Great summary of what we can't or mustn't do. I feel for you. You might add that the piss up is cancelled if he happens to sign immediately before the semi if we are drawn against Tottenham.xisstential wrote:Ok ...so to sum up......NickF wrote:When you say release them, what do you mean?xisstential wrote:Are there 30 guys on here who have tickets for the Man City game who would be prepared to take in a 60cm beach ball, inflate it inside the ground, then release it at a designated time??
Chuck them on the pitch or around the crowd?
If you're chucking them on the pitch isn't there a risk that you would get ejected and prosecuted.
The balloons are a non starter because they are outside the ground.
We cannot release beach balls in the ground for fear of prosecution
The mobile billboards will not be able to get close to the ground because the streets will be closed...so what's the point?
We cannot get another plane as it's a no fly zone.
So lets keep the rest of the money, then when he signs we can have a giant piss up.

I'm with Flash on this one. Never give the scum an inch.flash gunner wrote:I think we would be praised for putting it behind us for one day. It would be a huge own goal to protest when we play sp*rs as it would give the AKB's a chance to say we are not true Arsenal fans.Bob Bayliss wrote:In our own world you may be right....but in winning the PR war you couldn't be more wrong. Do you honestly think we will be more respected for putting hatred of Tottenham above what we claim is in the long-term insterests of the club? We would be slaughtered for being narrow-minded and shallow. And we would deserve to be IMO.flash gunner wrote:I dont agree. Especially if we play the scum we shouldn't protest. If Chelsea beat United, as they are favourites to do, there is a 2/3 chance we will draw them or Tottenham at Wembley.
On the one hand, I do share the reservations I've read already about organising anything on such an occasion. The sheer numbers there, the combustiable mix of rival supporters, and the likelihood that we might be criticised by many sympathisers for not just shutting up shop and 'closing ranks' mean that it wouldn't be sensible to try to organise a march from Wembley Park to the Stadium. It's a non-starter.
But to do nothing? Really? What sort of message would that send? That we only bother to put our case when we get bored, when the match doesn't matter much, and that we are so grateful that our wonderful manager has steered us to another Wembley semi-final that we are prepared to forget all about our cause for the day? Those are headlines just waiting to be written by AKBs and the media. It would devalue the message we're trying to convey that we are out there come what may from now until the end of the season to focus on the bigger picture.
So I think we should organise something for Wembley, irrespective of our opponents. Leafleting at the turnstiles, balloons inside the ground, whatever. To do nothing would be the biggest own goal we could score.
Its so easy to say stuff them we'll do what we want but with Wenger and the AKB's you have to be clever about it. No abuse and picking specific moments IMO

As much as you might not like it, throwing an object onto the pitch is an offence.xisstential wrote:Ok ...so to sum up......NickF wrote:When you say release them, what do you mean?xisstential wrote:Are there 30 guys on here who have tickets for the Man City game who would be prepared to take in a 60cm beach ball, inflate it inside the ground, then release it at a designated time??

You will probably get away with it if it is a great number like Bayern Munich did but if it is only a small number you run the risk of being spotted.
There was a fella a few years back who got a banning order for chucking a banana at Bale so it has happened....
Re: Wenger Out protest, Saturday 11th March 4pm
Inside the ground we need to stick with placards or small banners. Its not worth getting nicked or banned for throwing items on the pitch.
If the beach balls were used like in the old days in the stands as a play about, ( in them days it was condoms blown up) and it then gets hit by someone onto the field of play by accident, this might be hard to prove that it was intentional, especially with the wind...etc,...
Can we set up the next demo at the man city game, on the title thread being changed please mods ?

When do we play Stoke?? I think I'll get them made anyway and ask 30 of their knuckle dragging fans to do it for us...can you imagine, they would probably pay for the privilege.NickF wrote:As much as you might not like it, throwing an object onto the pitch is an offence.xisstential wrote:Ok ...so to sum up......NickF wrote:When you say release them, what do you mean?xisstential wrote:Are there 30 guys on here who have tickets for the Man City game who would be prepared to take in a 60cm beach ball, inflate it inside the ground, then release it at a designated time??

Anything which intends to delay or disrupt the match itself will almost certain be a criminal offence of some sort. Whilst the police are not exactly going to wade in and start hauling 100+ people ou Of the crowd for chucking tennis balls (for example), you need to be careful exactly what you are putting on a very public forum especially for those few of you have whose profiles are now associated with real names due to interviews and comments on here.

