs a new deal, then i'm done with the club. The club at the moment is nothing but one mans vanity project. We exist to make already rich assholes more money, and if you show dissent, then Wenger(and the AKB'S) will act as though your opinion doesn't matter. Also, anyone who wheels out the line "He deserves more respect", fuck off, as this *word censored* has lined his pockets, while lying to the fans, and continuously disrespecting us. Wenger out, by any means possible.

Spot on mate. I've done a few radio and TV interviews since Tuesday - I've made exactly the points you've made about Wenger and the Board caring more for profits than they do for glory.

It's not just the 4th place / last 16 stuff that grates is it?? It's the torrent of bullshit that flows from Wenger and the club.

Excellent work getting yet more mainstream publicity despite the snorefest on the pitch.

Fully agree that it would be great to continue it every game. Also agree that if we draw Spurs in the semi it wouldn't be a good idea to do it - tensions will be so high anyway and it will only get negative publicity from the media given the occasion.

Such a shame that it is met with complete apathy by the majority of home-going fans who cling onto some notion that he doesn't deserve protests because of th misconception that he will have the humility and decency to leave at the end of the season. That could really be the difference as full-scale protests would be unignorable but as it is the contract is still there and his ego is still fucking enormous.

Bit of a long one this - Sorry Mods.

Attended the March and for me in the main it went well, as Sean has said we were mostly on the right side of the front of the march - It started off slowly but definitely built very quickly as more & more Gooners began to arrive.

All kinds of Banners were attaached to the safety fences in front of the scaffolding outside the entrance to the Marble Halls. After some photographs and a few interviews (Not me I hasten to add  ) with various journo's - a few chants then the police on horses arrived to see us 'safely along the round (sic)'.

And so we set off, being at the front it was difficult to judge numbers - but the volume was good (I did a lot of CND & Green Peace Marches back in the day and so it felt & sounded like a crowd of about 250 - 350) the pace of the march eventually settled into a rhythm, occasionally pausing to allow Journo's and others to take pictures (proper). Most of those along the route on either side of the road were either filming with their mobiles or clapping & smiling. A few joining in which was good to see.

The only incidents I was aware of that weren't welcome was as we approached Arsenal Station some ginger day walker ***** started giving it large about Lincoln and how we were 'spoiling their day' - Yes, the mind boggles - especially as I saw more than a few in Lincoln shirts and scarves clapping & taking pictures - they understood. Then as we arrived outside the station the march paused again as more pictures & filming went on, it was then that these 5 utter wankerrs started shouting 'we ant wenger in' and made the usual gestures towards the march - now 5 vs 250+ how foolish is that Some of the young gooners who'd obviously been drinking rushed towards them and I thought it would kiick off, one of the horse plod moved towards the march...but thankfully a few of the Older more experienced Gooners stepped in and calmed the yung uns down..and the - the 5 wankers ran off ( I was later told that apparently they wer scum fans who had been 'done over' last week by some Boreham wood gooners!) :? .
Anyway onward we went, at this point everyone on the kerbsides were filming and/or applauding I didn't hear or see not One Single Descentor, as we entered the covered area of the North bridge - Everyone really Lifted their voices the Volume was "Unbelievable"..Those on their way to the game ahead of the march on the stairwells..all looked around as if a herd ( ) of stallions had suddenly come round the corner - they either sped to the side or up the stairs...even the stewards at the top of the stairs with mega-phones looked at one another - I think the Volume took them by surprise also.

Again as we went over the bridge the crowd ahead parted like the Red Sea - I only saw people either clapping or taking pictures...Two of the five wankers from earlier wershouting someting - couldn't hear them above the Gooners Chanting..again some of the younger lads went towards them but were calmed down by the older Gooners ( I say Well Done again! :high5 ).

We got to the Diamond Club/Board Members Entrance and made a large horseshoe shape - all the big banners at the front - everyone else holding either smaller banners or the excellent A4 ones (10 to 2 Tick- Tock Times Up) that Jumpers and his son had kindly done and handed out before the march set off.

