Shamefully, we have been Chelsea's bitches for 13 years and counting, ever since they beat us in the QF of the Champions' League in the invincibles season. They have consistently beaten us or humiliated us (6-0), taken our best players and ex-players at will, signed players who should have been ours (Kante) and won countless trophies including becoming the first London club to win the Champions' League.
Instead of feeling the pain and the shame of being in Chelsea's wake for so long, the general view of too many of our fans has been "well at least we're still above Tottenham, which is what really matters....St Totteringham's Day.....forever in our shadow". Frankly, it's bollocks in the grand scheme of things. Let their fans obsess about us - we're bigger than that. Or rather, we should be.
I would hate to lose to Chelsea every bit as much as I would hate to lose to Tottenham. Because only when we start to feel the anger and pain of being so clearly second-best to them can we set the standards we need to aspire to. And because I despite Chelsea with a passion.
Cue lots of indignant responses about "how can any gooner hate another club as much as Tottenham". Each to their own, I guess. I hate Chelsea's arrogance, the way they bastardised the game with financial doping before Citeh even thought of it, their chavvy fans and penchant for attracting the most horrible players imaginable, like Terry and Costa.

The last sentence is a bit harsh fs, although I have noticed your childish insults to others on the forum! I heartily commend you donating to the cause, but I have noticed you not wanting to boycott the stadium or harass the overpaid pussyboy players on the way to games that mean fuck all to fans, and just generally being negative to the protest ideas in general. I don't post all that often, but I am always watching and to be honest herd in so many different ways, topics and issues, I find you a really annoying c*ntHerd wrote:dCloakedGooner wrote:He does. Did I really or did you just read that from someone else's narcissism fueled rant and jump on the bandwagon ?

I did caution about the effectiveness of a 13th min protest and taking moral high grounds that don't exist but that aside I like you have been cheering the protesters on and raised an a4 sheet during the West Ham game which is the only 1 I've been to this year .

I did not suggest you should "whip yourself into a frenzy" over a monday night game at middlesborough (btw this is a thread about the game against man city not middlesbrough) but i did question why anyone would put time or effort into a club they actually want to lose games...makes no sense to me but each to their own.I will support the wenger out campaign in whatever way i am able to, and feel comfortable with, but i will not watch The Arsenal hoping they lose.Anyone who may suggest that wanting the team to win makes me not care as much as them about the future of the club can crack on...i disagree..northbank123 wrote:The reason why people might want the team to lose - agree or not - is generally because they do actually care deeply about the club and think it may hasten along the departure of this selfish prick who has completely changed the club for the worse and turned it into something unrecognisable in the last decade.rich31 wrote:I find all this wanting The Arsenal to lose thing just pointless.I want wenger gone..i want kroenke gone but when it gets to the stage where you want The Arsenal to lose then its surely just time to walk away.If you dont care if we win or lose then you arent really a "supporter" of The Arsenal anymore are you?.....Fuck off wenger, fuck off kroenke but i will never say fuck off Arsenal, just because of the current owner/ manager or on the off chance it might change the regime...I am as bloody frustrated as anyone BUT i will never want my team to lose and if you do then as i said maybe its time to walk away ,as what are you getting from it anymore?
The moment that I find I no longer care about whether or not there is anything resembling a proper football club in the rubble of Arsene FC when he finally fucks off, I won't bother coming on forums or watching any more football. Until that time forgive me if I don't whip myself into a frenzy about a meaningless April Monday night game at Middlesbrough that may determine whether we finish 6th or 7th and 22 or 25 points off the winners.

You're putting the horse before the carriage in asking why people bother caring if they want the club to lose. The point is that they want the team to lose because they care about the club.rich31 wrote:I did not suggest you should "whip yourself into a frenzy" over a monday night game at middlesborough (btw this is a thread about the game against man city not middlesbrough) but i did question why anyone would put time or effort into a club they actually want to lose games...makes no sense to me but each to their own.I will support the wenger out campaign in whatever way i am able to, and feel comfortable with, but i will not watch The Arsenal hoping they lose.Anyone who may suggest that wanting the team to win makes me not care as much as them about the future of the club can crack on...i disagree..northbank123 wrote:The reason why people might want the team to lose - agree or not - is generally because they do actually care deeply about the club and think it may hasten along the departure of this selfish prick who has completely changed the club for the worse and turned it into something unrecognisable in the last decade.rich31 wrote:I find all this wanting The Arsenal to lose thing just pointless.I want wenger gone..i want kroenke gone but when it gets to the stage where you want The Arsenal to lose then its surely just time to walk away.If you dont care if we win or lose then you arent really a "supporter" of The Arsenal anymore are you?.....Fuck off wenger, fuck off kroenke but i will never say fuck off Arsenal, just because of the current owner/ manager or on the off chance it might change the regime...I am as bloody frustrated as anyone BUT i will never want my team to lose and if you do then as i said maybe its time to walk away ,as what are you getting from it anymore?

It's never a position I thought I'd be in and I've never taken as little enjoyment out of football, but whilst I care far less about whether this team wins games (predominantly because we are in no danger of winning the likes of the PL or CL, I really don't care if we finish 4th or not and I live in hope that it will hasten the end of the despot, his spineless squad and this pathetic attitude and mentality around the place) but I still care massively about the club. Just not this regime.

If we played 20 Cup Finals against that Chelsea team we might draw one or two.

Well, thank fuck that one nightmare has been averted. If the scum had won today, I would rather we lost 12-0 to City than play them and probably lose in the final. I still think we'll lose tomorrow but it would be quite fitting that the Chavs have one more go at making Wanker look like the massively incompetent fraud he really is. It would be the perfect send-off for him to finish sixth and get thrashed by the Chavs in the final. Anyway, let's see what we manage to do tomorrow. It'll probably be 3-1 to City.

No problem mate. People have a flare up. It happens. Now those c.unts are out I can get back to enjoying the Cup again. There won't be a minute where I'm thinking about Kroenke, Wenger or any other c.unt that runs our club once the whistle is blown. Its all about trophies - I still want us to win this one, and it has no fucking bearing whatsoever on whether Inspector Clueless stays for one or two more years anyway

Amen to that

I was worried shitless that we would be playing the scum in the final, and that would have given me nightmares for the whole week beforehand

I watched the thrashings from West Brom and Crystal Palace completely detached and if anything it was cathartic.
But I agree that this won't make a difference to whether he'll stay or not and actually after years and years of being also-rans then the chance to be in a huge final against Chelsea would be a very welcome change. Obviously a glutton for punishment.

We do not mate, and can I say this site is a lot better modded than any other gooner forum I have posted on. Most have power mad mods who hand out bans too freely which crushes opinions at times.
