Asian Cup Anyone?

Post by RaM »

Anyone watching it?

Very poor level of play on show there I must say.

Any prospective signings? Maybe for Spurs.

Not quite the sort of spectacle that the Copa America seems to be, and definitely not the market showroom for the high profile clubs of the world either...

Yeh you're getting it confused with something else. Its an international tournament.

The likes of: Indonesia, Iraq, Australia, Oman, Japan, China, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Iran, etc.

Not really surprised by looking at those teams. The Copa America is the tournament for me at the moment

Australia didn't play well in their first match, but need time to adapt to the conditions.

Riveting line up, you must admit!!

Now let me think: Do I watch the South American Championship - a competition involving the likes of Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Uruguay. Or the Asian Cup - one that has footballing giants such as Indonesia, Iraq, Australia, Oman, Japan, China, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Iran?  Em…tough choice!! (Only semi-joking!)

I didn’t even know the Asian Cup matches were being shown in this country. If it is, does anyone know which channel it is on? (In case I’m suffering from a bout of insomnia!!)

To be fair to RaM maybe we should be watching Asian Cup as probably more likelihood our next signing will come from there than Copa America.

AW probably knows most prem managers will be searching south america so he'll get a headstart on any asian gems.

Well, I've only watched one game so far Australia v Oman, and there were no real gems to come from that one.

Australia were shocking, (the game finished 1-1) and Oman have some brilliant actors in their team.

Mind you, Australia only scored late through Tim Cahill to win after being behind for 60+ minutes.

Many of the games are on live here, being easier in tiime difference to other tournaments to show, so I'll watch it for you all and let you know

Don't expect too much though...