The camera people/Journo's did a load of shots, then the chanting started proper...When they (the club) realised this was our destination - the number of security people quadrupled in the blink of an eye...

It was interesting in that most people walking around the crowd - either applauded or simply said nothing..Two Very Ugly women went past 'snarling and shouting' at Me & Sean saying 'You're a Disgrace - You're Not Arsenal' - :| - whatever! :D

Then one of those sweet moments happened (for me) when those diners in the diamond club sat next to window were suddenly rocked by the volume of the chanting :

No New Contract
Arsene Wenger It's Never your Fault
Red Armey
We Love You Arsenal....
We're Not Stopping Till You've Gone...

Then a chant from the past surfaced "Choke On Your Caviar" - The look of horror on those diners faces was one to behold - Particularly this one woman - mutton dressed as lamb type and dripping in gold, you know the kind who always looks like she's got a ripe turd under her nose - the kind who looks at everyone with utter dis-taste....we most definitely spoiled her meal! :high5: People from other parts of the restaurant were coming over to look...then 3 young people took out some A4 "Kroenke Out - Wenger Out - Gazidis Out" sheets and stuck them on the dining room windows - Applause all round, till this maitre de type came over and took them down...when she went away - they put another one up - again it was roundly applauded till it too was removed.

The club by that time had got one of their club photographers to take pictures from the elevated safety of the diamond level club of course- he was met with aexpletives and a wide range of hand gestures shall we say.

Then up went the chant
"Arsene Wenger Spoilt Your Meal"

There was one idiot who having got hold of one of the A4 sheets "Kroenke Out - Wenger Out - Gazidis Out" - ripped it up and shouted something - again we couldn't hear him amidst the din, but a few Gooners went towards him and he shat himself and hid behind the security staff. Then some twatt entering the Diamond Club entrance made the knuckle shuffle gesture and was immediately taunted with 'You're Just a diamond Level wankerr' Very Loudly.

As it neared 17: 10/15 those going into the game began to fold up their banners....then it was done.

Sean and I wandered off for a pint & a chat - Job Done. :barscarf:

I would like to make these observations:

Sean = Top Geezer
Jumpers & Son = Top Geezers

* Those few incidents with the scumfans nearly kicked off - had they done so, it may well have made Front Page / Back Page News...We have all been saying how we need to keep it legal and non-violent, because if we don't we WILL FUCK-IT-UP. It only takes one small incident in front of the media or the clubs watchers and it will be spun and spun into attempted murder etc.

ANYONE Attending the marches MUST be disciplined and no matter what is said / done DO NOT REACT - That is what the Club and the AKB's want. All the Effort & Good Work done so far by many, many people will be destroyed.

So If YOU Are Going To March "BEHAVE" - I would suggest do not get drunk/ Whizzed Before-hand - Some of the young Gooners were drinking as the march went along - that is Not a criticism, merely a fact. I have been on other marched intended to be peaceful - a few idiots have caused (literally) a riot - they over-stepped the set boundaries then the plod Totally Over-acted and a fair number of innocent, good people got 'Truncheoned and Stomped' some arrested and lost their jobs - It is NOT Worth it.*

Keep It Real - Keep it Safe #WENGER OUT. :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Brilliant protest again but looks like Wenger won't take notice until the numbers go up. His comment about 100 unhappy people out of 60000 were a disgrace. To get the numbers up I would suggest getting the fans groups involved e.g. Bsm, ast and redaction. I know most of you don't want them involved but if the organisers of the protest can be firm and make sure the protests are only Wenger out, the numbers could go up massively.

Great post Bard.

Not sure how you didn't react to those ugly women with the ''you're not Arsenal'' jibe. It made my blood boil reading that!

Bayern we had around 200, yesterday was 300-400. Really hope we can get somewhere near 1000 for the City game seeing it's a Sunday and a league game.
