Wenger Out protest thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

A reader of this forum and a fellow WoB contacted me last week saying if we hit our £2500k target, he would match it. I thought it was a wind up or there was some catch but he contacted me yesterday, said there was £403 in the fund and to show his good intent he would put another £500 in...which, if you go check the page, he has subsequently done. So basically he is prepared to match, at the end of every week, what we can raise. This is somebody really putting his money where his mouth is and we need to take him up on his generous offer..
Is it Steve Bould,or Vic Ackers? 8)
Bould??? That's like a turkey voting for Christmas.

I'd like to think people would take this shit seriously. I see Augie put another £50 in..Cheers mate.

I do take it seriously, but not at the expense of a joke now and then,(check the "Merry Pranksters" out, they changed a lot more than a football club),and I HAVE put money in,but if I am not committed enough so be it,I will leave it to the clique.
I am not in the loop anyway, and I don't do Virtue Signalling.

Well done everyone who has donated their hard earned cash, gave up their valuable time and supported the campaign on social media etc.

Guys...next Sunday 23rd pre semi final.......

We have an open top Protest Bus leaving Highbury at 11am. There will be banners, the 4th place trophy, somebody in that stupid coat he wears......all of it will be on display...A parody of what we could/should be celebrating. The bus will arrive at Wembley at 2pm. So whether you are going to the game or not we would like as many of you to make the effort to be there. Please do not bring alcohol, we do not want to project the image of a bunch of Hooray Henry's on a knees up. The press will crucify us. There will be a pub stop along the way

Please PM me if you can make it as we would like to get an idea of numbers. Bring a mate if you want to.If you are not 100% in the Wenger Out camp don't bother showing up...you won't be welcome. This is a protest.

Starting to see a lot of comments on social media and even on here criticising the protestors as "fame hungry" and "in it for the cash" or variations of those idiotic sentiments.

AKBs and also begrudgers really are scraping the bottom of the barrell.

Cash?? I can pretty much guarantee that everyone involved is out of pocket in some way or the other......None of us want to be in the papers...we do want the message in it though. Why do you want your face in the media spotlight...all you get is abuse.

I definitely want to be on the bus :barscarf:

The thing about being fame-hungry is bollocks, whatever they say. There was basically a 'no faces' policy when we were going around London landmarks on Saturday. It's certainly not about us, it's all about getting TOF out and keeping the media spotlight on him 8)

Sean you are on the bus for sure. I don't give a shit what anybody says anymore...petrol, train tickets...none of those expenses have come out of the donations...everybody has paid their own way. Like you I had to get the tube back to my car on Saturday, I got home at 12.45am. You think I care what some blokes on Twitter have to say? Fuck 'em.
