Cesc in the news as Skysports fuel more speculation

Post by AFC 49'er »

I have a nasty feeling of Deja Vu.

Four seasons ago PV4 was on his way until he gave the emotional press conference saying it was "his love for the club" that kept him here - the following season he left

TH14 after the champions league final defeat said, there was "unfinished business". A season later and he's gone

CF4 made a public announcement, his future is linked to AW. The papers are saying the Arsenal Board will offer a new contract to Arsene with a "get out clause".

We all know AW needs to offload Reyes, so obviously, there is contact between AFC and Real, so only someone living on Neptune would discount talk about Cesc.

I would not have worried too much, had CF4's damn agent not denied an approach. About five weeks ago, TH14's agent did the same.

Again, I state, I would not have been too concerned about matters because CF4 is a Barcalona fan, so the Real/Barcelona issue is the same as AFC/Tottenham, but then I read this article

http://www.eatsleepsport.com/news_detai ... d=1&t_id=1

Now for Skysports - You can ignore all the bogus posts on the web and papers, but if Skysports announce something it is usually based on more truth than fantasy.

Since they broke the Vieira epic and the Henry saga, am I though only one feeling a little worried?

If CF4 stays, will he be off next season.

To anyone out there who believes a part swap deal involving Cesc/Reyes and Robinho is a good deal - well it isn't

Arsenal need to make it clear to anyone trying to pinch our stars from now on.

Pay or go away - and if you pay, you better pay big.

Yeah i read some of it but the bit I read, that sky sports had got these quotes fromt the sun and it was about Arsene Wenger wanting to swap Fabregas for Robinho and in my opinion is a load of bollocks they have made up.

MIGHTY FINE WORDS MY FRIEND. I'M SURE MOST GOONERS AGREE 100%.

THE AFOREMENTIONED TRANSFER SPECULATION IS NOTHING MORE THAN THAT - SPECULATION. I DON'T BELIEVE IT, AND DON'T THINK ANYONE AT ARSENAL WOULD ACCEPT A STRAIGHT SWAP INVOLVING CESC/REYES FOR ROBINHO (EVEN THOUGH I RATE THE BRAZILIAN).

THE REPORTS CLAIM ARSENAL WOULD WANT £27 MILLION FOR BOTH OUR PLAYERS, OR A STRAIGHT SWAP WITH ROBINHO. WHO DO THEY THINK WE ARE, TESCO? YOU BUY ONE AND GET ONE FREE?? ARSENE WOULD TELL THEM TO BOGOFF!!!!

AND WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MINDS WOULD VALUE CESC AT ONLY AROUND £20 MILLION, IF REYES IS APPARENTLY WORTH AROUND £7MILLION?

TRUST ME MATE, ELEMENTS OF THE STORY MIGHT BE TRUE - NAMELY, REYES IS GOING TO MADRID AND THEM WANTING CESC ALSO; PLUS THE FACT THAT ARSENE RATES ROBINHO AND TRIED TO SIGN HIM LAST YEAR. BUT AS USUAL, THE MEDIA PUT 2 AND 2 TOGETHER AND COME UP WITH BOLLOCKS!!!!

Papers say arsenal star leaving...blah, blah, blah....YAWN!

Reyes/Flamini possiby going to spain, freddie may leave, phil or more likely Djourou out on loan with a few of our reserves/youths other than that no other leavers, so don't even give this type of story any time if i were you.

The whole Reyes saga is dragging on longer than Status Quo FFS! Would not surprise me if those wet backs want a piece of Cesc but, if he were to be sold it would deflate all Gooners the world over.

What message would we be sending out to all other clubs? Come along and bitch slap us as you wish! We are the Arsenal FFS!!!!! My beloved club is being shafted by the media up the bum and the powers that be are doing nothing to help the situation.

I am not given to knee jerk reactions but would someone offer us some faith, hope and clarity!!! I know contracts are not worth jack now but if Arsene produced his biro it might help settle a few nerves around here.

I agree that if Wenger signs now, he will put an end to all these problems, especially the Cesc dramas.

But seriously, if we were asking (as the media say) for 27m for Reyes/Cesc, then we are being robbed!

Chel$ki are getting Malouda for 20!

Cesc should only be allowed to go for 40 or more!

Now I said I would like Robinho, but not for losing Cesc. If we swapped Reyes and a bit of cash for Robinho then I'd be happy and the transfer market could close there and then.

All we need from this transfer market now is a winger, and to get rid of Reyes and that should do.

I'd like more, but take what you get I suppose.

I just saw another report that said Real were warned off Kaka by AC Milan, and so now pursue Cesc.

Why do we not just 'warn them off' Cesc?

Can any of us say with a great degree of certainty that we would not sell cesc ? How many times have we appeared to be bullied by europe's so called big clubs ? Is it that we have an old gentlemans club as our board and therefore would not dare tell another club to go f*ck themselves as it wouldn't be dignified or "the Arsenal way" ? This old clap-trap about not commenting on transfer speculation is now working against us and, while I could understand it for a while, the times have changed and is deeply unsettling our club. When you sell so many of your best players over the years (PV4,anelka,petit,overmars etc) it sets a dangerous precendent and tells the world that we are a selling club so w*nkers like madrid then try to take advantage/piss. Until we play hardball with these clubs like we did with the commie c*nts down in west london then we are in for more of the same. Time for the board to be men and tell madrid that no amount of money will buy cesc, tell them we don't want to hear from them again re reyes until they are interested in making a serious bid(£10m) and then issue a statement to the media informing them of the above and telling the world we are no longer willing to be a selling club

OK, this just might sound dumb but, I could handle selling Henry (Respect!!!) as he left last year anyway! Cesc is a far different story but. He should be seen as the future of Arsenal not some bargaining tool in a bid to offload that turd Reyes.

Gallas is giving off again but in many ways I cannot blame him, I just hope "Arsene Knows" because I do not any more!

Because we don't have the mafia connections, i don't know exactly what form this warning off took but i'd be willing to bet it involved kneecaps and sledgehammers.
