I feel you chose well, rodders. 8) To use "piss flaps" might have come across as a bit "salty" on your behalf.

"Herr Vinegar Fish" would possibly have worked there too... :rubchin:

Interesting that Wenger seems to have changed his tune in his press conference. When asked about his future he said any announcement on his future will come from the club. Maybe that new contract is so clear cut....

Im eternally hoping that its in the backround he's actually scrapping to stay on and is clinging on by a thin thread with the board just biding their time until they can announce he's out the door.

one can hope

It should be a non-starter. The club should be moving heaven and earth to supplement Sanchez and Ozil with like for like quality. However rather than add players to compound the quality of Sanchez and Ozil. The club would be more than willing to sell Sanchez and Ozil and pivot back to Wally and Olly, and sit on the cash.

I dont think Wenger understands how sh.. next season would be if we lose Sanchez. if you thought this was a bad year, take Sanchez and Ozil away, and we couldn't say we have a better strike midfielder and striker than Everton's Lakuku and Barkley.

This year was falling out the top 4 and behind Spurs (yes its happening, they are better than us), however next season could see Everton overtake us, and us competing with West Ham and Southampton for 8th spot.

Wenger is a naive fool if he thinks it cant happen. Thats why I find his casual attitude in press conferences insulting. Because he is either playing down the seriousness of the situation, or simply doesnt knows what going on.

Not for me I'm afraid - if sanchez sticks around for another year of this shit then he will lose all credibility for me. The thing many of us love about sanchez is his utter commitment to winning games and trophies - how could a player programmed that way, suddenly be willing to write off another years of his career, just to play with these showers of pri*ks ? That he would also be willing to piss away a year just so that he could sign for one of our hated rivals next year, wouldn't exactly endear him to the Gooner Army either

There's no way Sanchez is staying. Wenger is simply a complete liar who writes the narrative as he wants it to be, rather than how it actually is.

He does it with absolutely everything, and the press just accept it. Whether it's declaring top four a trophy, claiming a player is injured when he's dropped, determining "turning points" of the season (this year's was the home league game to Hull), being part of a club that announces 60K gates, stating that his team are still in the title race when they're fifth and 20 points behind, claiming this is his greatest ever side... the list is endless.

He tells everything how he wants it to be perceived, rather than the actual reality, and for reasons I don't fully understand, the press take his every word as gospel.

There's a lot of brainwashed AKBs who lap up his every word, but as Wenger himself once said, it's easier to continue fooling people than it is to get them to accept that they've been fooled.

He knows full well the extent of Sanchez's dissatisfaction, but chooses to play dumb so that he doesn't have to speak about it. Then, when Sanchez inevitably leaves in the summer, Wenger will be tanning himself on the beach and won't have to deal with it. He'll eventually play the victim, even though he's 100% responsible.

Recently found and joined this forum and to my surprise found so many people have my views regarding Wenger. I honestly thought I was alone in believing that Wenger was a money grabbing and power maniac control freak.
Seen it on TV with he's belittling of our hero Pat Rice and the, somewhat unbelievable, the controlling of Bould. This Manager will take some removing.
I honestly think that to achieve the removal of this very articulate and intelligent Press/Media street wise individual will need a tight co-ordinated approach involving all Arsenal factors, Supporter forum, Black Scarf, etc.
This will need a focal leader and buy in from all forums who want this person removed from Arsenal. By this I mean a collaboration of all factors in co-ordination to achieve the desired result.
Remember, Wenger has a multi million pound Arsenal Press machine to support him and his prevarication will always prevail with the media because of entitlement rights, eg Disagree, no interview.
I'm sure the objective will be achieved, but it's a long haul project. Be strong.

Best wishes from,

Gibson.

Whatever happened to All Blacks NZ rugby psychologist Ceri Evans? :barscarf:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/201 ... p-winners/ -

I'm assuming that Wonga froze him out of any proper involvement. If so this appointment proves that Wonga will just sideline any appointments made to bolster the club coaching & management! :banghead: :banghead: :cussing:

The thing is, Sanchez perhaps wants to stay, and is challenging the club to supplement him with quality players. The last time this happened, was with RVP. RVP challenged the club to prove its ambition, and they withered away and sold RVP and replaced him with Giroud and Podolski. What I want, is for the board to not get their hands on the money. The board want to sell Sanchez and get their 50m, whilst in the process get rid of a 'problem' player, which by their standards is a player telling the club it must do more to improve. If Sanchez sticks to his initial promise, then the board and Wenger might be cornered into actually spending on other players in order to tie up Sanchez as an asset. I would rather have Sanchez for another year, and the money driven board and manager feel the pain of watching a 50m+ asset walk free.

Some fans might say you need to take the money and re-invest it into the team. Is that what you call it, 're-invest'? remember when we sold Nasri and Cesc in the same year and pocketed 60m which was huge money just a few years back. What did the club do? Nothing. Made no effort to sign players and went to Old Trafford with a team so bare thin we had Coquelin make his debut, and a bench of, Fabianksi, Miquel, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lansbury, Ozyakup, Chamakh, Sunu. Got smashed 8-2 then Wenger did the transfer dash.

The club doesnt reinvest money. They bank it. So I would rather Sanchez stay for another year and leave on a free, than these greedy fuckers get another windfall.

Can you imagine modern day Arsenal allowing this to happen??? The entire club is driven by greed, it is inconceivable. In fact if Wenger allowed this to happen Kroenke would probably fire him.