I'll have a diet coke so then buddy

On a serious level, don't get frustrated already cos you knew that there was always going to be obstacles along the way - if I pissed you off earlier with my comments about the "apology" reference, then I sincerely apologise cos I really do appreciate the work you guys are doing
How close are the roads closed around the ground ? I didn't realise that this would be an issue ? Can it be driven down and parked up before the roads close ?

England v Lithuania on the 26th could be a chance to do something. I'm 99% certain the club will make an announcement over the international break.

Cheers Clash....The ugly women were just that - non-people as far as I'm concerned - Not because they were repulsive - It was their 'energy' and attitude' that was ugly - Obviously oblivious to the facts, I really didn't let it or them bother me, I was more concerned that some Gooners in the protest might react and as I said undo a whole load of very good work. I just focused on the job in hand it felt really good to be able to vent just a little of the anger and frustration that I have been feeliing about Wenger and the way the club has tried to totally dis-empower the fans. By doing this - we have proven they have failed.Clash wrote:Great post Bard.
Not sure how you didn't react to those ugly women with the ''you're not Arsenal'' jibe. It made my blood boil reading that!
Which is why I urge All and Any Gooners to get along to the protests even if you have to travel a long way and can only do One Protest it is worth it and will help the cause - beside believe me you'll feel Great!
btw: I did meet a number of Gooners off here but cannot remember their (online names) so apologies if I have miss ed anyone - I had a text earlier to say I had wrongly credited Jumpers *& his Lad for doing the A4 Tick Tock 10 to Two sheets, again I apologise - Jumpers & his lad were distributing them so I thought he had done them.
Excellent interview by Mark as well btw!

For what it's worth I really don't think we should demonstrate if we play the Filth in the semi's or final???? - nor of course at the toilet - those for me is the only No Go Zone/Occasion. Other than that Let's Make the Clueless Fraud Squirm.
#WENGER OUT!

Instead of a mobile billboard, how about a minivan or coach hired for the day to get access to that coach parking area right beside the ground? You could get those temporary car skins put on it to say "Wenger Out" or "No New Contract". No idea of cost or feasibility (how far in advance do you need to apply to the club to get permission to park there etc) but it might be an option?
Obviously, you would also need to organise this off here...

Nearest you can get is Gillespie Road and St Thomas's, which is actually pretty near.augie wrote: How close are the roads closed around the ground ? I didn't realise that this would be an issue ? Can it be driven down and parked up before the roads close ?

Wexit: Let's invoke clause 10.2. Now.
We send £10million a year to Wenger's bank account. Let's fund a new manager instead.

But can it, maybe with permission from the old bill, be driven down and parked up somewhere near the armoury the morning of the game ?

No offence taken on the apology thing. I'm just getting frustrated here. We need 5 or 6 guys to make a decision the everybody will just go along with it. It's co ordinating it that is the problem. Everybody is just shotgunning ideas with zero input on how to make it happen.Plus we get guys on the protest marches who get pissed up then start looking for fights.....
If we had 30 beach balls with Wenger out on them and threw them up in the air..the crowd would just keep knocking them up, it's an instinctive reaction. If it makes it's way down onto the field what are they going to do...arrest everyone that touched it??? Of course there is always the danger of getting clobbered while you are inflating it or the AKB's in the crowd "confiscating" it. Would help if they got released on about 70 minutes with us two goals down.. but giving City's patchy form we'll probably be 2 goals up and a protest will be portrayed as churlish

I will make some enquiries into the mobile billboards...see how close they can get to the ground.

Re: Wenger Out protest - Sunday 2nd April 14:30 Man City (H)
Another idea - again depending on cost - besides taking small Banners/ Posters into the ground/s - How about those cardboard masks..
On the actual Protest Marches how galling would it be for wenger if we all wore George Graham Masks - and / or Alexis Sanchez masks - I know we don't want to detract from the main objective which is #WENGER OUT but it would add a certain something - If there were 250 to 300 George Graham masks protesting in a march with all the banners. Something tells me George might just enjoy seeing that as he is anything but a wenger fan
Or in the ground a couple if hundred fans wearing Alexis masks and chanting "Alexis Sanchez We Want You To Stay"
.
.
Even the AKB's couldn't object to that...
I know most of us agree that we cannot dilute the protests by including wiggy & the board etc at least not yet, but the George Graham and / or Alexis masks thing would make Wenger "Squirm" - especially in the ground where he has to remain - he cannot avoid it - and he will hear and see it - as well as the media!.
