Wenger Out protest thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

AKBs and also begrudgers really are scraping the bottom of the barrell.
Cash?? I can pretty much guarantee that everyone involved is out of pocket in some way or the other......None of us want to be in the papers...we do want the message in it though. Why do you want your face in the media spotlight...all you get is abuse.
Yep, definitely out of pocket but hopefully it will be worth it. As far as the banners go, generally the press want to see your face and i have been asked to hold the banner lower. Believe me, I'd much rather not be in the papers as I'm no Brad Pitt!

Looked like a good selection of banners out after the game.

Hopefully everyone will know by now that a general Election has been called for June 8th.

This is an Excellent Opportunity for us to get more "WENGER OUT" Banners/Signs in the meedja spotlight - Let's not miss this golden opportunity.

Even if you are non-political or do not intend to vote "Please" ensure you use this chancey to further raise the profile of our cause to even higher levels

We have an open top Protest Bus leaving Highbury at 11am. There will be banners, the 4th place trophy, somebody in that stupid coat he wears......all of it will be on display...A parody of what we could/should be celebrating. The bus will arrive at Wembley at 2pm. So whether you are going to the game or not we would like as many of you to make the effort to be there. Please do not bring alcohol, we do not want to project the image of a bunch of Hooray Henry's on a knees up. The press will crucify us. There will be a pub stop along the way

Please PM me if you can make it as we would like to get an idea of numbers. Bring a mate if you want to.If you are not 100% in the Wenger Out camp don't bother showing up...you won't be welcome. This is a protest.
I have PM'd you mate. :barscarf:

To be honest Flash, if he signs a renewal, which most of us expect him too, the continued Wenger out mantra won't be pointless.

mate if the last month or two doesnt make him consider his future nothing will, if he signs another contract it will be (at least) two years before he will leave, its now or never spend the money wisely

We would never put a candidate forward. FFS we cannot get 30 people to get on a protest bus because there's no booze. Now we are desperately trying to find ways to protest without having to get bodies involved because most people won't really do much more than post complaints online.

Damn...and there was I, hoping to be the Wenger Out candidate for Islington North. Up against Jeremy, I think I may well have had half a chance.

xisstential wrote:Apologies to the Mods for putting this on here as well but nobody really goes to the Fundraiser thread...so....

A reader of this forum and a fellow WoB contacted me last week saying if we hit our £2500k target, he would match it. I thought it was a wind up or there was some catch but he contacted me yesterday, said there was £403 in the fund and to show his good intent he would put another £500 in...which, if you go check the page, he has subsequently done. So basically he is prepared to match, at the end of every week, what we can raise. This is somebody really putting his money where his mouth is and we need to take him up on his generous offer.

We had something really eye catching planned after our "banner tour" in London last night but unfortunately it eventually became prohibitively expensive. Now if we can continue to contribute and encourage others to do so as well, and with our generous benefactor we can definitely do what we originally planned and more. And I promise you, this will really get peoples attention. So those of you who can, please give.......
Come on Gooners Dig Deep! For those who cannot make it to the Protests "please" Do your bit and give Generously, imagine in a few years/decades time you can turn to your Grandchildren and Proudly say

"I Helped Get Wenger Out Of Arsenal"

Come on Gooners we need as many as possible to make it - I know it's a Sunday and travelling on a Sunday is a real pain in the arris, BUT we need to keep the pressure ON before the season is over. Giving Up Just Half A DayDay Could Make ALL The Difference.

If only a Third of the Gooners who come on here calling for WENGER OUT get there then we can fill the bus easily. Please DON'T Leave It To Someone Else get Your Butts In Gear and Be Part Of The Changes We Want To See At ARSENAL!
