The Message stays the same ,same old flannel and promises with leaks to the collected few of the Grandiose schemes that end with the signing of a Yaya-alike hopeful and some end of contract crocks .

We have seen it all before,Wenger is staying now I think !

The Times claim Arsene Wenger is unhappy with the board over the lack of support they have shown him this season.

Aw ,they gave him 90m and he spunked it away,on mustafi xhaka and Perez (not that he gave him a chance )

Here's the full article. Some speculative nonsense in there. Rift with Gazidis yet Wenger thinks board statement would've carried more weight of it had come from him or Kroenke? Wenger wants to sign but board wants him to wait for fear of fan backlash.

Wenger upset over Arsenal’s lack of support

Arsène Wenger is frustrated by the lack of public support that he has received from Arsenal during his side’s struggles this season.

The club released a statement from chairman Sir Chips Keswick last month acknowledging that they “understood the debate” about Wenger’s future but it stopped short of endorsing the manager of 21 years, insisting only that a decision about a new deal “will be made by us mutually and communicated at the right time in the right way”.

Wenger has told Arsenal that he is ready to sign the new two-year contract that has been on the table for him since last summer, but the club are wary of a backlash from fans and want him to wait until the end of the season.

Despite his public claims to the contrary, Wenger fears that the constant speculation over his future has begun to unsettle his players, who have lost three of their past six Premier League matches to slip to sixth in the table, seven points off the Champions League places.

Wenger believes that Arsenal could have done more to support him, particularly as he has made it clear that he wants to carry on next season, even if they fail to secure a top-four spot for the first time under his stewardship.

The Frenchman is understood to have been unimpressed by last month’s statement and believes it would have carried more weight had it come from Stan Kroenke, the majority shareholder, or Ivan Gazidis, the chief executive.

There is also tension behind the scenes between Wenger and Gazidis over plans to restructure Arsenal’s football department. Gazidis has always been a strong supporter of Wenger’s but wants to make changes with a view to planning for his departure, including the appointment of a sporting director to oversee the club’s transfer policy.

Dick Law, Arsenal’s chief transfer negotiator, is expected to leave at the end of next season, with Gazidis keen to bring in another expert to work with him in the interim and eventually succeed him. Wenger is resistant to such changes and was annoyed by Gazidis’s announcement at a fans’ group meeting this month that there would be huge changes this summer.

Always about him isn't it? In his mind, he's the centre of the world. He truly believes that he is the club. How fucking dare he fucking demand things when he's so fucking shit at his job and continuily failed to achieve anything noteworthy? I love the fact that he's decided that he wants to stay at the club even if we don't finish in the holy 4th place. No other manager in the world would think this. Everyone else would be scared of the inevitable sack on June 1st but the Furher himself thinks that he'll do exactly what he wants. He's a fucking *word censored* full stop. If the club are scared of a backlash then that tells you something doesn't it?
Nobody wants this *word censored* at the club any more. Nobody likes him, we all hate the fucking sight of him but yet he thinks he fucking deserves to do whatever he wants. Just fucking fuck off. He's a stupid *word censored* because he should know that if he signs that contract, the fans and press and even his allies will turn on him next season. He'll be a dead man walking by 1st September.

I'm still clinging desperately to the hope that the clubs "mutual decision" means they don't want him next season and finishing outside the holy grail of the top 4 gives them the outlet they need.
Coupled with Gazidis implementing a director of football to loosen his grip of power over all aspects of the club and it might be enough for him to get the proper hump and "mutually" agree to fuck off.
Cutting off his dick (Law) and getting someone who can actually conclude transfer negotiations can only be a good thing, but why wait till the end of next season - it seems that dithering is the new Arsenal way !
Replacing Primoric (who does what exactly ?) and Gerry Peyton, 2 of his loyal* club servants is another well aimed blow to his pride, picking off Team Wenker till only the Emperor, naked for all to see is left.

*highly paid non-entity

To my mind "understanding the debate" means, we know he needs to go..........keeping fingers, toes, legs, eyes all crossed.

I hope so too StuartL. Whiles I don't believe the board are necessarily Wenger out I do think they are seriously concerned about the on-going backlash from the fans as this is quite clearly affecting their 'product'. Wenger has helped Kroenke double the value of his stake without him having to put a penny into the business. He's not going to get rid of his golden egg laying goose that easily but poor end to the season, no CL football + low uptake in ST renewals might force a re-think about handing him a new contract. I have some experience with writing and negotiating contracts and there's a lot of brinkmanship involved. It has already been clarified that we have a legal obligation to publicly announce a new contract has been signed as our shares are still traded on NEX. What's clear though is that Wenger no longer holds the 4 aces if any at all, to borrow a phrase from a James Hardley Chase classic.

From what we know Wenger is 100% safe he has total support from Kronke that has not changed, Wenger has said as much previously

What we know from Gazidis meeting with AST he is amenable to change....this change probably means from what we know taking some load of Wenger....appointing a director of football, Overmars has said he is on a list of possible candidates

Wenger is totally resisting this move.....HIS position at Arsenal is not at risk....he will be there next year

We're already getting a load of Wenger thank you we don't want any more!.

I want someone like Vieira, not sure about Overmars, he was only at the club for 2-3 seasons and I might be being unfair but I could see him being a bit of a yes man again, I think Vieira would not take any s**t from Arsene, which is why we won't get him, which again is why our board are a bunch of cowardly, spineless c**ts who should be hounded out of the club by any means.

I'm not liking this increased bitchiness and resentment on here between those who are protesting and those who aren't or won't. Fuck sake lads, we're all Arsenal here - and largely Wenger Out at that. Lots of us here have ranted at and lamented the situation at the club for years now and now that something is finally being done, we're sniping at each other. These protests should have happened many years ago.

I don't think this side issue of Kroenke is helping either. We need to get Wenger out first, then go after Kroenke. Believe it or not, it's much 'easier' to sack a manager (apart from our own leech of course) than a billionaire who owns 70% of our club. The season ticket/attending matches debate has gone in circles for years too. Keeping pressure on Wenger is the name of the game and it has kept the story in the media and kept pressure on him - along with the shite results since the end of January - which we all know he hates.

This fixation with the board whiles the dinosuar is in-situ will never go away. I've asked how we can overcome the mutual exclusivity of targeting board and Wenger without diluting the message and still yet to see any credible suggestions.

I'm feeling the same way mate, nobody should expect everyone to share the exact same thought process - each is entitled to their opinion.
In fighting on here, at the games, it's all a far cry from the togetherness that I remember and loved from my time as a match experience participant for many years.
