Moreover, why does Perez need to be 'cleared out'? As far as im concerned, Perez should be kept, whilst Walcott should be sold. Whats the point of a clear out, when the ones going are players who nave never been given a proper chance despite showing promise and heart, whilst the ones who routinely take the field and play dismally, are going to be kept on. I was livid When Joel Campbell was loaned out, and Walcott kept - I couldn't fuking believe it.
So even for all this talk about change, the Walcott's, Ramsey's, Giroud's, Gibbs, Coquelin's, are going to stay. And it will be the better players to depart, such as Ozil, Sanchez, Chamberlain, whilst good players who never get a fair chance will be also be sold, like Campbell, Perez, and even Wilshere. One thing about Jack, is you couldn never fault him for effort and his desire to play for Arsenal. Why he is on loan at Bournemouth? Why is there a chance he could be sold?
I actually think if Wenger gets his 'clear out', that we will be much worse. He will throw out the assets, and keep the liabilities, as the liabilities are all 'yes boss' type players who dont rock the boat - which is the biggest quality Wenger looks for in a player.
Walcott, Ramsey, Giroud,Coq, etc,etc.... those are his guys, his little adopted sons...and even if he wanted to get rid of these loyalists, I think he knows that whoever takes them,we will be footing half their wage bill as nobody is going to pay those players anything near to what Wenger does. He overpays these guys right from the start, any natural talent drains out of them after a few seasons under his "guiding hand", they get adopted in to this easy unchallenging world of mediocrity, they never come up on any clubs radar and whatever value they once had is even further diminished. And then to compound this ludicrous state of affairs he re signs them at an even higher wage
Yeah just wanted to add to this 200 Million story. I watched Juventus last night and they have a few players that we were linked with but due to wage demands and just being really bad in the transfer market they went elsewhere.
If you read the story on Kante we wanted him but Chelsea wanted him more !!
So we ended up throwing away 70 Million on Xhaka and Mustafi.
Why would any top player come to Arsenal at this moment, with the team so soft, leaderless and tacticly enept. Fans on the warpath a club at civil war so to speak.
Only a new manager can even begin to start rebuilding what has been so badly broken over a number of years.

you missed out Iwobi
I have to agree with all of this. They have a Hollywood film stars life and Wenger keeps them in a bubble which I think over time has just added to so many poor performances.
Arsenal & Wenker seem to be everywhere in the meeja today!

He's part of the etc,etc....... I don't have the time..there are probably about 30, all told.
Its Walcott that gets to me. This is a player, who has spent over 10 years are a major English club, and has one of the barest trophy cabinets imaginable. For Nasri, RVP, Cesc, it wasnt enough and they all left and have won Premier League and La Liga titles with other major clubs. But Walcott - he stayed because h would never have if this good elsewhere. No other top manager would put up with his piss attitude and passive nature. England froze him out years ago, yet Wenger still persists thinking he has a good player.
The truth is, any top player we have had over the past ten years, fuked off to win trophies elsewhere, and the ones who didnt and stayed - stayed because they had no offers.
Not qualifying for the chumps league and the massive £45 Mill it brings in my opinion will lead to a tightening of the purse strings , not a spending spree.
It is also incredulous to think Wenger would dismantle this team clear out the huge deadwood and start again because he wont .
No chumps league means no cash in my book and the spiral down will continue . The years of neglect will catch up with us very quickly.

Not sure its that important anymore. There is so much money from the Premier League TV deal even the European Cup money isnt that much
A lot of our players have looked good at some stage. For example people were saying Bellerin was world class not so long ago, Mustafi looked good at the start of the season. Even Ramsey looked good for Wales.
It would be interesting to see what another hungry manager could do with the same squad...
All this talk of war chests and directors of football is smoke and mirrors. The team are going through the worst run of form for years and the manager has no answers. We have a few injuries to good players but no more than any other team. There was money spent last close season but we have regressed.
One of the criticisms which has been levelled at Wengers sides over years is no defensive midfielders, we now have three, all fit and we are leaking goals like never before.
Another criticism was not enough strikers, we have Giroud, Wellbeck, Walcott, Perez, Sanchez all fit but not one of them in any sort of form.
We have Ozil who has reportedly been offered £250K+, producing virtually nothing.
We are the number one topic on every sport talk in etc.
On the playing side we are not just underachieving we are in free fall. The only question is where we will be when we bottom out.
We are at the stage now where if the board believes Wenger is Mr Arsenal and we must stick with him we aren't doomed to underachieving we are just doomed.

And yet fans will still turn up at the Emirates and line Kroenke's pockets and he'll get away largely scot-free because our fans are passive and just accept second best.
I get sick of hearing fans saying like 'but what can we do?', well the simplest solution is don't go to games, contrary to myth there are not enough 'tourists' to fill it and they will be looking at Spurs and Chelsea as more interesting anyway before long, but if you do have to go all should take banners slating Kroenke (once we've got rid of Wenger) and embarrass the c**t in public constantly.
Will this happen?, I very much doubt it, if we're stuck with this parasite then I'm done as we will go nowhere but higher midtable and if we have an 'owner' who doesn't give a s**t about winning why the hell should I?.
So the players were given 3 days off after Palace? What an absolute pathetic joke of club. Were the poor diddums upset because of the nasty chanting about not being fit to wear the shirt? Not to mention all those horrid people shouting at the team bus delaying the return to their mansions. Spineless, gutless, yellow COWARDS led by a charlatan, a good for nothing leech, a has been, a fraud, a liar, an adulterer and an absolute cancer on the club.

And yet Kroenke has given Wenger 100s of millions to spend. His main failing is that he hasn't sacked Wenger.
