THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Ian Wright talking SHIT again

I responded by telling Wrighty that a decent owner would have sacked Wenger years ago.

Could you imagine the likes of Abramovich allowing a manager to go 13 years without winning the league?

Wouldn't have lasted 13 months under the Russian without a trophy let alone 13 years

Yes because once the pressure gets high enough he actually does his fucking work and actually tries to manage the team. It's just taking longer and longer each season for him to wake up from his arrogant and deluded wengerworld.

When I think back to 2007 I thought Wenger would leave because Dein was his friend as well as a fantastic force in the boardroom. I now see that when he was sacked Wenger gained total power.
Dein was the board member who was above Wenger and would have the power to hire and fire.
Wright said that the guy who does transfers now is utterly useless and I don't expect any good signings this summer they will go to City, United and Chelsea.
Wenger will sign a new deal and we will lose to Chelsea but gloat about getting to another FA Cup final.
His big idea for the next 10 years is Ramsey. Wow that's a great plan but football fans have short memories so 10 v 2 against Bayern does not matter now we got to a cup final. That being said it makes the 27th something to look forward too. Win or lose yesterday he was always going to stay because as I said fans have short memories.

We'd have wiped the floor with Munich, West Brom and Palace if it wasn't for that dastardly Kroenke :banghead:
I wish Wrighty would drop the punditry. I wanna remember The Arsenal Legend IWWW, not this flip flopping media whore... :(

As for the owner. Kroenke is a huge part of the problem, but ONLY because he won't do his job and sack Wenger. :banghead:

I think it's an unfair criticism really. We paid £550 for a bus and got 7 people. SEVEN...nobody wanted to go because there was no booze. I know some of the guys that are ALWAYS there must be looking around thinking what the hell is the point. I feel like that most of the time. And then of course there's Wenger and his devils luck.....

If you look at the majority of our fan base,we deserve him...Ian Wright is actually the walking, talking embodiment of the modern day, flip flopping Arsenal supporter. He's our cheerleader :?

I don't think SteveO was referring to you or the other protest leaders that have done sterling work, mate. At least I hope he wasn't.

the media flip flopping again.

i really can't wait till wenger leaves and we can start to judge our managers objectively instead of carrying on with this misty eyed nostalgia

I didn't want to go because there was no booze-its just that I went to the recent West Ham game, saw that there was no enthusiasm for any protest and just figured that this type of people would be present at the Cup semi final, and in even more hyped up AKB mode than usual.
(to be honest I don't identify with the majority of our match going fans anymore)
You should consider yourselves lucky that the bus received zero media coverage - because after the win yesterday I am afraid that you would be portrayed as ungrateful bastards  - not a view that I agree with but there you go.

Well done for trying to do something...but I am afraid there will be little point to protests now for the rest of the season, now that Wenger has his cup final again :cussing:

@OllieHolt22

So, 2nd in PL last season + now a 3rd FA Cup final in 4 years: those poor, poor Arsenal fans suffering thru living hell under Arsene Wenger
Yeah because that's what has us wanting him gone - the last 4 years. Not the last decade of unmitigated failure and repeated mistakes. Yep, a club the size of The Arsenal should be thrilled to be a cup team. Fuck the CL and the PL, only pimped clubs like the chav and citeh should have those ambitions. Yep.

Oliver Holt is a fucking twat. A smug one dimensional flip flopping media whore dicktard. :x

Couldn't agree more - holt seems to be an arrogant c.unt who talks in a way that suggests that he is looking down on everyone else, and that his opinion is so much more valuable than the rest  He speaks really slowly as if that adds weight and affect to the nonsense he is spouting  He can fcuk right off as far as I am concerned  :censored: :censored:

He is just a bitter Manc who realises that the expected dominance of both Manchester clubs this season is not happening and that the real power in English football now lies in London. This is the most dominant period by top London clubs since the Football league started back in the 19th century.
