THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We've still got to go to Boro, Spurs, Stoke and Southampton. I can't see many points from those games.

The man is an arrogant, delusional, narcissistic, Furher complex disgrace:

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, speaking to BBC Sport: "We lost too many duels and we paid for that. There is no obvious reason why. We prepared and everyone prepared well. It's difficult to explain just after the game.

"I don't think my players didn't want it, but we lost duels in decisive moments and that's how games are decided at this level.

"I understand our fans are disappointed and we all are deeply tonight. It's very worrying and disappointing the way we lost the game. Palace were sharp, they beat Chelsea the other day, and that shows they have quality.

"We are in a difficult position. The game tonight doesn't help.

On questions about his future : "I face it in every press conference at the moment but tonight I'm not in the mood to speak about it. At the moment I pay more respect to the fact we had a disappointing result. What counts is how we perform on the pitch, the players and myself and I feel evryone is focused in the club to do it."

Asked if uncertainty about his future is affecting the players: "No, I don't think so."

Walcott: "They just wanted it more. You could tell. You could sense it from the kick off. It was an uphill battle from the kick off" #afc

And still they don't see it:
Winger deserves more respect from the club's fans! I hope he leaves with dignity and not shamed out of his job by the media and fans alike! Football industry is so fickle! I wish u well Arsen Wenger and here's to success in the years ahead for the club I have been supporting since childhood and I am no spring chicken!

So on March 18th after the West Brom rim job Wanka came out and said he knew what he was doing and there would be an announcement "soon".

Fast forward 3 weeks of even more of a shit fest and when asked if there's any news on his future he responds with "none".

Joke club.

It is utterly, utterly, ridiculous and almost comical that whether he is signing a new contract is still being discussed.
The only discussion we should be having now, is who takes over as caretaker manager until the end of the season and who we get in for the next one.
It's now beyond farcical.
