As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

No greater appetite for being humiliated by Chelsea in the final than had it been Tottenham.

Let's hope it doesn't come to that. Will take no pleasure or pride if City get careless. It merely prolongs the misery and amplifies the agony

The reason why people might want the team to lose - agree or not - is generally because they do actually care deeply about the club and think it may hasten along the departure of this selfish prick who has completely changed the club for the worse and turned it into something unrecognisable in the last decade.

The moment that I find I no longer care about whether or not there is anything resembling a proper football club in the rubble of Arsene FC when he finally fucks off, I won't bother coming on forums or watching any more football. Until that time forgive me if I don't whip myself into a frenzy about a meaningless April Monday night game at Middlesbrough that may determine whether we finish 6th or 7th and 22 or 25 points off the winners.
I did not suggest you should "whip yourself into a frenzy" over a monday night game at middlesborough (btw this is a thread about the game against man city not middlesbrough) but i did question why anyone would put time or effort into a club they actually want to lose games...makes no sense to me but each to their own.I will support the wenger out campaign in whatever way i am able to, and feel comfortable with, but i will not watch The Arsenal hoping they lose.Anyone who may suggest that wanting the team to win makes me not care as much as them about the future of the club can crack on...i disagree..
You're putting the horse before the carriage in asking why people bother caring if they want the club to lose. The point is that they want the team to lose because they care about the club.

It's never a position I thought I'd be in and I've never taken as little enjoyment out of football, but whilst I care far less about whether this team wins games (predominantly because we are in no danger of winning the likes of the PL or CL, I really don't care if we finish 4th or not and I live in hope that it will hasten the end of the despot, his spineless squad and this pathetic attitude and mentality around the place) but I still care massively about the club. Just not this regime.
I take and understand your point mate..i think we are singing from pretty similar hymn sheets ..i am just not at the point where i can hope to see us lose ..especially when i cant see any bad results making a blind bit of difference to whether the stubborn, arrogant old b@stard stays or goes.Lets face it a 6-0 mauling on your 1000th game in charge (let alone all the other humiliations) would of had most right minded people questioning whether they are still up to the job..but not this bloke

I think the tide has finally truly turned now over the last few months.

Not that it will make a difference to the board (who will offer him the deal anyway) or in all likelihood Wenger.

The expectations are so low, that a resilient and hard fought 2-1 loss would be seen a positive.

Did I really or did you just read that from someone else's narcissism fueled rant and jump on the bandwagon ?
I realise your lazy and not very bright but if you go back and read my posts ,you will find ideas and messages of support not to mention money.
I did caution about the effectiveness of a 13th min protest and taking moral high grounds that don't exist but that aside I like you have been cheering the protesters on and raised an a4 sheet during the West Ham game which is the only 1 I've been to this year .
That doesn't make me Che ,but it doesn't make me the enemy either nor does wanting the team to win make me an AKB which some idiots would have me be.
I also have issues with the American political standpoint that if you don't agree with everything I do then your as bad as the enemy approach ,but that's a subtlety which many fail to grasp but I cant be arsed to go into that again.
So thanks for the label cloaked goner and may the fleas from a thousand camels balls lie in the mouth of your firstborn.
The last sentence is a bit harsh fs, although I have noticed your childish insults to others on the forum! I heartily commend you donating to the cause, but I have noticed you not wanting to boycott the stadium or harass the overpaid pussyboy players on the way to games that mean fuck all to fans, and just generally being negative to the protest ideas in general. I don't post all that often, but I am always watching and to be honest herd in so many different ways, topics and issues, I find you a really annoying c*nt :x
Alright lads, you've both had your say. Let's leave the personal abuse there. :|
Sorry DB, got a bit unnecessarily heated. No problem I'll let it go from here :|
Job done have a nice day . and to all those wishing us to lose I hope you have a bad day tommorow because for me we have a free pass for tommorow win and its a cup final .lose and its expected.
Id sacrifice any though just to win at the swamp and ruin their season.

Lightening isn't going to strike twice. We are not getting past City and Chelsea. I fully expect an open ill disciplined game today followed by upheaval from the blind optimists. I appreciate it's City and they are just as inconsistent but we've been poor since Jan and shipping goals for fun.

Game against Lincoln and Sutton have given us the easiest route to a semi-final imaginable. In truth we shouldn't be anywhere near a semi-final and the best we an hope for is to avoid a hammering, which I think we'll manage. Just.
3-1 City.

Can enjoy our semi final a bit more now that the nightmare scenario of playing sp*rs in the final has been avoided. City are as inconsistent as we are so this could go either way.

This. We are well capable of beating City who are massively hit and miss and leak goals for fun at the back.

I think we are likely to lose given the way we have played over the last three months and given the standard of performance we've put in at Wembley over the years - the Villa final is the only time we have played well there. But it wouldn't be a massive surprise if we won. Don't forget that despite us being appalling at home to them they managed to let us off the hook and ran out of steam after about 25 minutes.

Stupid fucker that I am, I turned down a ticket for this and decided to work. I won't even get to watch it. Been regretting the decision over the last couple of days though and wish I was on my way to Wembley now.
Since the draw I've been struggling with the "will a defeat be the best scenario" thing. Realistically, it probably would be, and if you said to me defeat today guarantees Wenger fucking off,id take it in a heartbeat.....but we all know that's not necessarily the case.

So fuck it...its the cup semi final....COME ON ARSENAL!!!

As for the result, I've got a feeling we might get something....but we could also lose 5-0, so who knows.

Have a good day all those going...

SHE WORE.
